Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden: Magnolia and Cherry Blossom Festival
I visited Shanghai's Chenshan Botanical Garden in March, where a row of magnolia trees was planted right at the entrance. It was the blooming season, and the flowers complemented the river's bay scenery beautifully! The first thing I saw upon entering the garden was a relatively short cherry blossom tree, which allowed for close-up photos with the cherry blossoms without the need for a ladder📷. We could spend nearly an hour admiring just one cherry blossom tree, and it was hard to leave!
Garden Transportation: There are golf carts available in the park for only 5 yuan per person
Passengers must get off at the terminal stations (A, B). The route arrangements are as follows:
A line: Starting from Gate 1 Comprehensive Building — Children's Botanical Garden Station — Quarry Garden Station — Rock Garden Station — Exhibition Greenhouse Terminal Station
B line: Exhibition Greenhouse Station — East China Area Garden Station — Aquatic Plant Garden Station — Gate 1 Comprehensive Building Terminal Station.
Best Cherry Blossom Viewing in Shanghai: Chenshan Botanical Garden
🌟 Must-visit spots:
1. The Lonely Tree: 🌳 Located near Gate 3, you'll see a hill slope right upon entering, very easy to find!
2. Quarry Garden: On the day of my visit, it was just a deep pit with a large lake, no waterfall, what a pity~ Be careful for your safety⚠️
3. Inside Chenshan Botanical Garden, right after entering the main gate, there is a cherry blossom forest, neatly lined up along the roadside.
4. Ferry Pier, next to the 'Hydrangea Garden'. Enter from Gate 1, go straight without turning right, cross two bridges and you'll see it, a few trees around a ferry point. In fact, the cherry trees are quite spread out, and the best spots are often occupied by people filming. It's recommended to just pass by, no need to go out of your way to find them.
Transportation:
Take Metro Line 9 to 'Dongjing' station, exit from Exit 3, walk 300 meters north along Jiasong South Road, turn onto Shen Zhuan Highway and walk 200 meters east, then take the Songzhu Special Line bus from 'Tangqiao' bus station to 'Shekun Road' station to reach Gate 2 of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden.
4. Take Metro Line 9 to 'Dongjing' station, cross the road, and take the Sheshan Tourist Resort green free shuttle bus to reach Gates 1 and 3 of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden.
A Splendid Feast After Work
After work, I felt like having some sashimi. Unfortunately, all the Taikoo branches in the Kowloon area were full, but luckily, there was a spot available at the Causeway Bay branch for the 7:45 pm seating!
My friend arrived early to secure a spot, order food, and wait for me. The price was just $298. When I got there, the place was packed. Taikoo is truly deserving of being counted among Hong Kong's successful restaurants, as every branch is filled with customers during dinner time. Plus, the restaurant recently updated its menu, offering a wider selection of food, which surely attracts more patrons!
The buffet area includes a salad bar, fruit bar, dessert cabinet, beverage cabinet, and a selection of hot and cold drinks, including sake. The seafood section features mussels, large clams, big prawns, and there are also hot soups and sweet desserts!
The sashimi is thickly sliced, with must-try items like salmon, yellowtail, tuna, scallops, and sweet shrimp—all fresh and succulent. The thinly sliced kingfish is also a must-eat. Sashimi is always the highlight of the all-you-can-eat menu, and you'll definitely want to go for at least two rounds. There are also toro and sea urchin hand rolls, small but packed with flavor.
I tried the sushi this time and was surprised by the high quality. The 'Love of Flowers', scallops, sea urchin toro, and sweet shrimp salad are all small and easy to eat.
For grilled items, the grilled oysters are a must-try. I ordered half a dozen and particularly enjoyed the fried garlic on top—very flavorful. The oysters are large and juicy. The grilled beef tongue is refreshing, the grilled eel is rich, and the tempura is crispy. The flower mushroom and abalone with Chinese wine are dishes that make the meal worth the price, not to be missed! Stir-fried eel with spring onions, grilled flounder with Saikyo miso, grilled pineapple, and chicken cartilage are all my favorites.
The grilled durian was a pleasant surprise, large and sweetly creamy, even better than buying durian to eat on my own. I had a few pieces to satisfy my craving for durian.
Finally, I had two rounds of crab meat with pea shoots to aid digestion. Topping it off with bird's nest egg white ice cream, I was thoroughly satisfied. I still think that for a price of just over $300, getting to eat so much is a real bargain. At this price, you might not get full at a Japanese restaurant.

Popular Chinese Restaurant in Sham Shui Po Serves Tasty Stir-fry and Dim Sum Dishes.
Always bustling with people, this Chinese restaurant is a favorite among the locals, and it truly offers some pleasant surprises. We visited for lunch on the weekend and were lucky to have made a reservation in advance; otherwise, we would have had to wait in line. In addition to stir-fried noodles and rice dishes, they also serve a variety of dim sum.
Crispy Pork with Fresh Fruit in Sweet and Sour Sauce $128
The signature sweet and sour pork is exceptionally well-made. Starting with the sauce, it has the perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors and even achieves a stringy effect. The pork's crispy exterior is perfectly coated with the sauce, and the meat is tender with just the right amount of fat, quickly disappearing from the plate.
Crispy Noodles with Bean Sprouts and Shredded Pork $88
The noodles are fried to a golden crisp and are incredibly fragrant. A nice touch is that the bean sprouts and shredded pork are served in a separate bowl, keeping the noodles crispy.
Seafood and Vegetable Vermicelli Pot $108
The vegetable pot is quite large and worth the price, containing large dried shrimp, squid, shrimp, and other seafood.
There's also a good selection of dim sum, including savory dumplings, pan-fried chive dumplings, walnut buns, pork trotters with fermented bean curd, and barbecued pork rolls. The overall quality of the dim sum is quite good, and everything is served hot. The walnut bun is particularly eye-catching, with chunks of walnuts inside and not too sweet. Barbecued pork rolls are a rarity these days and have a nostalgic charm.

Precious & Jussive | Travel Popular Queue-up Bagel Shop
If you like bagels or are looking for a place to have breakfast, give this a try, but be prepared to queue for over an hour. The shop mainly serves bagels and bagel sandwiches, along with thick soups and various flavors of cream cheese spreads, most of which are suitable for vegetarians.
There are several branches of London Bagels in Seoul, with the Anguk Station branch being the most crowded. If you arrive after 9:00, expect to wait for more than 2 hours, so it's recommended to visit the Gangnam branch where it's less crowded.
If you decide to queue at this branch, you can pick up a number on-site starting at 7:30, scan a QR code, and follow the instructions to enter your information. You'll then be able to see your queue position in real-time. There are actually many other coffee shops nearby, or you could visit the Hanok Village for photos and return to the shop when your number is down to single digits.
You can also reserve a spot online using the Catch Table APP, but online reservations are only available from Monday to Thursday between 09:00-13:00. You can book in advance from your hotel and then go to eat at your reserved time.
Both dine-in and takeout require queuing, with takeout also having a wait time of nearly an hour.
For dine-in, after being seated, you'll still need to queue to purchase bagels. It's common to buy extra bagels for takeout, which can be taken back to Hong Kong for breakfast if you visit during the last one or two days of your trip.
You make your own bagel and bagel sandwiches, with plain ones starting at 4,700 won. I bought Garlic oil, tomato basil, and basil to eat at home. The flavors are rich, and garlic lovers must try the Garlic oil. Note that the bagels here are softer in texture, not the chewy New York style.
Spring Onion Pretzel Bagel 8,500 won
This is a popular choice, essentially a bagel with a thick layer of cream cheese. The spring onions seem to be more for decoration and presentation, as there isn't a strong onion flavor when eaten. For dine-in, it's usually served with thick soup or a cup of coffee. The soup has good reviews online, but I find the coffee to be just average.
Finally Got to Enjoy the Great Satisfaction of Dining at Tenkai House
I had booked a month in advance to try Tenkai House, and today was finally the day! However, due to the crowd, I could only book the 8:30 slot! Upon arrival, the entrance was already packed with people waiting to get in, and of course, the inside was fully occupied with diners.
The self-service area is right at the entrance, with a wide range of drinks available, both hot and cold, homemade beverages, and even alcoholic drinks, with dozens of options.
There are appetizers, seafood, hot dishes, dim sum, fruits, and more to choose from before the meal. The highlights include smoked salmon, smoked duck breast, and dried sausages.
Before the sashimi was served, I had already tried chicken feet, duck kidneys, fish skin, snail meat, steamed fish, fried items, drunken abalone with Huadiao wine, and the must-try Hokkaido sea urchin sushi! It's worth mentioning that all the sea urchin here comes from Hokkaido, and it's definitely worth having a few more pieces!
The sashimi is as always thickly cut and fresh. Salmon, yellowtail, tuna, red shrimp, sweet shrimp, scallops, ark shell, and red clam are all rich and sweet. Coming here, you can truly enjoy the freedom of sashimi!
A special recommendation is the grilled oysters; each oyster at this branch is as big as a palm, plump and juicy, with plenty of crispy fried garlic on top. We ordered two dozen without any missing, and they were quickly devoured.
The thick grilled goose liver is also a highlight and a must-try! Eel, pineapple, beef tongue, and lobster with Yimen noodles are also must-tries. Basically, after eating all of the above once, you're already 80% full. For the remaining time, I suggest an encore of your favorite items!
Scallop with pea shoots, supreme fish maw, signature pigeon king, grilled codfish, and more are all outstanding, with flavors that match those of outside Chinese restaurants!
Our main encores were grilled oysters, beef tongue, sea urchin sushi, and sashimi! The main focus of the sashimi encore was toro, and the second serving of toro was mostly medium toro, all pink in color, each piece very rich and melt-in-your-mouth. After finishing this plate of toro, I was truly greatly satisfied.
Finally, for dessert, there was an array of ice creams, ice pops, and homemade sweets. Cheesecake, yogurt, mango pomelo sago, coconut pandan cake, sawdust pudding, macarons, and the special mousse cake from this branch were all available~ But my favorite was definitely the coconut stewed bird's nest and durian puree. No need to spit out seeds, just enjoy the flesh, it's really the best~
This branch is spacious and comfortable, with wide seating, often visited by groups for gatherings. If you've tried other Tenkai House branches, consider trying this one as well!!!

Checking in at a special Taiwanese cuisine restaurant with a sea view.
Must-try – Oreo Grandma Mochi
The mochi has a round appearance, and once you bite into it, it's chewy and cool, filled with a rich milky flavor. Dipping it into a generous amount of crushed Oreos, it's a big hit with the kids😍
Signature Braised Pork Rice
The dish is visually appealing, with the braised pork evenly spread over the rice. The taste is tender and juicy, with a rich and slightly sweet sauce that becomes more flavorful with each bite.
Three-Flavor Taiwanese Sausage
There are three flavors: squid ink, black pepper, and honey. Sliced thinly, they are fragrant and crispy with a bit of chewiness, exuding a delightful aroma.
Dan Dan Beef Noodles
Made with shank meat, cooked until perfectly flavored, the texture is soft and tender. The soup base is rich and aromatic, with a hint of spiciness and sweetness. You can choose between shaved noodles or Taiwanese wide noodles; I opted for the wide noodles that absorb the soup well, offering a chewy and flavorful bite👍

Popular Izakaya Donburi in Tsim Sha Tsui: Affordable and High Quality.
Tsim Sha Tsui's Mody Road has always been a hotspot for Japanese cuisine, and it's conveniently located near K11. This Japanese restaurant is currently offering a Sunday to Thursday reservation discount, where two people spending over $500 can enjoy a 20% discount, which is a great deal.
Seared Tuna Salad $118
We started with a salad to whet our appetite. The salad greens were fresh, topped with seared, semi-raw tuna.
Black Truffle Salmon Roe and Scallop Roll $158
We also ordered this roll, which featured tender scallop sashimi, black truffle sauce, and salmon roe on top, with avocado and cucumber rolled inside. It had a rich texture and a delightful black truffle aroma.
Tempura Moriawase Box $128
The box included shrimp, as well as fish fillets, okra, eggplant, pumpkin, and sweet potato vegetables. The tempura batter wasn't too thick, making it crispy and not too greasy.
Thick Beef Tongue Skewers $58
The thick-cut beef tongue was chewy and flavorful, with just the right seasoning.
Dengaku Grilled Tofu $32
I recommend the dengaku tofu skewers, which were hot and tender, with a distinctive dengaku sauce that was full of flavor.
Ultimate Seafood Donburi $308
Of course, we couldn't miss out on a donburi. We chose the Ultimate Seafood Donburi, which included large fatty tuna, botan shrimp, large crab claws, grilled abalone, sea urchin, red snapper, deep-sea sweetfish, oilfish, salmon roe, and scallion tuna paste. It was incredibly satisfying with evenly marbled fatty tuna that melted in the mouth, smooth and flavorful sea urchin, well-seasoned grilled abalone, and other fresh sashimi.

Day 1
> Visit the Donald Duck Exhibition at Grand Lisboa
Donald Duck is 90 years old! As a fan, how could I miss this?
There are so many photo spots inside, including a huge Donald Duck wall, and even Donald Duck's butt.
There's also a souvenir shop where I immediately bought a Macau-exclusive amulet and a blind box keychain.
Day 2
> Hidden coffee shop in the old town - Brew Message
Selling point: Bottle latte. Who would have thought you could drink Latte from a bottle?
The taste is the same as a regular Latte, but it's special because of its uniqueness. See the photo for details.
> Harry Potter Exhibition @ The Londoner
The second main highlight of this trip is this exhibition. There are many photo spots inside, and the whole experience is very fun with lots of interactive elements. Tickets can be purchased on Trip.com, and timed-entry tickets are only around HKD 240.
The exhibition displays many movie costumes, books, magic wands, etc. Definitely worth a visit.
Hotel: Studio City Macau W Hotel
This hotel is highly recommended, having stayed in several Macau hotels, it offers the best value for money. The price is about 900 to 1,000, which I think is quite worth it. The bed is of moderate firmness, and the bathroom is beautiful.
Hong Kong Island Korean Vegetarian-Friendly Convenience
Who would have thought this hot dog shop would have vegetarian options?! Of course, it's just ovo-lacto vegetarian convenience, but having rice, glass noodles, and rice rolls is not bad at all. If you like savory flavors and cheese, you can also try the sinful cheese pull fried hot dog!
Near Tin Hau MTR station, just a minute's walk to this Food Court, there are several small shops inside, two or three of which have vegetarian options. This time I came to eat at the Korean fried hot dog shop near the entrance, and they also have rice and Gimbab among other foods. The vegetarian options are not very many, and the circled ones in the picture are the meat-free convenience choices.
Potato Cheese Hotdog HK$36
The hot dog comes in both salty and sweet flavors, and you can also choose one without sausage. Without the sausage, it's filled with cheese pull, and this one also has fried potatoes added, making it doubly hot and truly delicious. I never thought such an evil combination could be so interesting to eat once in a while.
Cheese Gimbab HK$45
At first, I thought the vegetable Gimbab was vegetarian, but after asking the staff, I found out it contains fish cake. On the other hand, the cheese version doesn't have fish and can be made vegetarian, and it tastes quite good too.
Bibimbab HK$58 (No Beef)
Korean Bibimbab originally comes with beef, but vegetarians can opt out of it, and it's still rich without it, allowing you to eat a variety of colored vegetables at once. The top right corner is Korean spicy soybean paste, which makes the rice very appetizing.
Stir-Fried Noodles HK$20
Korean stir-fried glass noodles are originally meat-free, and they smell wonderfully of sesame oil. They contain slices of mushrooms, black fungus, etc., and are quite delicious with a sweet taste.
Limited-Time Flavored Ice Cream
The Australian sensation has hit Hong Kong! Australian soft serve brand Cone S has announced the opening of its first store in Causeway Bay. Cone S specializes in handmade soft serve ice cream. To ensure the quality of the ice cream, the store exclusively uses top-notch Italian ice cream machines, European dairy, and custom-made Italian ice cream powder 💯
Moreover, there are Hong Kong exclusive flavors, like this Durian King ice cream, which just became available on the 1st. There's also Hazelnut Chocolate 🍫
If you want to mix two flavors, you can only choose Sea Salt + Hazelnut Chocolate 🍫
The signature flavor of the store is Sea Salt ice cream, with a stunning blue color. Each cup of ice cream can be topped with classic cotton candy clouds, popping candy, grilled Pocky cotton candy, and popcorn among other toppings. The shop is small, but they've meticulously created a photo spot for customers 😎
Looking forward to the next new flavor❣️

Must-Try Evil Chicago Pizza and Fish-Flavored Green Pepper Fried Chicken
I usually go to the branch in Causeway Bay because it's more convenient for me to eat there after work. As Christmas is approaching, there are so many things to take pictures of in Harbour City, so of course, I took the opportunity to eat here. To my surprise, they have a sea view, and the environment is very beautiful. The quality of the food is the same, the Chicago pizza is unbeatable, and it's a must-try at every table. In addition, I especially recommend the fish-flavored green pepper fried chicken. The fried chicken is very crispy, and with the salty flavor of the fish, six pieces are not enough 😂

Old Rice Shop.
The newly opened Zhaoxin Huijin Plaza on January 18th has several restaurants that are not the usual familiar large chain stores. Of course, Nayuki and Luckin Coffee are also here 😄
I also had my first drink of the Dragon year there, the Moutai Chocolate is super delicious, but please note that it is clearly marked as zero coffee, so don't expect to try chocolate coffee 😂
Additionally, I chose an old rice shop to eat a big fish head, this meal is very cost-effective at ¥139, because just the fish head alone is ¥88 if ordered separately.
¥139 Fish Head Set Meal
👉🏻 Sichuan Pepper Reservoir Fish Head - Super large and meaty 👍🏻
👉🏻 Fish Head with Noodles - Very smooth 👍🏻
👉🏻 Wuchang Rice - Top-grade rice for Shenzhen
👉🏻 Stir-fried Yellow Beef - Another great dish to accompany rice
👉🏻 Hunan White Squash - Sweet and refreshing
👉🏻 Appetizers before the meal
👉🏻 Tea charge
👉🏻 Napkins
If you feel it's not enough, you can also order a ¥18 white rice, and they give you a whole rice cooker to eat as much as you want 😂
💥Special mention, if you are crossing the border at Luohu, you can go to the bus station, where there are signs along the way to guide you to the free shuttle bus. After eating, just across the street is Dongmen, which is very convenient 🥳
However, pay attention to the bus schedule, there is a bus every 30 minutes, and there is no free shuttle bus from 14:00 to 16:00. If you come during this time, you will have to take the subway Line 1 to Old Street C and cross the overpass to the other side 😃

Parfait at the cafe Afternoon Tea / Tea Room
Parfait at the cafe [Afternoon Tea / Tea Room] in the Keio Department Store in Shinjuku, Tokyo 🎵
Seasonal ~?
"Mont Blanc parfait of astringent chestnut and apple" ✨ 1500yen with drink set
Ah ... You can tell that it's delicious just by its name! 🤣💕
Luxuriously using apples compote with sweet cinnamon flavor and two kinds of chestnuts, caramelized sweet potatoes and apple jelly are squeaky in the bowl ~ 🤤🎵
I've already packed all the little autumn, but Nanika? !! I really like this ~ (// ∇ //) 💕🍠🌰🍎✨
And I ordered the limited sweet potato 🍰 together ~ 🎵
I visited this day after noon on weekdays after the 3rd consecutive holidays, but it was crowded with madams as far as I could see, "Are? Maybe it was 4 consecutive holidays? 💦", and I lined up outside for about 5 minutes. I was guided to your seat.
The inside of the store is based on white and it's already like Melhaen 🥺✨ It's only table seats, but the space between the seats is wide so you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea w
However, since it is lunchtime, the clerk seems to be quite busy and it will take a long time to provide this ~ ('` :) I was prepared from many years of experience, but the clerk while waiting "Sorry (> _ <) Pecoli ~ 💦" twice
I was so surprised that I was able to bow my head and I was afraid ~ 💦
(I was impressed that the attention to the customers was perfect and it was a stone's throw ~ 🥺)
And after it was called Douzo 🎵, parfait and cake were lined up on the table.
(// ∇ //) Hehe ~ 💕 Maybe with a disgusting smile 📷 ✨ When I was sitting next to me, I was sitting next to a lady who enjoyed afternoon tea. Do you like it ~? "
Tetoku "No ~ Both look delicious ~ 😳💕"
Lady "Oh, that's right ~ 😊"
"Ehehe ~ (^^) 💦" & "Ohoho ~ 😊"
I had a conversation for a while ~ w
I'm always enjoying it secretly with no sign, but this time it was Tetoku who deeply regretted that it was a little too floating and conspicuous ~ 😳💦
It was a treat ~ 😋🎵
Thank you for always watching until the end ~ 🥺💕
