Afternoon 2:00 PM–4:00 PM: Climb Tiannv Peak to overlook the mountains and view the Bohai Sea in the distance. 🌟Must-visit highlights 1. Tiannv Peak⛰️ The highest peak in Qinhuangdao, 1,428 meters above sea level. After reaching the summit, you can see all the mountains below. When the weather is clear, you can even see the Bohai Sea in the distance. The sunrise over the sea of clouds is the signature view here. It is windy at the summit, so be sure to dress accordingly. 2. Gallery Valley🌊 The essence of the canyon, with strange rocks, babbling streams, and waterfalls everywhere. The wooden boardwalk is built along the canyon, with the sound of streams and dense shade. It is very cool to walk here in summer, offering an excellent hiking experience. 3. Tiannv Magnolia🌸 A rare alpine flower unique to Zushan. From mid-to-late June every year, the white Tiannv Magnolia blooms in the high mountain forests, with a delicate fragrance—a unique mountain romance. 4. Wanghai Zen Temple🏯 An ancient temple nestled in the embrace of the mountains. The ancient architecture is tranquil, and the incense is quiet. A great place to rest and feel the Zen of the mountains and forests. 5. Strange rock formations🪨 The mountains are full of natural, strange rocks. Rocks shaped like a "Heavenly Dog Gazing at the Moon" or "Bajie Sunning His Belly" are vivid and lifelike, showcasing the uncanny workmanship of nature. 📸Outfit guide for great photos ✅Light-colored, earthy-toned casual outdoor wear fits the green mountains and forests, making for fresh photos. ✅Non-slip sports shoes/hiking shoes! There are many mountain steps; do not wear flip-flops or high heels. ✅Accessories: Hat, thin jacket; the temperature at the summit is low and it is windy. ❌Avoid overly bright or flashy clothes, which clash with the mountain environment. 🗺️Energy-saving itinerary Easy 1-day route (recommended) Enter via East Gate → Take sightseeing bus to Gallery Valley → Hike the canyon boardwalk, see streams, waterfalls, and strange rocks → Take cable car to the foot of Tiannv Peak → Climb to the summit of Tiannv Peak to overlook the mountains and sea → Short stop at Wanghai Zen Temple → Return to East Gate by sightseeing bus. 2-day sunrise route Day 1: Arrive at the scenic area, visit Gallery Valley, stay at a mountain guesthouse; Day 2: Wake up early to climb Tiannv Peak for the sunrise and sea of clouds, then head down the mountain in the afternoon. 💡Practical tips to avoid pitfalls 1. The temperature at the summit is 5–8℃ lower than at the foot of the mountain❗ Even in midsummer, be sure to bring a thick jacket; it is very windy at the summit. 2. There are many steps on the mountain paths; wear non-slip hiking shoes. The elderly and children should act according to their ability and not force themselves to reach the summit. 3. To see the sunrise over the sea of clouds, check the weather. It is most likely to happen on mornings after rain; do not wake up early blindly. 4. There are few dining options in the scenic area and prices are high; you can bring your own food and water. 5. The blooming period of the Tiannv Magnolia is very short; check the blooming time for the current year before you go. 6. Mobile signal in the mountainous area is weak in some places; download offline maps in advance. 7. Protect the forest; do not pick flowers or plants, and open flames are prohibited.

Zushan: A Severely Underestimated 'Ancestor of the Yanshan Mountains' My four-day trip to Qinhuangdao involved three days of sea views – the waves at Le Island, the sea at Seeking Immortals at Sea, and the sea cable car at Xianluo Island. On the last day, I decided to head inland to the mountains, driving towards Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County in northwestern Qinhuangdao, straight to Zushan, known as the 'Ancestor of Mountains'. I arrived at the scenic area's East Gate at 8:30 AM. The entrance ticket was 80 yuan, plus 120 yuan for a round-trip cable car, making it a 'petite bourgeoisie' pass for one person. As a national 4A-level scenic area and national geological park, Zushan has a planned total area of 118 square kilometers. Its highest peak, Tiannv Peak, stands at an altitude of 1428 meters, with a forest coverage rate of up to 96%. Just looking at the towering peaks and flowing clouds outside the car window, my 'city life' thoughts instantly vanished. I'm typically the type who 'walks wherever the car stops,' so my first stop was Gallery Valley – the canyon gallery, stretching over 10 li, truly lives up to its name. The mountains on both sides are steep, with strangely shaped rocks, making it feel like walking through a landscape painting. I took a short break at the Five-Colored Stone and snapped a close-up of the Zushan rock face and wildflowers in the sun, which had a naturally ancient charm. Further up is Zushan's core attraction – Lover's Valley, where unique rocks like Bajie Rock, Longevity Mountain, and Welcoming Pine are scattered, making one constantly marvel at nature's divine craftsmanship. The highlight of that afternoon was ascending Tiannv Peak. After taking the cable car halfway up and then hiking a short distance, I finally stood at an altitude of 1428 meters. From here, you can watch the sunrise in the east, follow the sails in the south, gaze at the Great Wall in the west, and overlook the mountains in the north, with a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire Bohai Bay spread before your eyes. It was early summer, and I was incredibly lucky to encounter large patches of Tiannv Magnolia blooming – this is a rare flower that survived the Ice Age, a nationally rare and endangered plant, and it only blooms on mountains above 1,000 meters. In full bloom, the magnolias are as white as snow, blooming in clusters, and exuding a fragrant aroma. To describe it as magnificent is no exaggeration! It was absolutely worth climbing the mountain just for this. Heading down, I arrived at Jixin Temple. The temple is solemn and majestic, especially the 7.5-meter-tall Thousand-Hand Guanyin statue carved from a single camphor wood log. Its dignified appearance makes it a true treasure of the temple, and any photo taken here looks like an ancient masterpiece. Inside the temple, red walls are shaded by ancient cypresses, and pilgrims can ring the bell for blessings, bringing an instant sense of peace and Zen to the soul. The beauty of Zushan is multifaceted. In spring, it's a sea of flowers; in summer, it's cool and pleasant with swirling clouds; in autumn, 118 square kilometers of red leaves resemble a giant oil painting; and in winter, it's covered in silver, like a wonderland. There's no shortage of scenery in any season. Every June, there are also Tiannv Magnolia Festivals and various Flower Festival and Guochao (National Trend) activities. No reservation is needed; just buy a ticket and enter. It's suitable for all ages. If you bring your own camping gear, the Sky Grassland on the mountaintop is lush green in summer, offering views of cloud seas, sunsets, and stars – truly a paradise for photography enthusiasts. For transportation, it's about an hour's drive from Qinhuangdao city center. Parking is capped at 20 yuan per day. You can also take a bus from Haiyang Road Long-Distance Bus Station to the East Gate. Zushan has significant temperature differences between spring and autumn, so be sure to bring a light jacket and non-slip hiking shoes. There are not many commercial facilities on the mountain, so it's safer to bring your own dry food and water. Practical Tips: · Opening Hours: 08:00—17:00, last entry 15:00—15:30, open all year round · Tickets: Peak season (May—October) 80 yuan, off-peak season (November—April) 40 yuan, half price for students/seniors, free for children under 1.2m · Round-trip cable car ticket: 120 yuan; Full package ticket (entrance + sightseeing bus + round-trip cable car): approximately 165—220 yuan · Transportation: Navigate to "Zushan Scenic Area East Gate" by car, about 50 minutes drive from Qinhuangdao city center; take bus 812 to Tiannv Town Station · Recommended visiting time: For a one-day highlight tour, choose the loop of Gallery Valley + Lover's Valley + Tiannv Peak + Jixin Temple, about 3—5 hours; for an in-depth tour, plan 2—3 days to fully appreciate the surrounding Great Wall and ancient villages · Best season: June for flower viewing, July—August for cloud seas and summer escape, October for red leaves · Items to bring: Comfortable non-slip hiking shoes, jacket, mosquito repellent, sufficient water, and simple food On the way back, what lingered in my mind was the silhouette of the distant mountains against the sunset. If the previous days in Qinhuangdao were a seaside carnival, then Zushan was a silent mountain retreat – it stands quietly in the depths of the Yanshan Mountains, waiting for those destined to discover its cloud seas and rugged charm. And I, in an ordinary summer, merely had a brief reunion with its natural wonders.

It was a slightly overcast morning 🌥 when I went to Zushan. As soon as the car reached the foot of the mountain, the air instantly became fresh— a scent mixed with pine needles and damp earth, incredibly pleasant 🍃 🚡 The cable car slowly ascended, · eaving the city behind. Green spread out like spilled paint, layer upon layer. All I could hear was the gentle hum of the steel cable, while my heart grew quiet, filled only with the sound of the wind. After getting off the cable car, the real climb began ✨ The stone steps were narrow and winding, leading deep into the dense forest. At some point, the mist appeared— first a thin wisp curling around the mountainside, then thickening until it blurred the distant peaks. Wildflowers by the roadside were dotted with dew, purple and white, like little stars 🌸 I couldn’t name them, but they were beautiful. The biggest surprise was encountering the Tiannv Magnolia—just in bloom 🌸 Its white wasn’t pale or dull, but had a jade-like, gentle luster. The petals were thick and slightly curled, · ike the hem of a celestial maiden’s skirt accidentally fallen to earth. Getting close, there was a faint fragrance, so subtle it was almost elusive, yet it crept right into my nose. The higher I climbed, the thicker the fog became. The stone steps were wet, each step feeling like walking on clouds ☁ At a bend, the view suddenly opened up. Though I couldn’t see anything—only the swirling white mist before me— at that moment, I thought: not seeing is actually quite nice. The mountain hides itself, and you can truly listen— to the whisper of the wind through the pines, to the distant birdsong, to your own breath and heartbeat 💚 At the summit, the wind was strong. The fog suddenly split open a crack, revealing the peak opposite. The dark green-black rocks floated and sank in the milky sea of mist, · ike the most expressive brushstroke in an ink painting. Just seconds later, the fog closed again, and everything returned to mystery 🌫 I didn’t wait for the clouds to clear, but I felt no regret. The beauty of Tiannv Peak probably lies in this unexpected, fleeting glimpse 🏔 My legs trembled slightly on the way down, but my heart felt as light as if washed by the mist. Zushan isn’t a mountain to conquer; it’s more like a place to soothe you. After staying in the city too long, your heart hardens and gathers dust. But here— on the damp stone steps, beside the unknown wildflowers, in that moment when the clouds briefly parted— your heart suddenly softens and becomes pure 💖 If you want a quiet place to take a walk, Qinhuangdao Zushan · Tiannv Peak is truly worth it.

🏠 Where to stay: Stay at Qinhuang International Sea View Apartment (Jinmeng Bay Beach Qinhuang Alley Branch) First, secure your accommodation. I recommend staying at Qinhuang International Sea View Apartment (Jinmeng Bay Beach Qinhuang Alley Branch). Why here? The location is perfect—right downstairs is Jinmeng Bay West Beach, just a few steps to splash in the waves and dig in the sand. The best part is that each apartment has a kitchen and refrigerator. You can steam seafood or cook porridge early in the morning and enjoy breakfast with a sea view in your room—so relaxing! 🏖️ Wild Beaches · Hidden from others ⛴️ Baita Ridge Abandoned Pier Walk south along the coast from the apartment, pass the Shandong Fort Overpass, and you’ll find an old abandoned pier. At low tide, black reefs and rusty iron piles appear, creating a moody atmosphere under the gray sky. No tourists, just two or three local fishermen. 🌊 The far west end of Jinwu Beach Navigate to “Jinwu Beach” but don’t stop there—keep walking west until the path ends. This is a beach blocked by trees, with coarse sand, many shells, and big waves. Perfect for lying down all afternoon watching the sea without being disturbed. ⛰️ Wild Mountains · Vague on the map 🪨 Laoling Deep in Qinglong, more primitive than Zushan. No entrance fee, no boardwalk, no water vendors. Just rocky paths and walnut trees all over the mountain. Halfway up, you can see the entire Qinglong valley, and from the summit, a bright line of the Bohai Sea in the distance. Make sure to fill up your gas tank in the county before going. 🐮 Huangniuding At the border of Funing and Qinglong, locals call it “Erdaoliang.” The summit has large meadows blooming with wildflowers in June and July. The trail is made by cattle and sheep, and the last part requires using both hands and feet. From the top, you can see the Great Wall, a reservoir, and terraced fields all at once. 🏡 Abandoned Villages · Where time stands still 🌲 Changyugou A nearly deserted village deep in Jieshi Mountain, Changli. Only a few stone houses remain, with cactus growing on the courtyard walls. There’s a 500-year-old locust tree with a dry stone trough beneath it. So quiet you can hear your own heartbeat. 🌾 Fields · Not the touristy kind 🫏 Yanggoutun A hamlet hidden in the hills of Lulong County. Filled with millet and sunflowers, looking like an oil painting in autumn. No shops or farm stays, just stone paths and earthen walls. Perfect for wandering aimlessly, watching donkey carts and elders weaving baskets at their doorsteps. 💧 Streams · Cool and ticket-free 🦀 Huachangyu West Gully Note: This is not the main Huachangyu Gully mentioned before. From Huachangyu Village, walk two kilometers west to a narrower stream gully. The water is shallow, just ankle-deep, with tiny crabs under the stones. At the end of the gully is a small waterfall; sitting under it, the mist cools you completely. You might meet fewer than five people all day here. --- 🚗 Practical Tips ❣️ None of these places have public transportation; you must drive or hire a car. Some locations don’t show up on navigation apps, so ask locals when nearby. ❣️ Many mountain areas have no signal; download offline maps in advance. ❣️ Bring enough water, snacks, and power banks. Wear non-slip shoes for wild trails and apply sunscreen. The names in this guide are probably ones you’ve never seen in any travel diary. ㊗️ Have a unique trip unlike anyone else’s.

Tianjin Trip's Unexpected Treasure! Surprisingly located in neighboring Shengfang Town, I stumbled upon this free and serene thousand-year-old ancient temple—Da Bei Zen Temple. No noisy crowds of internet-famous spots, just red walls and golden tiles reflecting the clear sky, an open-air white marble Guanyin statue solemn and dignified, and the sound of Buddhist chants gently lingering in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall. Walking slowly along the central axis, the dragon patterns on the stone archway, the statues in the Heavenly Kings Hall, the green trees in the courtyard—every detail exudes Zen spirit. No need to fight for photo spots; calming down even makes the wind gentle. Shengfang Town belongs to Bazhou City, Langfang, Hebei Province, not Tianjin. Many people get confused because it’s very close to Tianjin, with similar accents and lifestyles, so it’s easy to mistake it for Tianjin territory. History of Da Bei Zen Temple: originally built at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty’s Tianshun period, renovated in the Zhengde period, flourished in the Qing Dynasty; later damaged, reconstruction started in 2008, completed and consecrated in October 2010; a cultural boutique building of Bazhou, known as one of the four major Guanyin pilgrimage sites in China. Scale: covers 80,000㎡ (120 acres), building area 28,000㎡, facing south, with both plaza and temple areas, a complete central axis of halls, combining the beauty of northern and southern architecture. Admission: free entry, free parking; no reservation required. Opening hours: Summer 8:00 AM–5:30 PM; Winter 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (On the 1st and 15th of the lunar month and Buddha’s birthday, there are Dharma assemblies; please call ahead to confirm). 🌟 Highlights 1. Central axis complex: Stone archway (exquisite dragon patterns) → Mountain Gate (statues of Heng and Ha generals) → Heavenly Kings Hall (Maitreya, Four Heavenly Kings, Weituo) → Open-air white marble Guanyin statue → Ancient Buddha Hall → Mahavira Hall (main hall) → Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall (the tallest in the temple, housing ten thousand Buddha statues). 2. East and west side halls: Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Medicine Buddha Hall, Amitabha Hall, Kṣitigarbha Hall, Arhat Hall, Abbot’s Hall, and 23 other halls. 3. Four-sided Guanyin, ancient-style Temple of Heaven architecture, red walls and golden tiles perfect for photos; on the 1st and 15th of the lunar month and Guanyin’s birthday, there are blessing ceremonies and life release activities. 🚗 Transportation Tips From Tianjin West Station, take the high-speed train 17 minutes to Shengfang Station, then a 15-minute taxi ride; about 1 hour by car directly, with free parking outside the temple. Combined visit: Da Bei Zen Temple + Shengfang Ancient Town, half a day is just right; can be paired with Tianjin city itinerary for a unique one-day nearby trip.

Avoid the crowds! Escape to the "Jiangnan Sky Road" in Southern Anhui during the Qingming holiday, where opening your window reveals bamboo seas and streams, and you can lie back and watch the stars at this charming guesthouse! ✨ 👋 Hello everyone! The Qingming holiday is just around the corner. Is your heart already restless, eager to escape the city and head to the mountains and countryside? If you're still undecided about where to go for these three days, trust me—just close your eyes and head straight to the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet route! This self-driving route, known as the "Jiangnan Sky Road," is at its best during Qingming, with spring bamboo shoots sprouting, azaleas budding, and streams beginning to swell—it's as beautiful as a living ink painting. 🖼️ At the starting point of this prime route—the Moon Bay Scenic Area—I discovered a treasure guesthouse that will make your trip feel incredibly happy: [Shanye · Pool & Stream Tracing · Vacation Guesthouse]. This article covers both the route guide and accommodation experience, so I highly recommend saving it! 🌟 🚗 [Qingming 3-Day Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Route Self-Driving Guide] Day 1: Departure → Caicun Town, Jing County (Moon Bay) [Stay at Shanye] Set off from home in the morning and navigate directly to Moon Bay Scenic Area. Since road conditions can be complex during the Qingming holiday, it's best to leave early. Upon arrival, check in, drop your luggage in the room, and start your holiday feeling light and relaxed! 🏨 In the afternoon, enjoy watching the water and fishing at Moon Bay! The stream water is still a bit chilly in April, but the crystal-clear glassy water paired with the newly sprouted bamboo sea on both banks makes every photo worthy of a desktop wallpaper. You can also visit Yulin Dam, where the layered water ripples are breathtaking. In the evening, enjoy a local dish of spring bamboo shoots with braised pork at the guesthouse—so fresh it’ll blow your mind! 🎋 Day 2: Moon Bay → Shui Mo Tingxi → Taoling Road (Liudao Bay) → Return to Guesthouse After breakfast, set off along the prime section of the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet route. The first stop is Shui Mo Tingxi, home to 100,000 acres of primeval forest. In April, the mountain air is full of negative oxygen ions, making it a true "lung cleansing journey." 🌳 After a simple lunch, the highlight awaits! Challenge the Taoling Road "Liudao Bay," also known among seasoned drivers as the "72 Turns." This section features steep slopes, sharp bends, and dangerous roads, with cliffs on one side and precipices on the other, but the scenery along the way will definitely thrill you. Be sure to stop at the viewing platform to overlook this winding "sky road"—it's truly spectacular! 🚵‍♂️ In the evening, drive back to the guesthouse with the thrill of driving still fresh. Since the guesthouse is right at the scenic area entrance, there's no need to rush driving at night. You can relax with a drink at the guesthouse’s terrace bar and chat. 🍹 Day 3: Sleep in → Qinglong Bay / Chujia Beach → Return Trip No need to rush on the last day. After enjoying breakfast at the guesthouse, if you still have energy, head a bit east to visit Qinglong Bay or Chujia Beach. In April, Chujia Beach is misty and rainy, resembling a hidden paradise. ⛅ At noon, pick up some local tea or dried bamboo shoots around the guesthouse to bring home the taste of the mountains and countryside, returning fully satisfied! 🧺 🏡 [Why stay here?] Shanye · Pool & Stream Tracing · Vacation Guesthouse Real Experience No matter how well you plan your route, if your accommodation is uncomfortable, it’s all for nothing. I strongly recommend this "Shanye" guesthouse—it truly combines beauty, quality, and convenience! 🌿 Great environment · Truly "mountains outside the window, streams at the door" The guesthouse is located in the heart of Moon Bay Scenic Area, backed by green mountains and with a babbling stream in front. You wake up to birdsong in the morning, and when you open the window, you see endless green bamboo seas and breathe in the sweet fresh air. Being surrounded by nature 360 degrees is incredibly healing! 🌿 Prime location · A blessing for self-driving travelers For those driving the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet route, this location is a golden transfer hub. It’s right inside Moon Bay Scenic Area, making it very convenient whether you want to go bamboo rafting or challenge Taoling Road. After a day of fun, no long drives are needed—just a quick step on the gas pedal and you’re back in your cozy room. Who wouldn’t appreciate that feeling! 🚗💨 ✨ High quality · Comfort is key Don’t think mountain guesthouses have poor conditions—this one shattered my stereotypes! Heated pool: Although it’s still a bit cool in Qingming, they have a heated pool! Snap a poolside photo for your social media and everyone will think you’re on a tropical vacation! 🏊‍♀️ Underfloor heating + smart home: The temperature difference between day and night in the mountains is big, but the rooms have underfloor heating, so your feet stay warm on the floor. The whole house is smart-controlled—you can open curtains or turn on lights just by speaking, full of tech vibes. Full entertainment facilities: Even if it rains outside, you won’t be bored here! Gather friends for karaoke 🎤, play a few rounds in the mahjong room 🀄️, grab a latte and read a book at the coffee bar ☕️, or enjoy a drink at the bar 🥂. Whether it’s a family trip or a friends’ gathering, everyone can find their fun. 💁 Excellent service · Like visiting old friends I have to praise the owner. From helping with luggage at the door to daily thoughtful recommendations for sightseeing routes, and even coordinating ticket bookings, it feels very warm. The auntie’s homemade farmhouse dishes are also a highlight, especially the golden, clear native chicken soup—just thinking about it makes my mouth water. 🅿️ Convenient parking · Worry-free self-driving Anyone who’s driven the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet route knows how hard it is to find good parking. The guesthouse has a large free parking lot with plenty of spaces, which is a real "peace of mind" for self-driving travelers! No more circling narrow roads looking for a spot. 🎉 To sum up: If you want to take a trip along the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet route during the Qingming holiday and are looking for a guesthouse with a great environment, comfortable stay, and fun activities as your base, then [Shanye · Pool & Stream Tracing · Vacation Guesthouse] is definitely worth adding to your collection. This spring, let’s meet in the mountains, and in the breeze of Moon Bay! 💨

The homestay is located in the deepest mountain valley of Qinglongwu, Tonglu. The road is narrow and tests driving skills, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with a stream in front. There is only an infinity pool and bamboo forest, but once you open that unassuming wooden door, inside is a 5,000-square-meter courtyard with only 8 rooms in total. 📍Detailed address Jinglu Lanshan Homestay, Group 2, Shenkeng, Xiekengkou Village, Fuchunjiang Town, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Tonglu. 📝Tips to note The homestay focuses on wild luxury, equipped with Dyson hairdryers, Italian designer lamps, German bathroom fixtures, and the bathwater is mountain spring water brought in. Friends coming here, the highest praise is not for the scenery, but for the homemade chicken soup and creek fish made by the kitchen auntie. The ingredients are freshly caught the same day. Great food, comfortable stay, picturesque scenery—totally worth it!
