[2025 Luquan Attraction] Travel Guide for Jiaozi Snow Mountain - Viewing Platform (Updated Jun)

We focused on relaxing and not tiring, sleeping in, walking, and drinking coffee. This is our plan. (Actually, the plan was very tight, but we woke up late and left at 1:00 PM, so we didn't make it in time 🥳) December 24-27, 24 Day 0: Arrive in Kunming at 1:00 AM, return to the room, eat street food Day 1: Wenlin Street > Kunming Old Pedestrian Street Day 2: 1 Day Tour Jiaozi Snow Mountain (buy a tour with Trip.com) Day 3: Guandu Ancient Town > Bangkok A quick explanation of the trip Day 1: Visit Wenlin Street, take pictures with the ginkgo trees, stop by a cafe along the way, take pictures, and walk around looking for food. The last stop is the Kunming Old Market. Before going back to the room, buy dinner at Street food as usual. Day 2: Buy a tour with Trip.com as a 1-day trip. Wake up early because I have to be on time for the meeting place at 6:30. It is a tour that opens up the world of China's mountains. The weather is cold. Hope to see snow, but only a little. Going up and down the mountain takes the whole day. The tour ends at 6 pm and returns to the city at 9 pm. Today is very tiring. End the day by using Street food as usual. (You can read more on our homepage. The name of the Moment is Jiaozi snow mountain.) Day 3: Guandu Village. Travel to see culture through the buildings. There are many restaurants at the walking street market. Stop for coffee, take pictures, and then prepare to fly back to Bangkok. (You can read more on our homepage. Total expenses Round-trip airfare: 6,150 baht Hotel fee divided by 6 people: 586 baht Jiaozi Snow Mountain Tour: 1,200 baht Food and beverage expenses per person: 2,000 baht ✅ Total 9,936 baht ⏰Additional hotel: We stayed in a large private room, 120 square meters, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and washing machine. The accommodation is called Jiyu Orchid Pavilion · Meisu, booked with Trip. If you want to book here, I recommend you go only in winter because it is not air-conditioned. But the owner of the room is kind and lovely, very helpful. 🍔 You will see that we eat dinner at the street food near the room every day. 📍Trip Overview When my friends and I wanted to see snow, we bought a tour with Trip.com because we wanted to travel conveniently. The price was good. After buying, we looked for information and were ready. We traveled in December on 26.12.24. The snow was not completely white yet. I recommend coming in February. For the journey, we had to take a bus out of the city for almost 3 hours (150 kilometers). We reached the first station at around 10 a.m. When we arrived, we had to take the cable car to the first station and then take another bus. When we arrived at this station, there was a shop selling food, such as sausages and instant noodles. If you are hungry, you can eat first, but you have to make time. I recommend eating since morning to be full because after this, we will take the cable car again and have to walk up!!! Yes, we had to walk up almost 4 kilometers. We reached the point of about 4,000 meters and had to stop and buy a ticket to go down because there was not enough oxygen in the can, no drinking water, and it was very cold and windy up there. The cold started to bite our faces (the scarf was wool and could not protect us from the wind). There was quite a bit of snow that we wanted to see because it did not snow during that time. It is scattered at high altitudes, but the weather is very cold. The walk up is very tiring. You have to prepare yourself well. Walk slowly because the thin air makes you tired easily. The walk up took almost half a day, but in any case, you got the picture you wanted. In the end, it was tiring but satisfying. For altitude sickness, my friend and I took Chinese herbs 10 days before the trip, so we had no symptoms. We traveled with peace of mind. Today, I would like to tell you about my visit to Jiaozi Snow Mountain in China in December for those who are interested. At first, when Christmas came, we wanted to fly to celebrate Christmas nearby. It would take a short flight, the ticket price was not expensive, and it was not far from Thailand. So, the lottery came out in "Kunming". While searching for tourist attractions, I came across "Jiaozi Snow Mountain" 🏔️ It was not far by car, no need to cross the city to Lijiang to see the snow. After getting the information, we searched for a tour from Trip.com. It was a one-day tour for 1,200+ Thai baht, which is considered a very good price. What does the tour include? 🚌 Round-trip bus fare from Kunming, boarding at Nanyao Gate 1 and Bus up and down the mountain 💳 Entrance fee 🚡 Round-trip cable car fare from Xinshan Pass + cable car to and back at Xiapingzi 🍔 Meals are not included, but can be found on the mountain Since the tour is entirely in Chinese And in contacting the meeting point to inform (usually 1 day before the trip), we didn't have a Chinese SIM card that could make calls, receive calls or send SMS, so we contacted Trip.com to help coordinate communication, which was very nice. The staff coordinated until we got the Wechat of the Chinese Agency, so they could contact us via Wechat. Okay, I survived and finally got to travel as I wished.
