Located near Samukawa Shrine, known for its "Yappō-yoke", this restaurant is a popular pork cutlet restaurant in Samukawa-cho, Shonan. 🐷💓
Looking at the parking lot, it seems like many people come from far away 🥰
The menu is reasonably priced, even on weekends, and has lunch menus 👌
Of course, there are plenty of regular menu items as well 🙆♀️
●C Lunch (2 fillet cutlets and 2 small fried shrimp) 1000 yen
*Free refills of cabbage and rice
They weren't small shrimp at all, they were just big 🤤Very satisfied ❤️

A Peaceful Day in Samukawa – Shrines, Sakura & a Slow Walk
#cityplaybook
Sometimes the best days are the quiet ones—and a visit to Samukawa Shrine offers just that. Located in Kanagawa Prefecture, this area is known for its calming atmosphere, spacious grounds, and deep spiritual roots.
I started the day with a visit to Samukawa Shrine, one of the most important shrines in the region. Surrounded by tall trees and wide paths, it’s a place that invites you to breathe a little deeper and slow down.
Nearby, I also stopped by Miyayama Shrine, a smaller but equally peaceful spot tucked into a quiet corner of the town.
In the afternoon, I headed to Samukawa Chuo Park for a little picnic under the trees. If you visit during cherry blossom season, this park is especially beautiful—soft pink petals falling with the breeze, kids playing, and a sense of ease in the air.
Why I recommend Samukawa:
・It’s a perfect day trip if you’re looking to escape the city and recharge
・The combination of nature and tradition creates a calm you can really feel

[Kanagawa / Samukawa Town] Soba restaurant near Samukawa Shrine
There are only a few places to eat, so it's a crowded place.
They also have Hachifuku-mochi, a specialty of Samukawa Shrine.
The "Hachi" (eight) is a symbol of protection from all directions, and the "Fuku" (luck) is a symbol of good fortune and happiness, so it's called "Hachifuku-mochi"!
Just eating it is lucky 🌟
