Labi-Jay is one of the uppermost lakes in the Haft Kul chain, located in the Zarafshan Valley of northern Tajikistan, not far from the Uzbek border and the historic town of Panjakent. While most visitors hike as far as the fifth or sixth lake, Labi-Jay lies deeper into the mountains, accessible only by foot — and that’s part of its charm. Among the five Central Asian countries, the Pamir Plateau in Tajikistan is a must-visit destination. 【How to Get There Without a Tour】 Departure: From Dushanbe, take a shared taxi for about 12 hours to reach the village of Khorog, the gateway to the Pamir Plateau. 📍Taxi to Pamir A 12-hour shared taxi ride costs approximately 7,000 yen. I used Khorog as my base for traveling. I visited in late October, which was the off-season, so it was quite difficult to find a shared taxi from Khorog. This time, I only went as far as a place called Namadgut, but the autumn scenery of the Pamir was absolutely stunning. To enjoy the open views of the Pamir on both the Afghan side and the Tajik side, you need to travel as far as a village called Langar. I recommend taking your time and traveling at a leisurely pace.

Abu Harifa Mosque is located in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, covering an area of 12 hectares and can accommodate 133,000 people for prayer at the same time. It took 10 years to complete from 2009, and it is a magnificent comprehensive Islamic building. The main building of the mosque has three large entrances, four minarets, and 20 domes of different sizes. It consists of four 74-meter-high minarets, two 21-meter-high decorative small minarets, one 43-meter-high magnificent large dome, and 17 small domes each 35 meters high, showcasing the unique charm of Tajikistan's carpets and white marble. Abu Harifa Mosque is one of the most important religious sites in Dushanbe, with unique architectural style, exquisite decoration, and splendid gold walls, blending traditional Islamic elements with modern design.
