Yeongdo, National Maritime Museum
Hello :) I'm Geoje Dandy.
Isn't it warm these days even though it's winter? The weather is nice, so I went to see the National Maritime Museum in Yeongdo, Busan with my family!
I think it was 3 years ago? I think I came here once with my friends, but it's different now than when I came? I found out that it was renovated and reopened in September after 11 years. (I like it!)
The National Maritime Museum has a total of 4 floors and even a sky garden on the rooftop.
The 1st floor marine library, the 2nd floor children's museum, and the special exhibition hall caught my eye, and on the 3rd floor, the aquarium, permanent exhibition hall 1, media exhibition hall, and on the 4th floor, the 4D theater and permanent exhibition hall 2 caught my eye.
The last time we came, we saw the aquarium and media exhibition hall a lot, so this time, we looked closely at the two permanent exhibition halls that were renovated!
The tour time is said to be about 1 hour, but since we looked around and took pictures with the kids, it took us a little over 2 hours because there was so much to see.
The 3rd floor permanent exhibition hall had exhibitions themed on "Our Sea in Records" and "The Sea in Our Lives."
You can actually see the Joseon Tongsinsa Ship. Isn't it amazing?
It was so exciting to imagine that people actually went back and forth between Japan and our country on that ship in the past...!
I hope you all come and learn about the 5,000-year history of our seas. It's also good for children's education!
The 4th floor permanent exhibition hall had ships from various countries. There was even a "turtle ship"!!
The 4th floor had exhibitions related to our country's navigation from the past to the present, such as tools and production,
and also covered the topics of sailing to various countries and even cultural exchanges!
I used to think of things like sailing, the sea, and ships as simple things, but as I looked around the exhibition, I realized that these things gradually gathered and developed and contributed to the development of human civilization and exchanges, and I felt a sense of pride in myself.
These days, due to the abnormal climate... It's winter, but the weather is really warm (I don't know if it's a good thing...) Go to the National Maritime Museum in Yeongdo, which has been renovated, with your family!!!!
I highly recommend it!!
