Qinglong Pagoda and Qinglong Temple are located in Baihe Qinglong Village, which used to be Qinglong Town. Qinglong Town was a foreign trade port in the Tang and Song Dynasties. It was a very lively and prosperous town, known as "Little Hangzhou". In the late Southern Song Dynasty, the Qinglong River was blocked, and the town also declined, leaving only the Qinglong Pagoda. With a residual height of more than 30 meters, it is the original in the Song Dynasty, which can be used as a witness to historical changes, and the current Qinglong Temple is newly renovated. Qinglong Temple was built in the second year of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty (743), it is a thousand-year-old temple. It was originally named Baode Temple and was renamed Longfu Temple in Song Dynasty. At that time, the buildings were majestic and large in scale. There were more than 5,000 houses in the monastery. The sound of bells and drums was incessant, and the sound of Buddhist chants reached the peak. Qinglong Ancient Temple suffered from war and was once burned into ruins. In AD 1834 (the tenth year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty), the ancient temple was rebuilt, and then it was hit by a military disaster, and the building of the temple was destroyed. Only two inscriptions remained: "The Inscription of Reviving Qinglong Longfu Temple" and "The Inscription of Reconstruction of the Hall of Jiyun Temple" ". After the reconstruction of the current Qinglong Temple, Xiongbao Hall, Guanyin Hall, and Earth Store Hall were successively completed. Qinglong Pagoda was built beside Qinglong Temple, formerly known as Longfu Temple Pagoda, also known as Qinglong Wild Goose Pagoda. It is an ancient pagoda with a long history in Shanghai. The Qinglong Pagoda was originally a seven-level and eight-sided, brick-wood structure and pavilion-style. This tower was towering in the past, and it was a navigation symbol for ships sailing to Qinglong Port. After the pagoda was repaired in 1648, it has not been overhauled for more than 300 years, so that the waist eaves, flat seats, outer eaves, bucket arches, fangs, etc., have been falling off, and the heart of the tower has also fallen. The direction is inclined by about 3°, and it was straightened up in 1992 by using special technology. In 1956, the typhoon blew down the Tasha, and the treasure bottle on the brake fell down. The treasure bottle was cast in the shape of a red copper gourd with the words "Ming in March of the 17th year of Ming Dynasty" on it. It is now collected in Qingpu District. Inside the museum.
