We stayed in Dunhuang for two and a half days. Dunhuang is not a big place, so four days was enough. On the first and second days, we went to Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake. According to the Dunhuang posthumous writings in Paris, the Xiqian Buddha Cave should be cut earlier than the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, and at the same time in the Mogao Grottoes at the latest. There is only one sandstone mountain in the Mogao Grottoes, and there are 16 caves. Most of them were excavated in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and their historical and cultural values are very high.
