On the southwestern edge of continental Europe, Rovinj, Croatia, is like a dazzling pearl nestled on the Adriatic coast, exuding a charming and romantic atmosphere. My beloved and I came here hand in hand, embarking on a dreamy journey of our own. In the morning, the sun gently sprinkled on Rovinj's ancient buildings. We strolled hand in hand along the stone-paved roads, each stone beneath our feet bearing the marks of time. Colorful houses lined the hillside in a charmingly haphazard way, like an overturned palette, vibrant yet harmonious. Green vines climbed the walls, dotted with tiny flowers, and the air was filled with a faint floral fragrance, as if even the wind had softened. We arrived at the seaside, where the waves gently lapped against the beach, creating a pleasant sound. The distant horizon shimmered under the sunlight, complementing the blue sky. My beloved and I sat side by side on the beach, quietly admiring the beautiful scenery before us, feeling each other's heartbeat and breath. At that moment, it felt as if the world consisted only of the two of us, and time stood still for this tranquility and beauty. At noon, we entered a seaside restaurant. The aroma of seafood filled the air, and we savored the local specialties: tender grilled fish, delicious shrimp – each bite bursting with the taste of the ocean. Outside the window was the azure sea, the sound of the waves intermingling with my beloved's laughter, composing the most beautiful melody. In the afternoon, we climbed the town's bell tower. From the top, the entire view of Rovinj unfolded before our eyes. Red-roofed, white-walled houses, winding streets, and the blue sea formed a breathtaking picture. My beloved stood beside me, pointing to the distant scenery, eyes sparkling. At that moment, I felt that the most beautiful thing in the world was to admire this world's beauty with the one I love. In the evening, the afterglow of the setting sun painted the sky orange-red. We walked along the coastline, the soft sand beneath our feet, the town bathed in the sunset behind us. The sea breeze blew, bringing a hint of coolness, and my beloved held my hand tightly, as if to convey this warmth to my heart. Our shadows stretched long on the beach, and at this moment, time seemed to freeze, becoming eternal. As night fell, Rovinj became lively and enchanting. Warm lights illuminated the streets and alleys, and cheerful music drifted from the bars. My beloved and I entered a bar, ordered two glasses of local wine, and swayed gently to the music. In the slightly tipsy atmosphere, we looked into each other's eyes, as if seeing the love that filled each other's hearts. Every moment in Rovinj was filled with romance and warmth. ✈ I drove around Croatia during the National Day holiday, covering most of the classic scenes in an 11-day itinerary. In the last issue, I talked about the Zagreb-Split line, and in this issue, I will share the rest of the itinerary. 👑Šibenik (Pictures 3-5) The next stop from Split is Šibenik, a 2-hour drive, but I arranged for a day because it passes through Kaštela (Picture 1) and Trogir (Picture 2) on the way. 🔺Kaštela has a castle in the water, which is also a Game of Thrones filming location. 🔺Trogir didn't leave a good impression on me, too many tourists at noon, the city layout is very similar to Split. The cathedral is not expensive and worth a visit. Be sure to park outside the old town (1.5 euros per hour), 4 euros per hour in the old town. 🔺Šibenik has fewer people and is a "mountain city" with many medieval streets different from other cities, which is very suitable for staying overnight and strolling around. The Šibenik Cathedral is also a World Cultural Heritage site. We didn't go in, which is a bit regrettable. 👑Rovinj (Pictures 6-7) It takes nearly 5 hours from Šibenik to Rovinj. 🔺Rovinj and Venice face each other across the sea, and the old town is all colorful. However, the area is very small, and you can finish walking around in 2 hours. 🔺I recommend two places to stay, the first is the island opposite the old town, Maistra Select Island Hotel Katarina, which has the best view of the old town, and you can snorkel by the sea. 🔺The other is the Maistra Select Family Hotel Amarin, a 5-minute drive north. Similar to clubmed, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all-inclusive, with childcare included. All kinds of entertainment facilities are free. There is a long coastline outside the hotel, where you can swim in the sea and overlook the old town. Even if you don't stay, you can come here to play. 👑Pula & Poreč (Pictures 8-11, Pictures 12-13) We stayed in Rovinj for 2 nights and went to Pula and Poreč one day. 🔺Pula has one of the only six Roman amphitheaters in the world, which is very well preserved. The amphitheater ticket is 30 euros, which is worth a visit, and the parking lot next to it is free on weekends. 🔺You can walk from the amphitheater to the Temple of Augustus, about 20 minutes, the exterior is enough, it's not worth going inside. 🔺Poreč has the World Cultural Heritage Euphrasian Basilica complex. This church built in the 4th century AD has a simple exterior, but the mosaics inside are quite stunning. After a quick tour, this attraction also takes 2 hours and is worth a special trip. 👑Samobor (Pictures 14-15) Because the car was returned to Zagreb Airport on the last day, the hotel was booked here the day before (20 minutes from the airport). 🔺Quite a surprise, the architectural style is very fairy tale, colorful houses, creek wooden bridges, windows full of flowers, very much like the fairy-tale towns on the German-French border. 🔺The cost of living is low, and there is the best specialty cake in Croatia.

It was a short bus journey away from the main station in Pula and has some of the best Mediterranean vibes of our whole trip. To see the best views, we took a boat trip around the peninsula or climb up the church tower at the top of the hill.

Some travelling tips to Brijuni National Park 1. Official National Park Boat departs from Fazana and takes about 15 mins to this park 2. Fun fact about this park is that Yugoslavia Dictator Tito has a residence here 3. Adult ticket to visit is 200 kunas which includes a guided tour, train ride, to and fro boat tickets 4. Sort of limited and expensive food options on this tourist island, be sure to pack food or eat at Fazana before coming here. 5. Really close to Pula, if you ate based in Pula, make sure to to visit this island 6. According to my guide this tour opens every day but the hotels on this island has certain months that are closed. If you plan to stay over, make sure you come at the right time
