I went for the Margherita, and it was just what I hoped for: a soft, slightly chewy crust with a perfect balance of tangy tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. The portion was generous, true to the famous “pizza a ruota di carro” style. That said, service could use a bit of improvement. It wasn’t bad, but it felt a bit disorganized, especially during busy hours. There was a bit of a wait for the pizza, but thankfully, it was worth it. The staff were friendly, though not particularly attentive. In short, if you’re in Bergamo and craving authentic Neapolitan pizza, L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is definitely worth a try.
