The building is a faux three-story Western-style house with a cream-colored exterior wall, pink eaves, and an independent garden. The lower floor includes a practice room, a piano, a dining room, and a living room where Hong Xian Nu once hosted Zhou Enlai, Deng Yingchao, and other cultural figures. The most striking features are the pink fabric sofa, recliner, and curtains, which earned her the nickname 'Guangzhou Barbie.' The floors are connected by a spiral staircase. The second floor houses Hong Xian Nu's bedroom, study, guest room, and an exhibition hall, which is currently hosting an exhibition of her opera costumes and calligraphy.
