It was a winter trip to Gifu, Japan with my partner. Gifu in winter is a magical escape filled with stunning scenery and cultural treasures 😍 We started our journey in Takayama, a charming city surrounded by the Japanese Alps. The preserved Sanmachi Suji district was a highlight, with its traditional wooden 🪵 buildings, sake breweries, and shops. Walking through the snow-covered streets felt like stepping back in time. The ambiance was perfect for photography, especially with the warm glow of lanterns at dusk. Yunoshimakan Hotel is located in Gero City, Gifu Prefecture. It is an old 5-star hotel. This hotel was also once a hotel where the Japanese royal family stayed. The Japanese-style garden is about 1,100 square meters, where the whole family can take a walk and enjoy the scenery. You can also enjoy the scenery while soaking your feet. There is also a toy room on the first basement floor for children to play. The room is very spacious, and you have to go to the restaurant on the first floor to enjoy breakfast and dinner. The hotel provides free shuttle service from the hotel to the train station. The bathhouse is on the second underground floor. No towels are provided. You need to bring towels from the room.
