Tegenungan Waterfall is located in Tegenungan Village, about 10 kilometers southeast of Ubud City. The waterfall is named after the village! The road before entering the village is lined with green trees on both sides, and I really didn't expect there to be a waterfall. When you arrive at the entrance, you will first pass through the shopping street and pay to enter the village. There are some shops selling handicrafts on both sides of the village, and then walk along the stone steps for about ten minutes to reach the river valley. The scenery along the way is magnificent, overlooking the green valley centered on the Tegenungan Waterfall. It is like a landscape painting of a waterfall surrounded by green forests and mountains, which is impressive and beautiful. #AdventurousTraveler #Bali

Tegalalang rice terrace and Tegenungan waterfall are really a must see attraction when in Ubud. Both were great places for beautiful, breathtaking instagrammable photos! Just keep in mind that there are plenty of stairs to climb up/down. Well, no pain no gain. Gotta work off all the extra calories from the yummy Balinese cuisines too!

CONS - Very touristy site - water is not pristine because of high traffic

Tegenungan waterfall is one of the most frequently visited waterfall attractions in Bali. It’s a little bit off the beaten track so we hired a driver to transport us there for greater convenience. Although there was only one waterfall there, it was very majestic. We had to walk down quite a long flight of stairs to get to the base. Getting There -The best way to get here is probably by renting a motorbike or hiring a driver. One of the best waterfall spots in Bali is the Tegenungan Waterfall amidst the Balinese jungle. The force of the waterfall makes it look incredibly majestic. When the weather is good, people are allowed to swim at the base of the waterfall. There are also lots of places to take nice photos. Toilets are also available. There are about 150+ stairs to climb down to the falls, so do take note if you’re traveling with young children or elderly. Do come early too, as this is a very popular tourist spot. Tegenungan Waterfall is one of the famous waterfall in Bali. It is near the Ubud. If you want to escape the heat and cool off, this place is a paradise for you. To come here, you go down the stairs with the east, don't forget to take a nice photo at the photo spot on the way. If you want to avoid the crowds, I suggest you come to the bar in the morning so you can enjoy it better. I used a motorcycle on the way here, it took about 25 minutes to get here from the center of ubud.
