Celebrate the festive season in December with a new hotel! Join us for a new culinary experience this Winter Solstice. The Harmony Hotel in Wan Chai had its grand opening in December, and we were among the first to visit! We started with a rich Chinese meal and then moved to the hotel's Western restaurant to enjoy a variety of international dishes, desserts, and cocktails. First, we stepped into the Chinese restaurant Harmony Pavilion on the 20th floor! The environment is very elegant, and the restaurant has up to 16 private rooms. Harmony Pavilion offers stylish contemporary Cantonese cuisine, with a series of meticulously crafted dishes designed around the 24 solar terms. We were fortunate to witness the chef team's carefully designed dishes! These included Salmon Roe and Green Lobster Dumplings, Swan-shaped Radish Puffs, Crab Meat and Avocado Baked Stuffed Crab Shells, Duckweed and Chrysanthemum Tofu Soup with Lily and Chinese Yam, Honey-glazed Barbecued Pork, Steamed Grouper Fillet with Bean Curd and Lotus Leaf, Pan-fried Golden Oysters with Lettuce Cups, and Lobster Soup with Shrimp Balls and Wild Mushrooms Braised Pearl Rice. All the dishes were very attractive and reasonably priced, making it a great choice for those who love Chinese cuisine. Duck lovers should not miss the Harmony Pavilion's Peking Duck! The roasted meat section of the Chinese restaurant is very sincere, and watching the chef slice the fragrant duck skin piece by piece made our mouths water uncontrollably. The Peking Duck comes with a variety of rich accompaniments, each offering a different taste experience! The duck skin is kept warm and soft in a heated container, ensuring it remains delicious. The desserts are also very exquisite! There are Japanese-style Matcha Mochi and nourishing Snow Lotus Seed, Silver Ear, and Bird's Nest Stewed Papaya. After seeing so many wonderful dishes, it's time for me to enjoy them! Today, I tried the Harmony Pavilion lunch set for $428 per person! The first course was the Harmony Assortment, which included Rainbow Shrimp Dumplings, Crab Roe Siu Mai, and Charcoal-grilled Pork Belly. The Charcoal-grilled Pork Belly had crispy skin and flavorful meat, with well-defined layers of fat and lean meat, and the seasoning was just right, making it very enticing. The Rainbow Shrimp Dumplings had smooth and non-sticky translucent skin, with sweet and crunchy shrimp inside, a classic delicious taste. The Crab Roe Siu Mai was very full and had a loose texture, making it very tasty. The Golden Crispy Rice with Grouper Fillet had tender and delicious fish, and the crispy rice, enhanced with salted egg yolk, added a salty and fragrant new taste that was very fresh. The Braised Goose Web with Shiitake Mushrooms in Abalone Sauce had a rich and enticing abalone sauce, the shiitake mushrooms were well-braised and tender, and the goose web was thick and absorbed the essence of the abalone sauce, making it rich and delicious. The Minced Tofu with Bamboo Fungus and Seafood Soup showcased excellent knife skills! The tofu strands were silky and melted in the mouth, with plenty of crunchy shrimp inside, making it very fresh and fragrant. The Stir-fried Rice Noodles with Crab Meat and Celery had plenty of white and sweet crab meat, the rice noodles were dry-fried and not greasy at all, and the addition of Jinhua Ham added a salty and fresh touch, making the taste even more fragrant. The nostalgic Sesame Roll had a smooth texture and was not sticky, with a rich sesame flavor, making it very delicious. The Almond Tea with Egg White was not to my taste, so I gave it to a friend who loves this dessert to enjoy. With so many festive days ahead, everyone has another great place to enjoy Chinese cuisine and gather for celebrations.

I love going out for dinner with friends after work. For a convenient and comfortable location, we chose the Lobby Cafe at Hopewell Hotel for a semi-buffet dinner. There are various appetizers, specialty salads, salad greens, Parma ham, and a cheese platter. Some dishes are even spring specials. My favorite is the crab meat and roe avocado mango papaya salad, which is bursting with fresh crab meat and is my top choice among salads. There are two types of salmon sashimi: yuzu salmon with green apple vinaigrette, which is refreshing and cuts through the richness, and beetroot salmon, which is sweet and succulent. There are both Chinese and Western soups and desserts, with unlimited coffee and tea. For an additional HK$100-200, you can enjoy a main course. Options include beef, pork, lamb, fish, and chicken. You can share different dishes with friends. My personal favorites are the roasted Australian lamb rack with seasonal vegetables and balsamic sauce (+HK$200) and the Korean-style braised beef ribs with rice (+HK$150). The lamb rack is perfectly roasted, maintaining a pink hue and tender texture without any gamey taste. The Korean-style beef ribs are slightly spicy, with tender meat that pairs excellently with rice. The desserts are also quite special, including freshly made sweet and sticky osmanthus rice cakes, goji berry osmanthus jelly, popular pistachio mousse cake, jasmine tea white peach meringue, cookies, and apple crumble. Finally, don't forget to have a cup of Movenpick ice cream! After long calls, the Hopewell Hotel, which reportedly cost 1.5 billion to build, finally met in December. As a gourmet, of course, the first time to visit the hotel restaurants, the first stop to introduce, is the Chinese restaurant He Wo Hin. There is no very luxurious décor, taking the plain route, but the restaurant has sixteen living rooms, available for different occasions, suitable for family gatherings or business dinners. Without further ado, let's see what his lunch set has to offer! The first one at Hei Wo Plaza has both dim sum and barbecue. The dim sum is traditional shrimp dumplings and siu-mai, which is quite to my liking, because I never think that you have to have shrimp dumplings and siu-mai to be like drinking tea. The siu-mai is full and has a solid texture. The shrimp dumplings are full of ingredients. The skin of the clear noodles is added with different colors, which makes the appearance more attractive. Two pork belly, crispy skin and distinct layers. The set will naturally have soup, Wen Si Tofu Bamboo Shoot Sea Emperor Soup, full of ingredients, drink soup or soup most importantly the soup is hot enough, here can do, has won half. As soon as you step into LOBBY CAFÉ | BAR, you will find the bakery, which serves a variety of exquisite cakes, shortbread and candies. Dessert fans should pay attention to the freshly baked desserts every day. We tried several products today! They include coffee walnut cake, Greek yogurt cheesecake, raspberry tart and chocolate grapefruit cake. The highlight of the day was the bar area managed by the handsome Bartender! The lobby bar offers a range of specially crafted cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as snacks and à la carte dishes such as sandwiches, salads and vegetarian dishes. On this day, the Bartender at the Handsome Bar showcased a variety of very bright and delicious cocktails. Not only were the tastes attractive, but the presentation was also very easy to check in.
