It was an excellent choice with great value for money, comfortable facilities, and friendly staff. If I visit Shaoxing again, I will definitely stay here again. I booked Little Forest Hostel 小森林环保旅舍 through Trip.com, and the price for a bed in a 6-person female dormitory was 14,500 KRW per night. However, I used my saved Trip Coins to pay, so I stayed for free, which made me very happy. Despite the low price, the facilities exceeded my expectations. In fact, they were much better than some European hostels where I paid 60-80 euros per night for a 12-person dormitory. I was assigned a lower bunk in the 6-person female dormitory, and on the day I stayed, there were only three guests in total, making it relatively quiet and comfortable. Each room is equipped with a bathroom, shower, personal lockers, and indoor slippers. Additionally, on the second-floor hallway, there is a locker with free amenities available for use. The price is incredibly affordable, and they even provide Chinese-style soy milk (豆浆) and bread for breakfast! With such services and facilities at a price of around 10,000 KRW, the value for money is unbelievable. Moreover, the first floor of the hostel is a bookstore, giving off a literary vibe. Although I didn’t read any books, I felt smarter just being there. On the second and third floors, you can look out the windows to see lush green trees, which is truly relaxing. It made me realize why this hostel is named "Little Forest." If I visit Shaoxing again, I will definitely stay at this hostel. Travel by high-speed train 🚅 for 30 minutes from Shanghai. But I think it's very good. Walking in the city, city walk along the river is already beautiful. But there is also a hidden ancient city along the river, far from the city center called Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town. This place has not been open for long, but I must say it is big and very beautiful. Personally, Chinese people tell me that it is more beautiful than Wuzhen (I have never been to Wuzhen). Scenic Spots in China • Zheng's House In Chinese history, there was a family that lasted for more than 350 years, spanning the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties. Fifteen generations lived together, shared the same wealth and food. At its peak, the family had more than 3,000 people. Zhu Yuanzhang named it "the No. 1 Family in Jiangnan." This is the Zheng family of Pujiang, Zhejiang, also known as the "Zheng Yimen." The Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall is the core of the building complex. It was first built during the Jianyan period of the Southern Song Dynasty, expanded in the early Yuan Dynasty, and renovated in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The ancestral hall is divided into five courtyards, namely Shijian Hall, Heyi Hall, Youxu Hall, Worship Hall, and Bedroom. Shaoxing is a popular day trip destination in the Zhejiang province, as you can get there in as fast as 15min on the high-speed train from Hangzhou/ Suzhou. And apart from being the old residence of Luxun, the legendary Chinese novelist, and the origin of Shaoxing yellow wine, they have a beautiful old town named Anchang Ancient Town, which is a thousand-year-old town featured recently on CCTV.
