Trip Moments Recommendations
Admire the beauty of the abbey in Whitby!
By far the best abbey I ever visited! If you do come here, best to come before 4 as they close at 5pm. 1 hour is a tad too short. I’ll recommend 1.5hours at least because at the end, you can go down to a center nearby where they sell souvenirs.
You’d be awed by the beautiful architecture and how it was preserved for the longest time. In one corner of the abbey, you can oversee the Whitby Beach. Beautiful scenery istg.
Highly recommend for anyone coming to the UK!

Unesco Heritage UK
Look like just simple stones build but actually there is meaning and history behind it. Stonehenge is unesco heritage site where the old urban people used to live here in camp and created this for some symbol.
Because of its ancient history, this place has been marked as unesco heritage place. Entrance ticket here very expensive so I signed up as student, but still very costly. However, I find that its worth because I get to explore around and see the museum not just staring on stones. Come here by driving so it is more convenient.

Tintagel Castle
Sounds like some elegant building when you heard about castle right? But too bad, for this is just the ruins. There is no more castle left. Built by King Arthur who is so romantic, located in midst of mountain and ocean. The area is huge that we need time to explore around.
Becareful of steps though as some path are rocky and steep. The remains of castle can still be seen around but mostly are ocean and mountain view. I enjoy watching waves but weather is too cold here!

Journey to Tintagel Castle
Found many unique artitechture building here at tingagel. Most of it made of stones. The pathway towards tintagel castle is quite rough and rocky. We had to be careful with our steps.
We enjoyed the view from unique houses and my imagination runs wild. What if the people who live here don't have cars? Where does the food source come from? But majority of people here have their own transport or someone will deliver food supplies for them. Living in this area seems fun, surrounded with nature in mountain side.

Trebarwith Strand
King Authur was so romantic that he built his kingdom around beaches, caves and sea; from low tide to high tide area. This was part of his tintagel kingdom.
Beach here is only accessible during low tide but sadly when I went there it's not accessible. But I'm happy enough to see waves, as well as unique rocky path. Feel so close to nature and when the wind comes it was super cold as winter was approaching.
I stayed in this place for whole day and end my day here drinking hot chocolate to warm the body. Should visit here if you are driving and love coastal area.

Newquay
This place is famous with its wave that is great for surfer due to its fistral. The location is kind of resort but open for public. Surrounded with beautiful houses as well. I found the icon of this place is like the 2 island connected with one another by the bridge.
It feel so strange when in the middle of sea there's one lone house on top of like an island. When I get closer then I saw the bridge. Imagine if you were there alone without the bridge. How can you survive? and what happen when the bridge is broken?
I really love the waves here. So nice and calming to see it moving.

Aquae Sulis is Real
So Aquae Sulis is not just town name but it's a person. There is his body remains on display, and all the things that Roman people use for day to day.
Initially I thought it was just town name, but it seems like the name also came from someone; and how can it have the same surname as goddess? Maybe they are family. Both name end with "Sulis", and this person might be the king/emperor of Roman kingdom during that time.
I hate history so I didn't really pay much attention, I adore it's sclupture artifacts and remainings. Imagining what Roman people live like during those ancient time.

Sauna and changing room
Remember the big bath located in middle/centre of this place? That is sacred bath where its temperature can be up to 40+ degree.
Inside, we discover the commoner baths, pool, sauna and changing room. Although mostly are just ruins, we can be free to imagine it by our own. There's also video display for its plunge pool.
Before we came out of the place, there is also section where we can take the water and taste it, but I feel that's unhygienic so I didn't try. Outside building, I found unique cart only available around this area of Bath city.

Roman Belongings
Like us, Roman empire in United Kingdom also trade with money, for their case it was coins. Here's the display of what their daily live and tools used for survival. Be it the one who worked as guard or trade.
Everyone use coins to transact. Certain type of coins have certain values, all is well written in the description near display. Imagine if you are living in ancient time with old tools made from natural resources, without any technology around. Can be terrible, can also be enjoyable as long as there's no war, it should be fine. But here, social statuses still very distinct.

Roman Bath
Part of the worship ceremonial include scripture on concrete, coding which I can't read but there's description on it; the goddess of sun, and messages to their gods.
It's preserved and manage well, still in very good condition although writing is a bit off, and some parts are missing. At least there's sample to relate with. Guided tour or audio is better than walking around and read information because it's not so detailed, but to rent audio guide we need to pay. If you like history then maybe it's worth. If you are like me, just want to adore the artifects, better not.

Aquae Sulis
The whole town of Roman Bath is called Acquae Sulis including part of temple. This is artifects/remaining that come from.part of temple.
Some symbolic or Goddess and sculture represent sacred meaning. It was quite interesting and big place to discover. While seeing the information which is not so detailed, it made me think. What would the worship ceremonial be like? Who can enter the place and have right to do so?
Rich of history which is not something I like, but I love the detail from each artifects. Not informarion detail, but design. People who design this temple is quite artistic.

The Temple Courtyard
This part of Roman Bath is sacred area where there's temple used to be for gathering and worshipping Roman British goddess, Sulis Minerva.
The ruins and table of sacrifices to worship remain there. Sulis's head made of bronze is a symbollic of preciousness and sincerity that Romans display since it's very rare to find. Another one made of unique stone by special priest.
Very interesting and historical but too bad, I only enjoyed the artifects display and not the story. 😄

Roman Bath
Finally we came in to this Roman Bath! The building have few segments that has museum on it. I'm not really much into history, but I heard this used to be where Roman empire in UK took a bath from rain water. There were also rules apply as in who can took bath here. (no, it's not for us to go and dip in! although it's filled with water.)
There's miniature and details of building design, overall place and name of each segment. I'm amazed on how detail it is, until the small figure of men are also inside. It's quite cute and super hard to make for sure.
Besides, there are also some example of ruins which come from part of this building. Journey start here, more to discover inside!

Art Gallery @ Bath
Address: Bridge St, Bath BA2 4AT, United Kingdom
Chance upon a free art gallery where we can just enter and take a look around. The gallery is full of pictures and artifects that display kingdom in england. Historical, rich of cultures. Even some pictures depict one's property. UK is unique because they were ruled by kings and queens; and there are many castles and kingdoms. Each family has their own name and status, therefore you may found some property and historical subject owned by British family but displayed in museum or art place.

Bath Abbey
The beautiful old church near Roman bath which is called Bath Abbey. It's parisan church under the church of England. Long history of Christianity, like in between catholicism and christianity.
It's not the main point though! I admire the building more than finding out its history because I'm not someone who like history, but I love arts and artitechture.
This church design is very old english style which capture my eyes from a far. There was also a homeless man sitting outside feeding the birds. Good momentum to capture indeed!

SPA option @ Bath
Bath is famous because of the Roman bath area where ancient people used to take a bath at. Here, there's option for us to experience ourself in the spa. However, the spa package is super expensive for us to just dip in hot/warm pool.
There are many counters from tour agencies which offer guided tour and such experience or package. Different agency has their own price and packages. However, price is just slightly different. It doesn't worth to spend on such experience because you can get it elsewhere not in UK and would take quite a long time to enjoy the spa; so rather than getting it, we chose to just go ahead and explore around.

Famous bridge @ Bath
Old bridge specially designed for Pulteney family in UK. Although it has been rebuilt, design remain same. It's very calming to see the current flows even though that came from the River Avon.
I stayed here quite long to enjoy beautiful view and surrounding area. The trees are green despite of cold season before winter approach. I had to wear 2 clothes and 1 jacket to keep me warm.
It wasn't as good as the pictures you can find on internet, but still a nice place to hang around. Less crowd because people will go to the Roman bath -literally bath- side instead of stopping by here.

Tea Break @ Bath
Address - Sally Lunn's
4 N Parade, Passage, Bath BA1 1NX, United Kingdom
The famous tea time served here where it's signature is bun and cake. This place is the oldest house bakery around Bath. It is unique in texture, between bread and cake but too sweet for me although there's a review saying it's not suppose to be very sweet. Guess sweetness is also subjective depending on person tastebud. I pair it up with english breakfast to balance and neutralize the sweetness. Perfect tea time while we were on break before exploring further. My sister, niece and I enjoy ambience here as if we are in someone's house.

Fashion Museum @ UK
Address - Assembly Rooms, Bennett St, Bath BA1 2QH, United Kingdom
Ambiance/Facilities - museum
Highlights - I love to see arts and culture although I hate history. This place is a fashion museum where there are many clothes on display, especially for women. People can also try out British fashion on display and take picture on it. Many designs available and I find it quite unique and elegant, mostly like the kingdom attire. Some may be used for british movie or show that require this modern+traditional modified clothes.

Aberdeen
Before I moved to London, went around the city first. Found this beautiful building that look like castle but actually it's not. Some part of it was still under construction, I didn't ask what building is that or look through it. Simply enjoy its beauty from outside as I have to move around.
Aberdeen is quite city, not so crowded and I prefer to be here than London. There's also horse ride I was surprised to discover. It felt like in a disney movie for a brief moment.
