Chiba, Sakura ˗ˏˋ Manor House ˎˊ˗ It feels like you've stepped into a countryside town in England. Nestled quietly in a residential area of Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, is the "Sakura Manor House," an English-style manor. The Manor House is said to be built entirely using antique materials imported from England. One delightful feature is the abundance of "Burleigh" tableware ☺️. The shop boasts an impressive selection of vintage cutlery, ceramics, handmade wooden furniture, and decorative items. At the back of the shop, there's a glass-enclosed tea room where you can enjoy delicious cakes and tea in a bright space filled with natural light. With prior reservation, you can experience a one-group-per-day exclusive afternoon tea. Beyond the interior lies a small English garden, creating a charming atmosphere that feels worlds away from Japan 🌱. Definitely worth a visit 🚗 ˗ˏˋ Manor House ˎˊ˗ 📍 1329 Kamishizu, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture 📞 043-312-2272

[Motosakura Castle] Motosakura Castle towered on a hill. It is one of Japan's Top 100 Castles. Looking up from below, it is easy to imagine that it is a little high and difficult to attack, but looking from above, you can see the surroundings. It seems that the sea used to be up to this point, and shipping was also well developed. Volunteers used VR to give us a very easy-to-understand explanation, so we were able to imagine what it would be like to attack the castle afterwards. #MoichiCastleTour #Japan'sTop100Castles #Castles

GOTO Shizuoka Fujinomiya & Numazu solo trip 4-day holiday in September. I went to my favorite Shizuoka with GOTO Travel. There was no traffic jam on the train and bus. It was fun. I got energy from Mt. Fuji, ate some delicious food, and I can keep going for a while!

I really enjoyed my visit to La Spa Saigon. The place is beautiful and has a modern, relaxing vibe. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were for such a nice spa. I appreciated that they asked about the pressure before starting and adjusted it to my preference. Ms. Tran was sweet, attentive, and took great care of me throughout the visit. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed, and I’d absolutely come back the next time I’m in Saigon.

This was my first time trying out a spa in a hotel, and everything was well-organized: clean facilities, friendly staff, and after the massage, I felt incredibly relaxed and refreshed. I’ll definitely come back to try more services! 🥰

A splendid hotel with an oceanfront location. From the hotel, you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset views. There are several excellent restaurants to choose from, including Sakura, which offers the unique experience of show cooking. Not only is it visually impressive, but the food quality is outstanding, making it a highly recommended experience for anyone staying here.

Last September, I spent a week at H10 Atlantic Sunset and had such a lovely vacation that I decided to return in June 2026 for two weeks. · *ARRIVAL** Upon arriving at the reception, I was warmly greeted with a glass of cava and given all the necessary information about the hotel, restaurants, and their operating hours. Opting for the all-inclusive package again, as I did last year, was a convenient choice for me. · *RESTAURANTS** The all-inclusive package includes access to the buffet restaurant three times a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The buffet offers a good variety, including different meats, fish, pasta, pizzas, and even sushi on certain evenings. Additionally, guests are entitled to three à la carte meals per week at one of the hotel's three specialty restaurants: Route 66 (American), Stromboli (Italian), and Sakura (Asian). Since I stayed for two weeks, I had the chance to enjoy six à la carte meals, all without extra charge thanks to the inclusive package. · *SWIMMING POOLS** The resort features several pools, including an infinity pool that's particularly quiet and ideal for adults. There are also dedicated pools for children and families. Guests who upgrade to the Privilege tier have access to an exclusive rooftop pool at the Privilege building. · *ROOMS** I booked a double room with a sea view, which came with either two separate beds or one large bed, alongside a private bathroom and terrace. The room was spacious and had ample storage with multiple large closets. The daily cleaning service kept the room tidy, and the minibar was restocked every two days, included in the all-inclusive package. · *ENTERTAINMENT** Every evening, the lobby bar hosts live performances. My personal favorite was the Elton John Tribute. The music ranges from 80s classics to modern hits and Spanish tunes. Sitting at the bar with a cocktail or enjoying the outdoor terrace was incredibly relaxing, especially in the summer months. The lobby bar remains open until 12:30 am each night. · *GUEST RELATIONS** The guest relations desk is available for assistance with any inquiries or issues. They were helpful in booking the à la carte restaurants and arranging complimentary transfers to Playa de las Americas. The shuttle service runs in the morning and brings you back in the evening. · *MIKE'S COFFEE** As a coffee enthusiast, I appreciated the presence of a coffee shop on-site. It offers a wide selection of coffees, along with cookies and various cakes. Rommel, a staff member at the coffee bar, stood out with his professionalism and friendliness, creating perfect coffee every time. He adds great value to the hotel’s service. · *STAFF** The highlight of the resort for me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They always went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable. I want to take this opportunity to thank several staff members individually: Ismail, Javier, Rochdi, Salvador, Yoleisi, Adrian, Diego, Sabrina, Rommel, Sergio, Anahis, Aday, Manuel, Marcos, Jennifer, Katia, Marta, Andres, Quentin, Martin, Carina, Nicole, and others. · *ROBOTS** An adorable feature of the hotel is its independent robots, which clean the hallways and even take the lift. Seeing them in action every morning brought a smile to my face. · *CONCLUSION** I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation, from the food and drinks to the pools and tranquil atmosphere of the resort. The friendly staff truly make guests feel at home, always ready to assist with a smile.

✨Step into Sakura City's dreamscape at Dutch Windmill Liefde, where European charm meets Japanese beauty. This hidden gem blends tulip gardens, a picturesque windmill, and Sakura’s tranquil countryside vibes, making it a truly insta-worthy escape just outside Tokyo.🌷 Located in lush Sakura City, the Dutch Windmill Liefde is nestled in the middle of the Sakura Furusato Square—easy to reach by local bus or a relaxing stroll if you stay nearby. As the windmill sails gently spin, you’ll be surrounded by fields of vibrant tulips in spring or golden sunflowers in summer. The staff here are welcoming and always happy to share stories about the area’s Dutch-Japanese connections. For those who want a quiet morning, come early as the park opens around 9am—perfect for uninterrupted photos and a peaceful walk. Besides the windmill itself, the riverside paths offer scenic photo stops—the best angles are at sunrise or golden hour, when the light catches the windmill and blooms for that fairytale shot. The square also hosts seasonal festivals, so check local calendars if you want to enjoy traditional music, food stalls, and crafts. #sakuracity #windmillliefde #chiba #countrysidejapan #instaworthy

One thing I definitely didn't want to miss during my trip to Osaka in early April was seeing the cherry blossoms. 🌸 The timing was perfect, and seeing the beautiful pink blossoms around Osaka Castle made the visit even more special. The historic castle surrounded by blooming cherry trees created such a beautiful scene—it felt like the perfect picture of spring in Japan. 🏯🌸 I spent time walking around, taking photos, and simply enjoying the atmosphere. There were many people out enjoying the cherry blossoms too, but the lively atmosphere made the experience even more memorable. For me, cherry blossom season is one of the best times to visit Japan. Seeing Osaka Castle surrounded by sakura was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. ❤️ 📍 Osaka Castle, Osaka, Japan 🌸 Early April – Cherry Blossom Season 🏯 Osaka Castle & Sakura 📸 Beautiful spring scenery ✨ One of my favorite memories from Japan #osaka #osakacastle #cherryblossoms #sakura #osakasakura #japantravel #japaninspring #springinjapan #osakatravel #traveljapan #japantrip #sakuraseason #cherryblossomseason #travelexperience #travelmemories

#slowtraveling "Sakura samurai residence" = the Kizaki Samurai House row in Sakura City (Chiba), 15 min from Sakura Station (JR Narita Line from Tokyo ~50 min ~920 yen IC, or Keisei to Keisei-Sakura). The lane is a 200m run of 18th–19th c earthen-wall (tsuchikabe) houses with kawara tile caps, free to walk, 24h; the Sakura Juntendo Memorial Museum and the National Museum of Japanese History (Rekihaku) sit at either end (Rekihaku 420 yen adult, 9:30–17:00, closed Mon). I went 9:15 a.m. weekday: walked the lane before Rekihaku opened, the tsuchikabe plaster still dew-dark, a granny sweeping the tile cap, the 1850s kura door unlocked for no one. Sat on the lane's single bench 20 minutes—no plaque, no stall, just the wall's shadow moving. Then paid Rekihaku at 9:30 for the Edo-medical-history wing (the Juntendo link), out by 11. IC train, 420 cash/IC Rekihaku. Etiquette: the houses are private—don't step past the gate stone, don't touch the plaster (lime flakes), the lane is 1.8m—backpack front. Mistake: 13:00 weekend—Rekihaku queue, the lane a school-group corridor. 9:15 weekday, wall-shadow low, is Sakura's own Edo. Question: when a samurai lane keeps its earthen walls by becoming a museum approach, who preserved the wall—the lord or the ticket desk?

#slowtraveling Sakura City (Chiba) is 30 min from Tokyo on the Keisei Main Line to Keisei-Sakura (¥720) or JR Narita Line to Sakura (¥1,140). The samurai residence row sits behind the National Museum of Japanese History (Rekihaku, ¥420, 9:30–17:00 closed Mon)—four restored hatamoto homes on a 200 m lane, free to walk the outside, ¥200–300 each to enter interiors. I went 9:40 Tuesday. Start at the castle mound (Motosakura-jo, free, 10-min climb, cherry in April), descend to the samurai lane before the museum opens, and read the gate stones: one house has the original 1840s lattice, another a well with a 200-year rope. The lane is residential—bow to the neighbor hanging laundry, don’t photograph into kitchens. Buy a ¥250 chestnut yokan from the wagashi shop at the lane’s end (cash), then do Rekihaku 10:30–12:30. IC card covers the train; lane is free; museum card or cash. Mistake: combining Sakura with Narita same day. Both are half-days; stacked, the samurai lane becomes a photo run. Would you walk a lane where people still live behind 1840s gates, or does “historic” need a rope barrier?

This resort-style café is operated by the Skylark Group. Located at 14-1 Minami-Yukarigaoka, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, it's just a 2 to 3-minute walk from either District Center Station or Yukarigaoka Station on the Keisei Main Line. Signature menu items include their famous "Soufflé Pancakes" (Fuwa-toro Pancakes) made from freshly whipped meringue, specialty coffees, and a great selection of brunch and light meals. Operating hours are 07:00 – 22:00 daily. One morning during our trip to Japan, my husband and I came here for breakfast. The place was clean and cozy, the food was delicious, and they even had a robot waiter. It was a great experience 😊

Today, I'm introducing a vegetable-focused restaurant, but let me be clear—it's not purely an Asian-style vegetarian spot. For friends who can't live without meat, they still offer meat-based main courses. But if you have vegetarians with you, it's definitely worth checking out. This renowned restaurant takes the "Farm-to-Table" concept to the absolute extreme, showcasing the true aesthetics of vegetables. It's a fantastic spot that satisfies both plant-based eaters and meat lovers! The brand's founder and team share a vision of "letting customers experience the most authentic and delicious flavors of vegetables." They run their own In-house Organic Farm in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. Every morning at dawn, the staff hand-harvests the crops and delivers them directly to the restaurant's tables, guaranteeing the ultimate freshness. The signature dish features seasonal vegetables lightly seasoned with a special soy sauce and then grilled on an iron teppan plate. The high heat instantly unlocks the natural sweetness and vibrant aromas of the veggies. Enjoy these grilled vegetables with a piping hot anchovy, garlic, and soybean dip (Bagna Cauda). The rich, savory notes perfectly elevate the original sweetness of the vegetables. For the main course, they offer sous-vide chicken, duck, or Japanese Wagyu beef, which pair flawlessly with the roasted vegetables. Even the desserts incorporate their homegrown veggies—the Kale Basque Cheesecake brings the entire meal to a healthy and satisfying close. The Ebisu location is designed with plenty of wooden elements and lush greenery, creating a chic, modern atmosphere that feels naturally relaxing. It's an ideal spot for friend get-togethers or dates. Hiyodori Bamboo Forest (Hiyodorizaka), located in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, is an ancient, 160-meter-long Edo-period bamboo path tucked away next to a residential area. After my flight from Melbourne to HCM, I decided I needed to unwind with a massage, so I visited La Spa Sai Gon, conveniently located within the hotel where I was staying. It was a fantastic experience in a very clean and professional spa. I highly recommend La Spa for a thorough and relaxing massage from head to toe.

I had a wonderful experience here. The environment is serene and calming, and the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. My treatment was done by Dung, who was very attentive and ensured my comfort throughout the session. Before coming, I had significant neck and shoulder tension, but I felt much better and truly relaxed afterwards. If you’re dealing with neck and shoulder pain, I highly recommend this place—it really worked for me. I’ll definitely return in the future.

The massage was incredible! Van treated me unbelievably well! She has an amazing instinct for people! Tran was super friendly, gave me advice, and shared lots of tips about Vietnam! I'm so glad I came here! 🤍

For this trip to Japan, I set my sights on Chiba Prefecture, located on the eastern coast of Tokyo Bay. This place boasts not only beautiful natural scenery but also a profound cultural heritage. Today, I'll take you into the National Museum of Japanese History for an eye-opening journey of historical and cultural exploration. First Stop: The First Encounter — The Magnificent Main Entrance Arriving at the museum, the first thing that catches the eye is a broad, stunningly designed grand staircase. As shown in image_0.png, the majestic dark red brick steps rise tier by tier, extending all the way to the arched entrance in the distance. It feels like a time tunnel leading visitors into the unknown river of history. Against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds, the museum's modern geometric architecture appears exceptionally grand. In the distance, a Japanese flag flutters gently in the breeze, adding a touch of solemnity. Walking up the stairs, every step feels like treading to the rhythm of history, filling my heart with anticipation. Second Stop: The Prelude — Modern Art in the Courtyard Before entering the main building, I took a short break in the courtyard. There is a unique water feature area here. As shown in image_1.png, a highly modern concrete pillar sculpture stands right in the center of a clear blue pool, with three transparent spheres embedded in its body, looking both contemporary and mysterious. The pillar beautifully complements the surrounding modern white tile architecture, creating a tranquil and comfortable space. Bright red traffic cones and "Caution: Slippery" warning signs are thoughtfully placed around the pool to remind visitors to stay safe, showcasing incredible attention to detail. Third Stop: The Main Event — Echoes of History in the Exhibition Halls Stepping into the exhibition halls feels like entering a giant treasure house of history. The exhibits here are incredibly rich and diverse, covering various periods of Japan from ancient times to the present. Special Exhibition 1: The Boxer War and the Turbulence in East Asia In the history section, I was deeply drawn to a special exhibition on "The Boxer War." As shown in image_2.png, the display boards detail this major historical event from 1900 and showcase many precious photos and documents. A political cartoon titled "The Situation Map" caught my attention; it vividly depicts the grim reality of China being carved up by global powers at that time. The display cabinets also feature maps and books from that era, such as the route map of the Japanese army attacking Beijing and photos of the Boxers, making you feel transported back to those turbulent times. In-Depth Interpretation: Precious Historical Documents In the Boxer War exhibition area, I saw even more detailed exhibits. As shown in image_3.png and image_4.png, there is a Japanese map titled "Map of the Siege of the Foreign Legations in Beijing," which accurately marks the locations of the foreign legations at the time, the scope of the siege, and the offensive and defensive routes of the Japanese army. The display case also holds two highly valuable historical books: one is a Japanese work titled *Diary of the Siege in Peking*, which meticulously records the firsthand experiences of those involved during the siege in Beijing; the other is a Chinese publication, *True Record of the Oriental War, Volume 19: History of the Northern Qing War, Part 1*, which serves as China's contemporary record of this war. These precious documentary materials provide different perspectives for us to interpret this period of history, granting a deeper understanding of its complexity. Special Exhibition 2: The First Sino-Japanese War and the Fate of Taiwan Moving forward, another important exhibition focuses on the "First Sino-Japanese War" (Nisshin Senso). As shown in image_5.png and image_6.png, the display boards detail the causes, processes, and impacts of this war, particularly the content regarding the Japanese army's invasion of Taiwan. The display cabinets exhibit Japanese military books, maps, and personal items used by soldiers. What impressed me the most was a snow-white silk fabric clearly printed with the Japanese words "First Sino-Japanese War, Seventh Division." This was a square cloth used by Japanese soldiers to wrap their luggage or serve as an identifier. In addition, several Japanese books, such as *Diary of a Military Doctor in the First Sino-Japanese War* and *An Evening Talk on a Soldier's Resolve*, are on display. They vividly record what the Japanese soldiers saw, heard, and thought on the battlefield back then, giving visitors a more intuitive sense of the true cruelty of war. Fourth Stop: A Surprise — An Unexpected Encounter with Godzilla In a corner of the museum, I actually made an unexpected discovery—a massive Godzilla model! As shown in image_7.png, this iconic movie monster stands majestically in a specially designated exhibition area. With its rough skin and sharp teeth, it looks as if it's ready to let out a deafening roar at any moment. The background features busy city streets and skyscrapers, perfectly recreating the classic scene of Godzilla destroying a city. The adjacent display boards detail Godzilla's birth, evolutionary history, and its significant status in Japanese pop culture. This unexpected "encounter" added a lot of fun to what was otherwise a serious historical journey. Conclusion Although this trip to the Chiba Museum lasted only a few short hours, it was highly rewarding. Here, not only did I revisit many crucial historical events, but I also gained a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the history of Japan and East Asia as a whole through precious artifacts and detailed historical records. At the same time, the museum's grand architectural design and diverse exhibition content left a profound impression on me. If you are also a history enthusiast or just interested in Japanese culture, the Chiba Museum is absolutely a stop you cannot miss!

We had a truly enjoyable experience here. The reception was warm and inviting, and the entire process flowed smoothly from start to finish. Dung's treatment was incredibly relaxing, which greatly helped release the tension accumulated from our long travel days in Vietnam.
