Manhattan - Asia’s No 6 bar
📍1 Cuscaden Rd, Level 2 Regent Singapore, S249715
Manhattan is on the 6 in 2021 Asia’s 50 best bar list. It’s located on the level 2 of Hotel regent. Its decoration is also a typical hotel bar style, relatively high-end and elegant. The menu of this bar is very famous, with cocktails inspired by multiple celebrities. 🤴
It has a welcome drink, a small light cocktail, little bit sour. The free snack is popcorn, which is a little bit salty but so tasty. 🍿️ And on violet hour, it also serves a complimentary pastrami sandwich. A very small one but delicious as well.🥪
🥃SGCF signature: Midsummer Night, inspired by Coldplay – Yellow. It’s based on Gin, but I cannot taste it. The alcohol is hidden well. The drink has tomato taste, sweet and sour. The garnish is also a small sour tomato. 🍅
🍹LCW x SGCF: Grapes and Croissant, created by London Bar – Artesian. This is a strong drink, with strong alcohol smell but tastes lighter. And it has the taste of raisins.🍇
🍹3000 – I also ordered one of their normal cocktails, 3000 in the Robert Downey Jr. Chapter. It’s a warm drink, with cream on the top, has an Iron man icon on it. It has a strong taste of chocolate but also of strong alcohol. Guess love is both sweet and heavy. ❤️

The Elephant Room
📍20A Teck Lim Rd, S088391
It’s a cocktail bar inspired by Singapore’s Little India. Located also around outram park. It’s a little bit hard to find. 🐘There has a small elephant logo on the ground and go up to the stairs. The elephant room is on the middle of the stairs, there’s another restaurant on the top.
🇮🇳The bar is a typical Indian bar. The menu is highly connected to Indian culture, with lots of interesting spices in them. The bartenders are very kind. They would love to chat with me and introduce their drinks and store. They have a small welcome drink. No smell of alcohol, but a little bit spicy.
🥃SGCF signature: THICC. It’s based on Gin. Has Cardamom in it. The garnish is a white chocolate with curry on it. The bartender told me I should bite a chocolate then drink the cocktail.🍫 The cocktail is strong. That’s why I should bite the chocolate first. The taste is a little bit strange but novel, having these spices in the drink.
🍹LCW x SGCF: Nuts for Nuts, created by London’s bar Coupette. It’s based on Gin but can not even taste it. 🥜The taste of peanuts is strong and fragrant, with a little sour taste. The cocktail also is slightly thick just like peanuts. I would say, personally, it’s my favorite cocktail in my whole journey. It’s just so my type. 🥰

No Sleep Club - Asia’s No 8 bar
📍20 Keong Saik Rd., Singapore 089127
No Sleep Club is on the 8 in 2021 Asia’s 50 best bar list. A bar also located around outram park, where the great bars gather. It has its huge logo on the doorway, easy to find. I was sitting at the bar, watching the bartender making cocktails quickly. 🍾All the cocktails at the bar are all placed in uniform glass bottles with labels, which are neat and stylish. The bar serves coffee and food as well. The cocktails on the menu were not many and many of them are classic ones.
🥃SGCF signature: Martell Green Tea, inspired by one of their bartenders, who happens to be a talented musician. It’s based on cognac. It’s quite a strong drink but surprisingly harmonious. It tastes like very strong Umeshu. Sweet.
🥃LCW x SGCF: White Russian. It’s a cocktail coming from London’s bar Three Sheets's Cocktail. It tastes like a milk coffee, but not a strong coffee. ☕️It has candy sweet, a little bit like chocolate. And it has miso in it, which is quite interesting combination.

MO BAR- Asia’s No 45 bar
📍5 Raffles Ave, Singapore 039797
It’s a bar located at 4th level of Mandarin Oriental. 🏨 It’s on the 45 in 2021 Asia’s 50 best bar list. It also serves high tea, so might be full house even at daytime. Their menu is beautiful, all the cocktails are typed by cities. 🌃A city corresponds to a cocktail, and the shape of the moon is used to indicate the alcohol content. 🌔
🍹SGCF signature: Roaring City, inspired by “Summer is for Falling in Love” by Sophia Kang. It’s a Gin based cocktail, with Pineapple tepache. It’s sweet and easy to drink, doesn’t have rich alcohol taste. It tastes good but I think it’s a little bit bland.
🍸Sarimanok – city Lanao. It’s the most famous cocktail of MO bar because it’s so beautiful. It looks like a beautiful peacock but actually is a legendary bird of the Maranao people. The image is a rice paper floating on the cocktail. The cocktail is based on Rum and it tastes like mango juice with alcohol. 🥭Great and easy drink.
The bar will serve two free snacks with alcohol, one is bean and the other is mustard chip. 🥔 I truly love mustard chip. And though they are all busy during high tea time, they will introduce the cocktail to you when they serve them. Great service indeed.

Barbary Coast - Asia’s No 29 bar
📍16 N Canal Rd, S048828
Barbary Coast is on the 29 in 2021 Asia’s 50 best bar list. It’s the hardest bar to find I may say, cause it doesn’t have any signs, name, or address on the door. 🤣 I checked map and the pictures on the internet, and finally decide to walk in. And the humorous bartender asked, “Finding barbary coast? Then you find it!” It has 2 levels. Level 1 is called deadfall, which is more casual, and second floor is Ballroom, which would be fancier. So when you see the DF sign around the corner, then you find it. 🤩
🍹SGCF signature: Jamaican Me Horny, inspired by the dancehalls found in Jamaica and the Caribbean. It’s based on whisky and has the sweet and sourness of fruits. Balance and refreshing. A very great drink.
🎄Christmas Drink: By the time I went there, it already began its Christmas celebration. New cups, festival decorations, and a complete Christmas menu. So I tried one Christmas drink as well. I chose Hallelujah hot chocolate, which is a hot drink with hot chocolate, spirit (can choose Bourbon, Rum or Tequila) and marshmallows. 🍫But the bartender was too generous to put too much Rum in it, making it a little bit bitter lol. But that was fine for me. No need to have hot drink in Singapore though, just to feel a real Christmas.
It’s a chilled place and the bartender was funny and passionate. Heard a guy passing by and asked if they served coffee, and the bartender answered that we have espresso martini if you like. 😆 He gave me an extra small Christmas drink and showed me the way when I was leaving. So great to have a drink here. I sit on the deadfall this time, would try the second floor next time.

SKAI Bar– Bar at 70 level
📍2 Stamford Road, Level 70, Swissôtel, The Stamford, s178882
SKAI Bar is located beside raffles city at city hall mrt station. It’s on the 70 level of Swissôtel. But as now the hotel is used for SHN, we could only enter from the door beside the hotel. Please note SKAI bar is a different outlet from SKAI restaurant. Was a little bit confused when I saw the full house SKAI restaurant lol. 🤧
The SKAI bar is not so large, with not a lot table, and it’s only open on Friday and Saturday. So better make a reservation before you go. 🏙The view beside the window is amazing, as you can imagine, just like look at the whole city from the sky.
🍹SGCF signature: Beyond the SKAI, inspired by “A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay. It’s truly a beautiful drink, with purple color and a yellow mark, beautiful as the sky. 🌠Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of Bombay Sapphire. But the bar is the only one I went that would give us an introduction paper of the signature.

Anti:Dote – Bar at Fairmont
📍80 Bras Basah Rd, Level 1, Fairmont, S189560
Anti:Dote is a bar at first floor of Fairmont Hotel. It’s usually full house all day as it also serves high tea at afternoon, and I think that’s why most girls come here for. 🍰It’s beautiful jewelry box high tea, saw lots of it when I had my drink. So better make a reservation in advance.
🍹SGCF signature: Summer Beauty, inspired by “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles. It’s based on Japan whisky. It’s refreshing, with those sweet and sourness of fruits, though doesn’t have strong watermelon taste. It’s a great juicy drink that perfectly suits summer, as well as Singapore, the city with all-year summer.🍉
It’s a typical hotel bar besides, with great service, maybe we could try the popular high tea next time.🤣

Portman’s Bar - Hotel Lobby Bar
📍6 Raffles Boulevard Level 4, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, S039594
It’s a lobby bar on level 4 of the hotel. Like other lobby bars, it also serves high tea and other food. And it has promotion almost every day. I went on Thursday when they had a special promotion every Thursday during cocktail festival. 🍹With every SGCF Signature Cocktail order, you could top up $10++ for Half Dozen Oysters 🦪and a Bombay Art Martini. It’s quite a bargain.
🍹SGCF signature: Live Free, inspired by "Beautiful People" by Ed Sheeran. It’s a beautiful purple drink, based on Bombay Sapphire, has a strong taste of juniper berries and sourness.
Bombay Art Martini: A small Martini based on Bombay. It has some chocolate on the glass so it can neutralize the taste of strong alcohol a little bit.
Honestly speaking, I’m not a fan of Bombay so it’s hard to say I like the two drinks. But I do love their oysters. 🥰Their oyster promotion is not only for the festival. Every Thursday with every purchase of alcohol, we could get half dozen oysters at $10++. Besides, their service is great, too.

Tess Bar & Kitchen
📍38 Seah St, S188394
It’s a small bar located around raffles hotel. It also serves food and coffee. The inside of the store is decorated with wood, looks warm and comfortable, more like a cafe than a bar.☕️
🍹SGCF signature: Bring Me Home, inspired by the famous song “Take Me Home, Country Roads”. It’s based on Gin but couldn’t taste much of it. On top of the cocktail is some sweet creamy foam. The taste of it is just like a lychee Yakult, very sweet and tasty. I believe that’s what home tastes like. Sweet home, no harm at all. 🥰
In general, this is a surprise bar on my SGCF journey, which looks inconspicuous, but has the great cocktails.

Mr Stork – Bar at Andaz Hotel
📍5 Fraser St, Level 39, Andaz 189354
It’s an open-air bar at level 39 of Andaz hotel, with the best city view as you can imagine. It would be perfect place for girls to take cute photos on a great weather.☀️
🍹SGCF signature: AXL’s Julep, inspired by the song “Welcome to the Jungle”. It’s a cocktail based on Whiskey, but it doesn't have a strong smoky taste. It has some berry flavor, a little sweet. The bright red color is very suitable for a sunny weather, and it also matches the beautiful view of the bar.
Their cocktail is good, and the service is even better. Their other normal cocktails are $25++, 💰serving some snacks and dessert as well. Recommended for those who want a perfect environment for a glass of drink and casual snacks.👏

The Old Man Singapore - Asia’s No 42 bar
📍55 Keong Saik Rd., #01-04 S089158
The Old Man Singapore is on the 42 in 2021 Asia’s 50 best bar list. It’s truly a great bar, the first branch was at Hong Kong, also on the No 54.🇭🇰 The bar is inspired by Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea”, and the menu is inspired by his experiences.
It’s also a bar hard to locate as it has no logo, no name on the door and the doors on that streets all look same. 😕So you’d better check the house number 01-04 on the door. (p5) The decoration of the store is dim and minimal, with a strong aroma, a little bit Japanese style I think. Even their glasses are light and thin. 🥂
🥃SGCF signature: Back to Black, inspired by AC/DC’s “Back in Black”. It’s based on whisky but the alcohol is hidden well. The drink tastes a little bit like candy.🍬 I believe that’s the taste of Umeshu in it.
I also ordered one of their classic cocktails, also a suitable drink for Christmas as it’s all green – Death in the Afternoon.🎄 It’s a rather light drink. It has coco-pandan yogurt in it and the there’s a rich pandan bakery taste. This cake-like fragrance made me so comfortable. 🥰And it also a little bit sour and sweet.

🇸🇬Live Twice - Great bar
📍20 Bukit Pasoh Rd, S089834
Live Twice is a Japanese style bar, a brand of jigger & pony. 🍵 It’s located around Outram Park MRT, where great bars gathered. It’s shared the same entry of a glass door with another great bar - Gibson. The place is rather small, with only a few tables.
🍹SGCF signature: Pear Kaikan Fizz, inspired by Ringo Sheena's song, "Marunouchi Sadistic”. It’s also a typical Japanese cocktail, based on Japanese Gin – Roku. It has a flavor of Yakult. I believe it’s because it has Hokkaido milk in it. 🥛The taste of milk neutralizes the bitterness of the alcohol, making it easy to drink. It also provides individually packaged snack for free, which is both clean and tasty.

The secret mermaid
📍10 Collyer Quay, B1-09, Ocean Financial Centre, 049315
The secret mermaid is located around raffles place mrt station, hidden in the B1. A bar in the basement floor is rarely seen, and the store is separated by a door, and the decoration inside is also dim and mysterious.🌒Has a huge closet of spirit bottles, like a bookcase.
🍹SGCF signature: California Dreamin', inspired by the song of the same name. It’s one of my favorite songs, and that’s basically why I came here. 🎵 It’s an orange drink, exactly what California dreaming looks like in my imagination. It’s based on cognac, with black tea in it. But strangely as a fan of brandy and tea, I don’t think it’s good enough. But they give fried potato snack for free, which is quite tasty! 🥔
In general, drinking in such an environment is a very special and great experience.🤩
