Lost in a Purple Ocean: My Trip to Mayfield Lavender Farm
📍Address: Mayfield Lavender Farm, UK
In the summer of the UK, when the lavender blooms, Mayfield Lavender Farm, about an hour's drive from London, becomes a dreamy travel destination. Here, not only is there an endless sea of purple flowers, but also unique lavender products that make you linger.
Stepping into Mayfield Lavender Farm, you are greeted by swaying lavender fields, with purple flowers accompanied by a fresh fragrance, as if you are in a painting. Walking along the paths in the flower fields, with sunlight shining and a gentle breeze blowing, your mood instantly becomes joyful. Here, you can take countless beautiful photos and share this summer beauty with friends.
After touring the flower fields, don't forget to visit the small shop in the garden. It sells a variety of homemade lavender products, including sachets, lavender essential oils, and delicious lavender honey. My favorite is the microwaveable hand warmer stuffed animal. This plush toy is not only cute but also filled with the scent of lavender, bringing warmth and comfort on cold nights.
The hand warmer's usage is very simple. Just take out the lavender pouch inside its belly, then heat it in the microwave for a few minutes to enjoy its warmth. The lavender scent is released during the heating process, making you feel relaxed and happy. Whether used to soothe muscle fatigue or as a bedtime companion, it is very suitable.
The trip to Mayfield Lavender Farm is not only a visual feast but also a healing experience for the soul. Every lavender flower here carries the memory of summer, and that warm little dog has become a special keepsake in my heart. If you have the chance to visit the UK, be sure to come here to experience the charm of lavender and bring back a piece of summer's beauty.

Mayfield lavender Farm - beautiful on either cloudy day or sunny day
I got the chance to visit Mayfield lavender farm twice, once on a cloudy day and once on a sunny day. And I must say, either weather, the farm is still stunning.
Mayfield Lavender Farm is a beautiful destination located in the Surrey countryside, just outside of London. It’s famous for its vast fields of fragrant lavender, creating a stunning sea of purple during the summer months. So of course, the best months to visit here is from late June to early August, with July usually being the peak season.
Mayfield Lavender farm is around 15-mile drive from Central London, and easily access by train to Banstead or Burley stations, then taking taxi/local bus to go there. Make sure to arrive early, or very late to avoid the crows, especially during peak bloom season.

Whitehall: A Stroll Through London's Historic Heart
🏛️🇬🇧 #HistoricalLondon #CulturalHeritage Walking along Whitehall in London, I embarked on a journey through centuries of history and political intrigue. This iconic street, stretching from Trafalgar Square to Parliament Square, is not just a thoroughfare but a living testament to Britain's rich cultural heritage.
The grandeur of Whitehall's architecture captivated me, with its stately government buildings, imposing monuments, and sweeping vistas. At one end, the majestic Admiralty Arch welcomed me into the heart of British governance and administration.
As I strolled past the Horse Guards Parade, I imagined the clatter of hooves and the precision of ceremonial marches that have echoed through its grounds for centuries. The architecture of the Horse Guards Building itself spoke of military prowess and royal patronage.
Continuing down Whitehall, I paused to admire the Cenotaph, a solemn memorial to the fallen soldiers of World War I and subsequent conflicts. Its simple yet powerful design evoked a sense of reverence and remembrance amidst the bustling cityscape.
Nearby, the Banqueting House stood as a masterpiece of Palladian architecture, its iconic ceiling painted by Rubens a testament to artistic brilliance and royal patronage.
Whitehall's significance extends beyond its architectural splendor; it is a place where history unfolds with every step. From political demonstrations to royal processions, the street has witnessed pivotal moments in Britain's past and continues to be a hub of national identity and cultural pride.
Leaving Whitehall, I carried with me not just memories of its grandeur but a deeper appreciation for London's enduring role as a nexus of history, politics, and culture. It remains a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to explore the essence of Britain's capital and its rich tapestry of stories.

Lost in a sea of lavender 💜🌿
Visiting Mayfield Lavender Farm was like stepping into a dreamy lavender wonderland. Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Surrey, this charming farm is a haven for lavender enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
As soon as I arrived, the soothing aroma of lavender filled the air, instantly transporting me to a state of relaxation. The vibrant purple fields stretched out before me, creating a picturesque scene that felt straight out of a postcard.
The farm's layout was well organized, with neat rows of lavender plants and clearly marked pathways for visitors to explore. It was a joy to stroll through the fields, feeling the soft petals brush against my fingertips. The gentle buzz of bees, busy collecting pollen, added to the tranquil ambiance.
The staff at Mayfield Lavender Farm were friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer any questions and share interesting facts about lavender. They provided helpful tips on how to care for lavender plants and even offered guided tours for those who wanted a more in-depth experience.
One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to pick my own lavender bunch. Armed with a pair of scissors, I carefully selected the most fragrant and vibrant stems, creating a personalized bouquet to take home. It was a delightful way to engage with the farm and create a lasting memory.
After exploring the fields, I made my way to the charming on-site café. The menu featured a variety of lavender-infused treats, from lavender ice cream to lavender lemonade. Indulging in these delectable delights while enjoying the idyllic surroundings was pure bliss. The café also had a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for savoring the panoramic views and sipping on a cup of lavender tea.

British Summer | Lavender Season
#lavender🪻🪻
The first summer in the UK, of course, to see lavender🪻.
Mayfield Lavender Farm is located on the south side of London and is a popular lavender viewing sanctuary.
The whole Farm is actually very big, there are several photo spots, I didn't walk all over🙈. The lavender near the door is shorter, if you walk in a little lavender to my waist height, the photo is more beautiful 😉. In addition to taking pictures, the twins and their friends even entertained themselves by exploring small insects🐞 and getting close to nature.
However, the weather has been hot and cold recently, lavender has begun to wither, the color is no longer so beautiful, not so lush😢.
🛍 Before leaving, you can go to the shop to buy lavender products, including incense bags, Handcream, soap, etc., we bought 1 bundle of lavender flowers to decorate, full of lavender fragrance😌£4.95/1 bundle.
Admission is £5 for adults, children under 12 are free, which is quite affordable and quite suitable for sightseeing as a family 👍🏻.

British-style Hong Kong-style lunch
This time we went to the newly opened Hong Kong-style tea house - Happy Valley Tea House. Crispy western toast and omelet are the perfect start to your travel day! If you are a Hong Kong-style Western toast lover, this place is really not a scam. I sincerely recommend it!
Happy Valley Tea House
This newly opened cha chaan teng mainly serves Hong Kong classics - western toast, milk tea, and various Hong Kong-style rice noodles. The toast is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The peanut butter and butter are stacked together, which is super satisfying; the milk tea is smooth and not tart.
Sutton Worcester Park
📍Address: London, Worcester Park, Sutton
Iced milk tea is good, hot milk tea is more rich
📝Real Traveler Tips:
1️⃣ Don't think too much when you go to Happy Valley cha chaan teng, order toast as soon as you sit down! Other noodle meals in the same venue are worth trying.
2️⃣Closed every Thursday
3️⃣Convenient transportation
4️⃣ For now only use cash, seems to have a discount

Delicious food
#NovemberTravelSupportEvent I think I went to the Korean restaurant I introduced to you again. At that time, my accommodation was nearby so I went there really often. Of course, it wasn't even a few days, but I really missed Korean food ㅠㅠㅠㅠ You all know how far it wasㅠ I remember being happy because I even got kimchi for free

#NovemberTravelSupportEvent I introduced you to a Korean restaurant I ate at in England, but London is so far away from here that I honestly might not have a reason to go there ㅠㅠㅠ Even though it's a city called Thornton, which is too far away from humans, there are so many delicious things and so many great restaurants that it's such a great placeㅜ

#NovemberTravelSupportEvent As soon as I arrived in London, I went to my accommodation. This is an area called Thornton. Actually, I didn't know London was that big, and I thought it was right next to London, so I briefly stayed in the Thornton area, but when I took an Uber, it cost me about 70,000 won... I think it came out to be like that.

🇬🇧Mayfield Lavender Farm in the suburbs of London, UK, feels like being in Provence
I had planned to go to the south of France to see lavender.
Unfortunately, the time coincided with their harvest date.
So when I got there, there was no lavender garden to see.
Then when I was searching for information online, I discovered that there are lavender farms in the UK!
Harvest time is later than in the south of France
And you can get there easily without having to drive! 🚌
You can see a whole field of lavender without going to the south of France
Total area 25 acres
It feels like being in Provence
Mayfield Lavender Farm lavender fields near London, England
The lavender fields are open from June to August every year.
July and August are usually the peak blooming periods.
I recommend you go there during this period to see the most beautiful lavender!
There are other flowers on site.
For example, a super large yellow sunflower 🌻
I could smell the fragrance of flowers while taking photos.
It feels very healing!
But there are a lot of bees in the lavender garden~
Although these bees are not evil, they will not attack humans.
But it still takes some time to overcome it haha
