We stayed in Libo Ancient Town! We drove to the east gate at 8am and parked there. After entering the scenic area, we took a bus to Daqikong and transferred to another bus directly to the west gate. This is because the east gate tourist route is all uphill, while the west gate route is downhill, making it much less strenuous. From the west gate, shuttle buses are available at every attraction, so there's no need to walk. Take my advice: don't walk! There's nothing else to see between the attractions, not even a walking path. This scenic area saves time and effort! As you descend, you'll find each attraction incredibly beautiful, perfect for taking photos. We visited on April 17 during the dry season, so the water volume wasn't high, and the waterfalls were average. Daqikong is currently undergoing plank road repairs, so you can only take a boat there and back for ¥40. Only Changsheng Bridge is worth seeing. Yaofeng Cave is also closed. Overall, Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is well-equipped, and the tourist route is thoughtfully designed. Even seniors won't have any physical challenges. Day 2 Went out at 6:30, got on the sightseeing bus around 7, and queued for about five minutes. The first stop is Huangguoshu Waterfall. Go down and take the escalator up... The water curtain hole is not open. Put on your raincoat and go to see the largest waterfall in Asia. It takes a long time for more than an hour. The second stop was Doupotang Waterfall. It felt so-so anyway. Just follow the flow of people and it took about an hour. The Tianxing Bridge guide for the third stop said that you can only walk the second half of the way, but I didn’t expect that it took almost half an hour from getting off the bus to the entrance of the second half of the way. I kept questioning whether I went the wrong way...but I have to say that the last waterfall is It’s really beautiful! It took about 1.5 hours in total. It was almost one o'clock when we left the scenic spot. I ate a burger and went back to the hotel to sleep for three hours. Of course, the main attraction in Libo is the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. When you see the Xiaoqikong Bridge built in the 15th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1835) (8th picture), there is a sudden sense of loss. The Xiaoqikong that you have been longing for is right in front of you, but you do not experience the artistic conception of 'walking by the stream, the sky is at the bottom of the clear stream, there are clouds in the sky, and people are in the clouds.' The child liked the Water Forest the most. The whole journey is unforgettable. Accommodation: Green Field Inn (near the east gate of Xiaoqikong, within walking distance to the scenic gate) is not bad, but the food nearby is average. There is a very delicious Zunyi mutton noodle shop in Libo County, highly recommended. Sky Eye Science Base (Pingtang): Recommended for those who want to cultivate children's curiosity about science, otherwise not recommended. There are many people, long queues, and multiple transfers. Along the way, there is a Sky Bridge service area and scenic spot, which is free and worth seeing, very spectacular. Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village: Qianhu is really successful, very popular, just to experience it. Especially the song and dance at the central square, it is absolutely wonderful! The Miao Folk Museum in Qianhu is a must-see to understand the complete Miao culture. We prefer another Miao village - Langde Upper Village, quiet, primitive, and simple. A small stream runs through the village, and the children had a great time playing in the river. Accommodation: A homestay in Langde Upper Village. The food in the village is authentic farmhouse cuisine.

In Libo, we stayed for two days. Our family has a habit of booking chain hotels, believing that the service is more guaranteed. We have tried homestays before, with mixed results, and found them to be somewhat unstable. This time, based on reviews and with some trepidation, we chose a homestay in Libo Ancient Town. 🌙 Comfortable Stay This homestay is located in Libo Ancient Town, quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. It's not large, but it's cozy and clean. The owner is enthusiastic but maintains a comfortable distance. After inquiring, the recommended dining places and fruit markets were spot on. They provide laundry facilities and disinfectant. You can do your own laundry, and drying is convenient. The stairs and floors are almost spotless. Small items and amenities are thoughtfully provided. 🌶️ Delicious Food We ate at a local restaurant in the ancient town for two consecutive days. The food was quite to our taste. Apart from the particularly delicious toothpick beef, there was nothing especially noteworthy. However, the whole restaurant was filled with a strong, unpleasant shrimp paste smell, which was not very pleasant. It's worth mentioning the owner lady~ she is very versatile. She can be the hostess, waitress, food runner, and cashier... this flexible 'brick' is always on the move, always with a smile welded to her face. For such a large restaurant, she manages everything inside and out, top to bottom, which is quite impressive. Later, after I placed my order, I remembered that I could buy a voucher. The owner lady didn't leave any regrets, opened the freezer, and let the kids choose a drink. It seems that the 4.8 rating given by thousands of people is well deserved. 🍉 Abundant Fruits When we go to a place, besides eating, we buy fruits. The fruit street recommended by the homestay owner is of good quality and reasonably priced, a place where locals shop. The variety of fruits is rich, and many small fruit shops have their own refrigeration. It's very convenient to buy fresh fruits. Delicious small yellow pears and half-red plums are 6 yuan per jin, and the popular yellow-skinned fruit is also very fresh. The kids liked it, but we didn't quite enjoy it. The best part is that you can taste any fruit before buying, which is very friendly and makes it less likely to buy something that doesn't taste good. Overall, the facilities in Libo are quite good.
