The queues weren't too bad, as we found out we picked quite a good day for our visit and we were able to enjoy almost all of the attractions we were interested in. Even on a not so busy day, some of the attractions were a bit busy and we were thinking that a fast pass would have been a good idea. but then again, the concept of fast passes is a bit of a wallet burning idea. TRON ride is a unique experience that was something else and we really enjoyed Star Wars hall - the 2 meters high Lord Vader was stealing the show. The Pirates of the Caribbean are also a must, as the visual effects are incredible! My partner and I have been to a few amusement parks and this was one of the better ones - however, you should come prepared, as the prices inside are quite high and English translations are not present everywhere. #mytripvlog #境外遊 #throwback

Stayed at the executive floor at the Disneyland Hotel for one night. The price was -- well, very Disney but it delivered good value. The hotel and room were very clean, and have the sort of Disney theme (as many point out, an art-deco version) that you wish for. Honestly I was a bit skeptical about it but the real thing did not disappoint -- the building and small details were of good quality and very Disney-like. Day 1: Visit Yu garden in the morning while it is nice and quiet, then grab some local street food from one of the many stalls around the area. then take the Bundt sightseeing tunnel to get to the Oriental Pearl tower. There is so much to do in the pearl tower. We chose to get a ticket for two people for about £65 which included the history museum, entrance to the two spheres which has the sightseeing gallery, outdoor observatory, the future Shanghai Multimedia show and the glass bottom walkway aswell as dinner for two at the Coca Cola buffet restaurant which had a really good selection of local and western foods and yummy desserts. Day 2: Shanghai Disneyland is a must do and you will definitely need a whole day there, my advice is that you either purchase an early entry ticket for roughly £20 or stay at one of the Disneyland official hotels which has the benefit of early access included, to make the most of your day. The fireworks are the most impressive Disney fireworks so I definitely suggest staying to watch them at the end. There are some lovely places to eat and drink at Disneytown if you need a break from the park during the day. Day 3: For a more relaxing day I suggest visiting the Chenshan Botanical Gardens. It is stunning and peaceful, a lovely place to go for a picnic. there are waterfalls, rivers and huge greenhouses filled with tropical flowers and plants. Day 4: Zhujiajiao water town is a really unique place to visit that feels really authentic and cultural. there are tons of street food and shops all around you as you navigate your way through narrow alleys. it is free to visit but there are many different attractions there for a small fee. We chose to go into the Kezhi gardens and it was breathtaking. There were many other gardens and temples that you could also visit. Recommendation for hotels- Some of my favourite hotels in Shanghai include: The Disneyland hotel which is an amazing location if you are spending some time at Disney as it is just a short walk across the bridge to get to Disneytown and the Theme park. It is so beautiful and quiet and the staff are always so eager to help and welcome you. There is a swimming pool, a Lion King themed garden walk/maze and various different restaurants, cafes and bars. You get early entry to the park and if you don't want to walk you can either get the water taxi or the shuttle bus. You can also watch the fireworks from the roof of the hotel which is really. magical. if you want to be near the Bundt and Yu Garden then I suggest the Renaissance Yu Garden Hotel, you can get a stunning view of the city from your room and from the rooftop bar, the staff are wonderful and the hotel is gorgeous. The Yuluxe Sheshan a tribute portfolio hotel is perfect if you want to be close to the Botanical Gardens and the Happy Valley Theme Park. There are lots of other parks and attractions around aswell and it is in a much more peaceful area of Shanghai. There is a man made beach, outdoor (seasonal) and indoor pools, a petting zoo and a playpark for children. [Tips] If you aren't planning to hire a car i suggest setting up a Didi account to get taxis, they are incredibly reasonably priced and it is just so easy to use. I also suggest getting a Chinese Sim and setting up a Wechat account so you can use it to pay for things, very rarely can you use cash.

If the hotel is near Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, you can go directly to the pedestrian street. #cherryblossom25 Breakfast is served in Lumiere's kitchen for Shanghai Disneyland hotel guests. The food choices are Mickey themed and mostly cater to kids. For adults, there are a spread of chinese dimsums and dishes that are welcome addition to the pallette. Mickey and the gang surprised us as we are eating our breakfast in Lumiere's kitchen and performed a couple of dance numbers. #cherryblossom25 While waiting for the shuttlebus, wonders never cease. We spotted beautiful flowers on the gardens in the vicinity of the waiting area just near Mickey and Minnie's statues. We are mesmerized with the flowers until we see something peculiar and amazing. Some purple flowers have Mickey mouse shapes on their petals! We have never seen this before and was quite amazed that this is even possible! Truly a sight to behold.#shanghai #shanghaidisneylandhotel #mickeymousepetals

#cherryblossom25 After checking in, we proceed to our room and was wowed by the sight. We were welcomed by generous gifts which our children really enjoyed. Since both of them are girls, we were given Minnie Mouse themed gifts. The main event of course are the beds we will rest in after an eventful journey to the happiest place on Earth. The bed themselves are huge to fit our family and upon pushing a secret switch, magic happens on the head boards where our girls were wowed by the spectacle. However, the experience is not complete until you stay on a Disney Hotel and by far, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel is the most magical among them all. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly staff and by an enchanting lobby filled with memorable Disney sculptures, magnificent architectures and awesome paintings. On the otherside, we were wowed by the lagoon and the massive greeneries which on its own is an attraction itself. #shanghaidisneyhotel #shanghai #magic
