After buying tickets for the Taipei 101 Observatory, you have to queue up at the other end to take the elevator. It was my first time there, and I thought the people waiting in line for the elevator were there to buy tickets. There were no clear signs, so I wasted more than 20 minutes queuing up at the other end to buy tickets. In addition, although tickets are divided into different viewing time periods, the tour group arrived more than 20 minutes later than me and were able to buy tickets in the time period ahead of me and jump the queue to enter. There is really room for improvement. (There is no time division abroad, the flow of traffic is clear, and the service is more friendly)

Taipei 101 is the ultimate landmark of the city and is famous all around the world for its annual New Year firework display. It also has an amazing viewing area at the top, along with one of the fastest elevators in the world! You can buy tickets online or at the 4th floor lobby then head to the lifts to rocket to the top! The viewing floor offers 360 degree views of the city and allows you to explore with your eyes instead of your feet. Highlights are elephant mountain, downtown districts, Songshan airport and the many bridges and highways that snake in the city. You can also view the amazing mass dampener and learn how it helps the building stay stable during earthquakes and typhoons. Super interesting! There’s a cafe, photo area and of course a gift shop! Worth taking a look as the prices are very reasonable. As with all viewing areas it gets busy!
