The traditional music flowing through the streets, the red lanterns, and the delicious street food were all like a painting. I especially remember making a seal with my name engraved on it at a handicraft shop. The murals and old buildings that lead through the narrow alleys were in harmony, so it was great for taking pictures, and I was full of emotions the whole time I was walking. The road leading to Xichahai Lake was also quiet and charming, so it was great for a walk alone. #AprilTravelSupport As I walked along the narrow and cute alleys, I felt like I was in ancient China. There were traditional tea houses and handicraft souvenir shops lined up, and occasionally I saw tourists wearing traditional Chinese clothing, which added to the atmosphere. There were many photo zones that were great for taking pictures, so I got a few great shots. As the name suggests, there were unique pipe-shaped decorations here and there, which was fun to look at, and the atmosphere came alive even more when the lights came on around sunset. The walking path leading to Huhai Lake was quiet and romantic, and I think it would be great for couples. #AprilTravelSupportThe quiet atmosphere between the narrow alleys. It felt like I was on a time machine for a moment in the heart of Beijing. Yandai Xiejie, also known as Yantai Intersection, is an old street that used to be lined with tobacco shops. Now, it is a colorful mix of traditional tea houses, antique shops, and street snacks, so it was a feast for the eyes the whole time I was walking. On one side, there are pretty lantern lights hanging down, and on the other side, there are elaborate crafts displayed like works of art. As I walked, I suddenly reached Huhai Lake, so it was really great for a walk with a lover. I visited around sunset, and the atmosphere created by the sunset and the lights was really romantic. If you want to feel tradition and leisure at the same time in the bustling Beijing, you should definitely visit Yandai Town. It is a small but deeply charming place. #April Travel Support Fund Yantai Shijia Street is a traditional commercial street located in Xicheng District, Beijing. In the past, it was called “Tobacco Alley” because it was filled with tobacco shops. Currently, the old-fashioned buildings remain, allowing you to feel the traditional atmosphere, and there are many shops selling various handicrafts and Chinese teas.  This street is close to Shichahai, so it is a good place to enjoy shopping, dining, and sightseeing. In particular, there are various merchants on both sides of the street, such as paper craftsmen, cotton candy merchants, clay sculptors, and snack sellers, allowing you to feel the unique charm of ancient Beijing.   The total length of Yantai Shijia Street is about 232 meters, and it has a unique street shape because it is diagonal. This diagonal street form is directly related to the transportation of goods by Tonghui and Zhao Yun during the Yuan Dynasty, and the prosperity of Yantai Shijia Street began from Guru Xida.  Yandaesa Temple is conveniently located, a 2-minute walk from Exit A2 of Shichahai Station on Subway Line 8.  When visiting Yandaesa Temple, it is recommended to also visit Shichahai, which is full of classical architecture and gardens. Shichahai was designated as a “historical and cultural scenic area” by the Beijing Municipal Government in 1992, and is full of classical architecture and gardens. 

#April Travel Support Fund Yantai Xiejie Street, a hidden alley in Beijing While walking along Yantai Xiejie Street, I felt like I was time traveling. Traditional Chinese buildings line both sides of the narrow and long alley, and each store is decorated with unique signs and props, so it was fun to look at each one. There were various places, from tea houses where you can have a cup of tea, to antique stationery stores, and incense shops. The street itself is short, but there are small streets connecting the alleys, so if you walk slowly, hours will pass by in no time. Unlike the busy main streets, this place had a really nice, slow and quiet atmosphere, and there were benches here and there where you could sit and rest, so it was perfect for walking alone or with someone else. • Location📍: Yantai Xiejie Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, China Recommended points: Quiet alley sensibility, traditional architectural beauty, unique stores, quiet walking course
