The Petruzzelli Theater in Bari is a magnificent architectural structure reminiscent of the Paris Opera House. The interior is adorned with gold leaf, making it truly luxurious in design. According to the guide, a fire in 1991 destroyed the entire theater except for this lobby area. It's fortunate that this space survived the fire and remains for us to see today.

I didn't expect to find such a magnificent theater in Bari, Italy, during my April travels. However, seeing the grand and ornate building piqued my curiosity about its history. I considered attending a concert, but unfortunately, the timing didn't work out. While browsing the website, I discovered that they offer theater tours. So, I arrived in the morning, purchased a ticket at the box office, and joined the tour. I highly recommend visiting the Bari Theater, as its interior is even more impressive than its exterior.
