Sunset in Stockholm 🏙️
#bestsunset
I recently spent an evening in Stockholm, and the sunset over the city was unforgettable! I headed to Monteliusvägen, a popular spot that offers a stunning view of the city skyline and Lake Mälaren. The best part? It’s free! As the sun dipped behind the old town of Gamla Stan, the sky lit up with shades of pink, orange, and gold—it was magical. The way the light reflected off the water and the historic buildings felt like a postcard moment.
After watching the sunset, I wandered through Södermalm, a trendy neighborhood full of cafes and bars. It’s a great place to grab a bite or a drink afterward. The whole vibe of Stockholm at dusk is so peaceful yet lively at the same time. If you’re looking for a perfect way to end the day in the city, catching the sunset is a must. Definitely plan it into your itinerary!

A Three-Day, Two-Night Trip to Norway: Experience the Charm of Harbor Cities
Norway is absolutely amazing to explore! Three days and two nights are simply not enough!
In Stockholm, I felt a strong cultural atmosphere, visited many interesting museums and art galleries, and tasted the local cuisine, which was incredibly delicious! I also visited the Royal Palace in Stockholm and saw the luxurious palace of the Swedish royal family, which felt like being in a fairy tale.
Then, I arrived in Bergen, and this harbor city is truly beautiful! I visited the Bergen Aquarium and saw many unique marine creatures, and climbed Mount Fløyen to enjoy a panoramic view of Bergen, which was incredibly healing.
Overall, this trip to Norway was fantastic! Both Stockholm and Bergen are stunning cities, and if you have the chance to visit, don't miss out!
The Royal Palace of Sweden, the residence of the King of Sweden.
The Royal Palace of Sweden, located in Stockholm, is the official residence of the King of Sweden. However, the Swedish royal family no longer resides here. Despite this, it is still worth visiting. Besides being the residence of the King of Sweden, there are various museums to explore. Visitors can pay an entrance fee to tour the palace. Additionally, there are weapons and soldiers stationed outside. If you're interested in seeing the uniforms of the Royal Guards, this is a great place to visit.
Stockholm: A Seaside City You Can't Miss!

✔️Stockholm City Hall City Center: Located on the shores of Lake Mälaren, it was built in 1911. It is the image and representative of Stockholm. It is the office of the city's Municipal Council and the place where the Nobel Prize is celebrated after the award. The exterior wall of the entire building is brick red and is built near the water. The towers stand majestically, forming a strong contrast with the gentle buildings spreading along the water. Coupled with the highly decorative longitudinal windows, the entire building is like a sailing ship, magnificent and majestic. .
✔️Main Square: Gothenburg’s Main Square is one of the oldest and most famous squares in the center of Gothenburg, Sweden. This is the gathering point of the old town streets. Most of the buildings in the square were built in the 18th and 19th centuries, displaying traditional Swedish wooden architecture and Gothic architectural style, adding a unique historical flavor to the square.
✔️Fish Market Church: This place called "Feskekörka" by the locals is Gothenburg's famous "Fish Market". This word is "Fish Church" in Swedish. The market sells fresh fish caught that day and a variety of seafood. You can find a restaurant to taste it at the fish market, or you can buy seafood and sit on the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Even if you don’t eat seafood, it’s still great for just taking photos.
✔️Malmö Small Square: This is one of the most popular squares in Malmö, Sweden. There are open-air cafes and restaurants on the square, and there are old-fashioned buildings around it. Here visitors can try traditional Swedish fare such as Swedish meatballs and herring salad, or enjoy international dishes. There is a giant lamp on the square, built in 2006, 5.8 meters high. Standing under this huge table lamp at night, it feels like walking into a fairy tale world.
✔️The ancient city of Uppsala: Located in the north of the city, the ancient city is basically composed of a museum and three Swedish tombs from around the 6th century. In the museum, you can learn about the history and culture of the ancient Vikings and the city of Uppsala.
☀️Driving in this charming land in the south of Sweden, enjoy the gentle sunshine on your body, bathe in the gentle sea breeze, listen to the songs from the Middle Ages, and touch the church buildings thousands of years ago... Trip to Stockholm, Sweden 🇸🇪
It was my first time traveling to Stockholm, Sweden. Before traveling to Sweden, I did a lot of research. P/s: they don’t use euro but the use Swedish Krona. Just to share some experience such as transferring from airport to city centre, my most favorite spot to visit and the best restaurant during my trip 🙌
On the first day, we reached Arlanda Airport in the morning. We traveled to the city by Arlanda express. The ticket was slightly expensive(299SEK) as compared to public transport. But it took us only 20 minutes to reach the city. Whereas for bus the ticket only cost (129SEK) but it takes 40-50 minutes. We can’t wait to visit the city, so we just pick the fastest route to get there 🤣
Just a lil reminder, I think Sweden has the most amazing train station. The interior design in each station that we visited were different yet stunning!
In Stockholm, the “MUST” visit spot will be The Royal Palace. The palace was so grand and beautiful. The ticket costed 160SEK for me and costed 80SEK for my friend as she’s holding a student card. We spent about 2 hours to walk around the palace. Just a reminder, so keep the receipts with you, as the worker will scan the receipts for three times when you walked to three different places (there were 3 sections open for visit). Do not lost the receipt 😇 This place was just amazing.
The Royal Palace
📍Kungliga slottet, 107 70 Stockholm, Sweden
Last but not least. Just to share my most favorite restaurant in Stockholm, Fika & Wine. We ordered meat ball, seafood salad and a cinnamon roll as dessert. The meat ball was so good! It’s the best meatball we had in Sweden. The sauce just goes very well and it was served with mashed potatoes as well. The seafood was fresh and the cinnamon roll was really hot and fresh as well. We visited the restaurant twice just for the meat ball! Can you imagine how good it is! Haha
Fika & Wine

And you, what’s your favourite food in Sweden?

Stockholm city center
Drottninnggatan Shopping Street is the main pedestrian street in Central Stockholm. It runs for probably 10-12 blocks maybe more and is loaded with retail shops selling all kinds of merchandise, restaurants, and coffee shops.
You will find Stockholm full of relevant shopping streets, but Drottninggatan nearby the central station (about 10 mins walk) is very recommended because it is accessible and easy to find.
📝note: If you are a first time traveler to Sweden, it is recommended to bring a credit card with you, as most of the shops and restaurants DO NOT ACCEPT CASH!
⚠️ One big mistake when I went is that, I did not research further. Sweden is a cashless country, there are limited shops that accepts cash but you can barely find them in the city. Not even international brands like IKEA nor Starbucks accept cash which was super frustrating. It took a lot of walking and talking to people where to find shops that accepted my China bank debit card. (I do not have a credit card, fyi).
☑️This experience traveling to Sweden is surely one to remember. It may not be pleasant at first, but it taught me an important lesson. As a traveler to a completely new country, researching basics is a must! 😉

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Stockholm!
I’ve visited Stockholm twice now with the most recent tip being in February (meaning it was quite cold). The city centre is not far from the airport and east to access.
There are a number of things to do in Stockholm including nature related attractions. We visited a National park that had some animals that are native to Sweden as well as historic buildings. During the summer, there is also an opportunity to go on a river boat cruise. #sweden #stockholm #nature
Beautiful picture in Stockholm 🇸🇪
There is no doubt that Sweden is one of the best beautiful city in the world. In here, you can find lots of stunning places such as Skansen , boat trip across the island. Moreover, Meatball is one of the famous dishes for Swedish to eat during the meal time. They are absolutely delicious .

Stockholm 🇸🇪 Sweden
斯德哥爾摩 Stockholm is one of the beautiful city in the world. The wildlife, the view , the food are spectacular. I am in love with this place already. I have joined the boat trip from Stockholm to Vaxholm and the view across different islands is absolutely gorgeous. As the weather is cold, therefore the ocean became freezes and there’s point between the ice and the water. This solo travel trip is definitely worth it. Come along to Sweden and enjoy !

Icy Stockholm
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm is the capital city and the largest city of Sweden in Scandinavia. By virtue of its location, Stockholm is regarded as one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world.
There are beautiful cathedrals and town halls o admire. The small bridges between the river are excellent to take for walks.
Tip: I like visiting at winter time to witness the large ice blocks in the water for a unique backdrop.

The Cosy Streets of Stockholm
#tripblazers #stockholm #urbanexplorer
It doesn’t get more picturesque than meandering down the snug streets of Stockholm Sweden. The narrowest street is Marten Trotzigs grand, but I found that the real stunning views came from streets a little wider painted in warm orange, reds and yellows.
I especially loved seeing all the intricately designed doors.
A Room with a View: Stockholm City Hall
#tripblazers #stockholm #sweden
Looking for a slice of history and interesting architecture a little further away from the crowds in Stockholm? I visited the Stockholm city hall on a tour and was impressed by all the beautifully decorated rooms inside. My favourite fact was how the stairs were tested by the architects wife to make sure they were the perfect height for the female visiting dignitaries.
Another beautiful part of the city hall is the location, across the river from the main city, it’s quiet and boats beautiful views.
Monteliusvagen offers a scenic view of Stockholm
Monteliusvagen is a quarter mile narrow footpath that opens up to an impressive view of Stockholm. It is very accessible by public transport and located near bus and tram stops.
It is certainly one of the best viewpoints in the city and affords unparalleled views over Gamla Stan, the old town. After the visit, I walked to the nearby IKEA for a dish of Swedish meatballs!

Pleasant Gateway to Helsinki via Cruise
It happens when my trip to Stockholm got another extra day to be use. We decide to try cruise. Flight is not the only way to travel between Stockholm and Helsiki. So we decide to enjoy a day on the cruise ship. I find myself lucky travelling via cruise at a reasonable price. Something not only rich people can enjoy the fancy and luxurious cruise. In fact, when we book the ticket a month earlier, we've got most affordable offer on the web page.
Basically there are few type of room you can choose. Mine was simple B class. The room is just nice to have a good night sleep. The bed also comfy. The facilities is just basic but enough for us.
There are few restaurants on the ship, couple of bars, casino and lounge. Swimming pool and sauna area, playroom for kids and lot's of Tax-free shops and etc. There is also an acrobatic show before live music on main deck. You should check it out if you like to experience it!

Scandinavian cruise trip from Stockholm to Helsinki
Location: From Stockholm to Helsinki
Duration: 16 hours
Company: Viking Line
Room type: Deluxe room with double bed without window
Meals: Buffet Dinner
Entertainment: live band music, magic show, karaoke
Cost: 200 Euro including dinner buffet
This is one of the best way to travel in the Scandinavian region. The cost of travelling by cruise is reasonable and you can definitely save one night of hotel by travelling on cruise. Although it takes 16 hours to travel, you can enjoy different facilities and entertainment on board. You can also choose from different restaurants on board. Spacious area for the deluxe room and you can enjoy spectacular view during sunrise when it is approaching Helsinki.
As it is a type of regional cruise trip, most of the passengers are speaking in Scandinavian language, a bit difficult for me to blend in as a English speaker. Overall, still enjoy the whole vibe and atmosphere of Scandinavian music and dance. Worth trying if you are travelling across Scandinavian regions.
Stockholm - Capital City of Sweden
I had a chance to visit few places at Stockholm during my stay such as Vasa Museum, Skansen, Zoo at Stockholm, Gamla Stan, Drottningholm Palace, Sodermalm and few more. Overall I love spending my time strolling around Gamla stan. Enjoy my time get a cup of coffee and best waffle at the cafe. If you loved history, there are a lot of city tour to be done right here to see old buildings and narrow cobblestone streets. Hope I will come back again some other time.
