#SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The largest underwater world in Southeast Asia
Speaking of the Siam Ocean World (also known as the Underwater World), it's not simple. Although it was built in 2005, it still maintains the reputation of being the first aquarium in Southeast Asia. It covers an area of 10,000 square meters, which is as big as two football fields. More than 30,000 marine creatures live here. You can greet various sharks up close, and you can also be stunned in front of the penguins standing in line. If you bring children, it will be even more fun. There are many interactive sessions and some knowledge points about animals inside. What's the saying? Learn while playing! The premise is that English must be good, otherwise you will have to guess . The aquarium is located underground in the Paragon Mall in Bangkok, which is very easy to find. The opening hours are from ten o'clock in the morning to eight o'clock in the evening. It takes more than two hours to go around. Try to avoid going on weekends. The locals in Bangkok + the locals in Thailand + travelers from various countries = so many people! Fortunately, I bought the e-ticket online in advance, otherwise I would have collapsed just in the queue to buy tickets.

Under The Sea In Bangkok City
Sealife Bangkok is one of the "must see" places in the city. It has a huge aquarium, you can ride in the glass boat and diving too. It costs $35 per person including the Madame Teussad admission. It is located in Siam Paragon, the place is quite big so you have to be there earlier if you are a first timer. We had so much fun watching the sea creatures and also the divers. I loved it here and it was all worth the money and the time.

Shopping - Merchandise available for purchase at the end of the aquarium

As an avid aquarium visitor whenever I travel, I have to say despite being a small sized aquarium, they definitely do not lack the variety. I loved how they could fit in such a wide variety of marine animals, even to reptiles!
On the other hand, the entrance ticket is on the costlier side (considering the fact that the aquarium is not massive) but it is probably due to the combination of attraction with Madame Tussauds.
If you love marine animals and the ocean, do not miss Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World! 😍

A little pricey even for Thailand but after researching some videos online, we knew we had to take the kids. This place is pretty massive. All the marine life you would ever want and more. The best part was the the little boat our inside of the shark tanks. We also loved the tropical rainforest area. Hundreds of different species to view. The different exhibits were all strategically placed so it was easily accessible. We spent the whole day there and our kids had so much fun.

SEA LIFE Bangkok: Dive into Wonder
#songkran2024
Visiting SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World was like diving into a mesmerizing underwater wonderland. From the moment I stepped into the aquarium, I was surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors and a symphony of marine life.
As I wandered through the various exhibits, each one more captivating than the last, I was transported to different aquatic habitats – from the vibrant coral reefs of the tropics to the mysterious depths of the ocean floor. It was a journey of discovery, as I marveled at the beauty and diversity of the underwater world.
One of the highlights of my experience was walking through the underwater tunnel, where sharks, rays, and giant turtles glided gracefully overhead. It was a breathtaking sight, made even more thrilling by the feeling of being completely immersed in their world.
But the wonder didn't stop there. I was also treated to interactive experiences, such as feeding colorful fish and touching gentle sea creatures in the interactive touch pool. It was a hands-on opportunity to learn about marine conservation and the importance of protecting our oceans for future generations.
As I emerged from SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, I carried with me not only memories of incredible marine encounters but also a renewed sense of appreciation for the beauty and fragility of our oceans. It was an experience that left me inspired to do my part in preserving and protecting the underwater world for generations to come.
#thailandtrip Mesmerizing memories.
This is the first Sea Life I‘ve been to and I loved every moment of it. We spent almost two hours in here and it was exciting every single minute. We went on a Sunday and it was crowded. But not too crowded. It seems like they regulate the amount of people entering the place every hour.
The highlight was of course the shark tunnel. But I also loved the penguins and different sea horses.
Staff is very engaged and committed. Super friendly. The atmosphere is super positive. Lots of children there and they all had a fantastic time.

Siam Ocean World: A must-visit for families with children, this is a very humane and immersive aquarium
Siam Ocean World may not be particularly large, but it houses a vast array of marine animals, including hundreds of species such as sharks, turtles, rays, sea dragons, jellyfish, and other rare creatures.
Siam Ocean World features several exhibition areas, including a children's area, the Thunderbird Coral Reef area, the Tropical Rainforest area, and the Precious Marine Life area. Visitors can learn about different aspects and ecological environments of marine life through these diverse exhibits.
1⃣️ Full immersion score 💯
The large billboard at the entrance is very immersive. In an instant, it feels like plunging into the deep sea! The dazzling aquariums are exceptionally beautiful. As the design capital, Bangkok's aquarium decorations are truly worth seeing, full of design sense.
2⃣️ The Arctic exhibition area is uniquely characteristic
Walking here, one can truly feel a bone-chilling coolness! Moreover, there is a 🎥 movie about polar bears, allowing children to feel the warm kinship of polar bears in the cold weather. At the end of the movie, DouDou stood in front of the big screen for a long time, unwilling to leave, presumably still cherishing that deep love!
3⃣️🈶️ Interactive activities
Everyone can participate in interactive activities in the aquarium, such as sea walking, shark diving, etc., which offer a great experience 👍
For example, the feeding show at the aquarium, compared to the large-scale spectacles in China, lacks flashy stunts, but the interaction with the audience after feeding shows a lot of sincerity.
4⃣️ Touch area lets children scratch no more
Siam Ocean World has a touch area where you can physically touch starfish and sea cucumbers. DouDou particularly enjoyed this part, always wanting to touch interesting things since childhood, but not every place can fulfill this wish. Unexpectedly, there is such an area here, allowing for close contact with starfish, just like touching marine life while diving, DouDou was extremely happy!
✏️Tips
1⃣️ Siam Ocean World is located on the basement level of the Siam Paragon mall, enter from the B1 entrance to start a marine journey!
2⃣️ Visiting time: It usually takes 2 hours to explore Siam Ocean World, but if you want to look carefully and slowly, it's hard to say. It is recommended to spend 3~4 hours.

Our tour to Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World was something exciting and one for the books. All the attractions were worth-visiting. There are lots of aquariums with unique marine creatures to drive your interest. Without a doubt, Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World is highly recommended. Most especially to touring families and friends. We came around one o’clock in the afternoon and spent around 4 hours navigating around the marine displays during our tour. This is the suggested time duration if you want to complete all exhibits. Also, make sure to buy the tickets online because it will save you around 30% discount plus it will provide you easy and faster access to the park.
If only I lived in Bangkok, I would visit this place as many times as possible. I can imagine a child visiting this place and growing up to become a marine biologist, an ecologist, or a wildlife conservationist, to be honest.
Bottom line, I think SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is not just a place for bonding, but also a place where adults and children alike can both learn more about the world we live in.
