Address ~ Estr. do Lumiar 10, 1600-495 Lisboa, Portugal
A museum of theater and dance completed in 1977, the palace in which it is located is an 18th-century Joanine palace, known as Paço do Lumiar. After years of abandonment and a fire in the 20th century, only the exterior walls survived. New interiors and renovations were carried out to accommodate the museum.
The museum feels like a collection of objects about theater and dance, showcasing many items and costumes used in famous performances to models of Portuguese theaters.
The outdoor large prop dolls are great to photograph, and if they were Portuguese, they might have more interest and meaning! However, coupled with the walking garden and costume museum, there is no reason not to visit it. If you study in the stage department, students in the fine arts department must go, because there are relatively few exhibitions of the same type in Asia.
