Shenyang! This hotel has an excellent location, the king of cost performance among five-star hotels!!!
Coming to Shenyang was the right decision, and choosing the Swiss Hotel was the wisest decision among the right ones.
The hotel's location is really superb, in the center of Shenyang city, next to the Color TV Tower, with Metro Line 2 right downstairs, making it very convenient to go anywhere. Almost the entire trip was by subway, low-carbon and environmentally friendly. Visited the Forbidden City, Zhang Xueliang's former residence, took beautiful photos at the Xiaonan Catholic Church, strolled along Zhongjie Street, snacked and shopped at Toutiao Hutong, checked out the beautiful scenery of Shenyang Hunhe Bund, felt the lively atmosphere of the Color Tower Night Market, toured the Liaoning Museum, and visited MixC and K11... Finally, left this beautiful city from Shenyang North Station, all by subway.
Of course, there is one stop that must be mentioned, I love it so much, that is Xita, which we took a taxi to. It feels like you have to be starving before going to Xita, otherwise, you will regret not being able to eat so much delicious food. Xita Laotaitai BBQ and Skewer Shop, very popular in the south, but Xita is the original store, authentic, with small fish cakes, fried rice cakes, pan-fried rice sausages, spicy chicken feet, beef rice balls... mouth-watering.
All the guest rooms in this hotel were renovated last year, with a light luxury modern style, and the bedding is very comfortable. I originally wanted to buy a set but they don't sell it. The room's view is superb, with a 200-degree field of vision, but I took the photo of the Color TV Tower at the Youth Park downstairs because the reflection on the water is very beautiful.
I have to mention the hotel's breakfast, not particularly large, but it has everything, a fusion of Chinese and Western styles. It is said that there are themed special foods every month, such as Southeast Asian, Mediterranean, German-Italian, and I caught the Northeast special, simple and delicious.
There is a Paulaner Bräuhaus on the first floor of the hotel. I have been to the stores in Beijing and Singapore before, and compared to those, this one is more friendly, possibly because it is in a second-tier city, making it more cost-effective. Unfortunately, I can't drink alcohol, but it is said that the freshly brewed beer is a specialty here. I tried the traditional German food, pork knuckle, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a special beer sauce, it has a unique flavor. German cuisine goes well with Northeast cuisine, large portions, couldn't finish it.
In short, Shenyang is worth visiting, and Shenyang Swiss Hotel is worth staying at!
