Mentawai, A Long Journey That Is Totally Worth It.
Sometimes the most memorable trips are the ones that take a little extra effort 😌🚤
Our trip to the Mentawai Islands started in Padang, followed by a speedboat ride to 📍 Tuapeijat. We enjoyed the ocean voyage, feeling the city hustle slowly fade away ✨
As soon as we arrived, the Mentawai vibes hit different.
It was quieter, more laid-back, and packed with ocean views that made it impossible to put the camera down 😭🌊
We explored the area around Tuapeijat, stopped by 📍 Jati Beach for its incredibly chill atmosphere, and stumbled upon tons of gorgeous, unnamed beaches along the island 🏝️
These spots didn't need a crowd; they were stunning all on their own.
And of course... we finally got to see the real-life "SpongeBob Island" in person 🍍✨
This iconic spot that I've only ever seen scrolling through social media is genuinely just as unique in real life.
Mentawai made me realize that the best vacations aren't always about a jam-packed itinerary 😌
They're about soaking in the journey, the calm seas, and the simple moments that stay with you forever.
