Check out the Wuhan Art Museum in Hankou 🖼🎨
If you’re in Wuhan in the Hankou area check out the Wuhan Art Museum
It’s a nice way to cool down or warm up after walking around the area.
Admission is free but you need to bring identification. As a non native I didn’t have my passport but had a copy on my phone to present at entry.
The museum had exhibits, calligraphy and more. I spent about an hour going through the different exhibitions.
#wuhan #wuhantravel #WuhanArtMuseum
Next Station Is…….
Wuhan Hankou Railway Station
This landmark of Wuhan particularly stands out because of the unique architecture. I didn’t expect a railway station to have this kind of appearance but then again Wuhan gave me lots of surprises especially with its beautiful buildings even though most of the are old but still hold an appeal . There’s malls and restaurants around the area but put in mind the traffic is quite heavy close to the station .#wuhan #wuhantravel #urbanexplorer
I went to see Buddha
The temple was founded by Longxi in the third year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the QingDynasty. The temple covers an area of nearly 30000 square meters and the construction area is nearly 8000 square meters. The temple combines the characteristics of Eurasian religious architecture and
integrates the three major Buddhist schools of Mahayana Hinayana and Tibetan Tantric. It is known as"one of the wonders of a Buddhist resort and the first wonder of a Buddhist temple in the Han Dynasty.
The architectural style of Gude Temple is pretty unique . Most tourists go there to pray and pay their respects . Experiencing the Buddhist religion as well as seeing monks go about their daily life was worth it . I got to see a different aspect of religion
No need to buy tickets to enter and you can stay about half an hour to tour around .

Magical area- Yellow Crane Tower 🗼🗼🗼
This historical tower is hot spot for tourists in Wuhan.
The current building was built in 1980-85 years but original layout has knows ancient drawings.
The Tower has 5 floors which you really need to climb around the building but you absolutely will not feel tired. With each floor you will discover more and more breathtaking view to the city.
I really like the mystical- magical story behind this area which you can find out on the spot 😛😛😛

Short way to the Yellow Crane Tower
During my first visit to Wuhan my friend showed me the shortest way to the Yellow Crane Tower.
There is no any line of people buying tickets and it takes only 10 minutes to get to the main scientific area.
This entrance has very beautiful traditional Chinese gardens with the lake in the middle. All area is surrounded by printed information about history where you can listen to locas telling you the story of that place.

Street of lights in Wuhan 🏮🏮🏮
The entrance is decorated with hundreds of small planets and small lights representing stars and our universe. A lot of shops, nail salons and qipao stores inviting travelers to join the long walk together with nice music and chill evening. Buildings are decorated nicely in Italian, German and Spanish styles. All this street is introducing the western life and shopping as if you were visiting West Europe.

Cherry-Blossom in Wuhan University
Spring time - Cherry blossom time. One of the most beautiful spring cherry blossom 🌸 I saw in China was in Wuhan university.
Wuhan university is one of the oldest universities in Wuhan and China and in the middle of the city. The cherry flowers matches the hundred-year-old buildings on campus. Pink and white flower petals decorate the red windows and green upper tiles.
🎟️ It's for free, but you might have to register before, as it's quite popular and well known in Wuhan and Hubei province.
🌸 When? March and April every year.

European vibes in China
When people think of Wuhan, they think of Covid so on my trip there I wanted to see what the city really had to offer. I found Europe, so many parts with Spain or German influence around in Wuhan. I visited this temple on a whim and with standard China temple thoughts in mind.
It’s free to enter, but you must wear a mask and show a health code. At the gate you will meet some locals who look after the area, in particular the plants. You can also donate money as you first enter if you wish.
The temple area isn’t huge but it does give Cathedral vibes. You can walk around inside the 2 buildings but you’ll also find many other people there to take photos. I went in the morning and it was pretty quiet and empty.
I took a taxi from my hotel over in Jiang’an area to Gude Temple and it took roughly 10 minutes to arrive.

Picturesque ambiance
Still fresh in the memories the picturesque beauty of Wuhan university🏛️. Considered as one of the top 985/211 university, I would include this in the top 3 ranking of my personal favorite; for the whole environment of the campus. Flanked one side by the mountain 🏞️ and the other side by East lake (yes, they have 东湖 here). Running 🏃 around the campus everyday, will by itself make you fit and then get back to study. Lot of rented cycles 🚴 are also available inside for your perusal. Feel free to go, hike 🥾 and interact with the students and people working there; it was really nice to talk to them about everyday living in there. Definitely a go to place, if you're visiting Wuhan in the near future. #wuhantravel

The crane tower
Part of my little circular tour across Anhui and Hubei province, has led me to this Taoist temple🛕. At the entrance of this temple you can already see two cranes 🦢 standing close to each other. It has an interesting story, where a Taoist priest came to the house and asked for some wine. As over the time the priest has had paid a regular visit, he decided to gift the kid with two cranes that can dance🎠 as per his wish. But over the centuries, this has lost the original structure and used for various purposes like watch post 🕯️, with leisure activities. We started hiking from the down and go up & up. It has nice steps and lot of people will be climbing over. The view from the top (I guess 5th floor) is quite amazing; as it shows the entire map 🗺️ of the building and the city too. #towerhike #wuhantravel
