I've been here before, but I went twice this year, in August and September. The weather was nice, the sea was beautiful, and there were palm trees, so it felt like a tropical island. I stopped off at a small aquarium, which was cheap and well worth the price. For some reason, there was an airplane on display next to it. There is a hot spring on the island where you can take a day trip to bathe.

Perhaps it's because I'm getting older, but now hotels themselves are more appealing to me than tourist attractions—this Marissa Resort on Suo Oshima Island in Yamaguchi Prefecture is the kind of place worth the trip just for the hotel itself 🏨. The entire resort has a Hawaiian theme. There aren't many rooms, but all of the sixty-odd are ocean-view rooms directly facing the sea. The infinity pool on the first floor is a fantastic spot for photos; every shot looks like it's from a magazine cover. There don't seem to be many restaurants nearby, so I decided to have dinner at the hotel. The exquisite French cuisine was infused with Japanese techniques, and both the presentation and taste were superb—truly delicious and beautiful! [winking emoji] After nightfall, the bar offers complimentary drinks and snacks, perfect for chatting with a few friends over drinks. It's also a hidden gem for watching the sunrise. The front desk posts the sunrise time for the next day that evening, so you can set your alarm. After watching the sunrise, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, the sea breeze blowing in your face, and you'll feel completely at peace. Finally, we returned to the restaurant for a well-balanced breakfast, rested briefly in our room, and then calmly checked out to continue our journey. Perfect! 🌅
