Cherry Blossoms, Tulips and Royal Views: St James’s Park in Spring
Spring in London? There’s one place that completely stole my heart this April — St James’s Park. Imagine cherry blossoms dancing in the breeze, flower beds bursting in technicolor, and royal views all in one place. Yes please!
🌸 I went for a morning walk, and I swear, it felt like stepping into a storybook. The park was glowing with sunshine, the tulips were standing tall in all their glory, and the cherry blossoms? Absolutely showing off.
The real showstopper though? Standing on the Blue Bridge with a perfect view of Buckingham Palace on one side and the London Eye on the other — surrounded by flowers, water, and flocks of birds. It's the spot for photos, trust me.
And did I mention the pelicans?! They've lived here since the 1600s and still steal the scene like seasoned celebrities.
🌷My Top Tips for Visiting St James’s Park in April:
- Go early: The morning light is soft, the crowds are light, and the blossoms look even dreamier.
- Photo ops: The flower beds near Buckingham Palace are Instagram gold.
- Nearest stations: St. James’s Park (easy walk) or Westminster if you want a scenic route.
- What to bring: A light jacket, comfy shoes, and a camera — you’ll use it a lot.
- Don’t miss: The pelican feeding (usually around 2:30 pm!) near Duck Island.
✨ Whether you're a flower lover, a royal watcher, or just in need of a peaceful city escape — St James’s Park in April is pure magic. I left with a camera full of photos and a big spring-in-my-step kind of smile.

Welcome to Kazakhstan🇰🇿
This is my first post in Trip.com and I would like to share my experience of traveling to Almaty region, Kazakhstan.
The 1st posture is taken in:
📍Address:Kolsay lake 🕰️Business Hours: the best time to visit is around 9:00-10:00 am at summer because it is quite busy after this time. Very beautiful lake in 3 hours drive from Almaty.
📍Address:Saty village : The best way to feel this area gorgeousness is to stay at the closest village Saty. Personally I have enjoyed Kolsay Eco house! It was new, clean and tidy. The third photo was shot there, from the backyard of guest house. We have tried the food in the village restaurants and as a Kazakh native I can say that it was not as tasty as in guest house.
📍Address:Kaiyndy lake: this lake name is literally means “birch” lake. As you can see there is trees in the water. This lake is placed in the remote area in the National park and the driving by yourself is hard unless you have a specially equipped truck that can pass through the couple of little rivers. Fortunately there is trucks in the Saty village. For around 30-40 USD for the whole truck (around 4-6 seats) you can buy their service.
That’s it for the first post! Stay tuned to know more about my trips and Kazakhstan)) Peace ✌️ #familytrip ##nature #localguides
🇭🇰 The Peak Galleria Viewing Terrace
The Peak Galleria is a retail and dining hub situated at the top of Victoria Peak in Hong Kong, just across from the Peak Tower. A highlight of the complex is its rooftop observation deck, which is open to the public for free and offers sweeping views of the Hong Kong skyline, Victoria Harbour, and nearby islands on a clear day. It's a great cost-free alternative to the nearby Sky Terrace 428, which charges an entry fee.

A Healing Escape at Beitou Hot Spring
#earthdayjourney #hotspring #nature #familytravel
My stay at the Beitou Hot Spring Museum was an incredible experience, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and natural healing. The architecture of the museum is a blend of traditional and colonial styles, providing a peaceful atmosphere that complements the healing properties of the natural hot springs.
What truly stood out during my visit was the opportunity to make use of the region's famed thermal waters. Beitou’s hot springs are rich in minerals, and soaking in the hot springs is not just a luxurious experience, but also offers numerous health benefits.
Note: The check in for this hotel is pretty late though, so gotta plan some activities to do before check in.

🇵🇭Holistic Sanctuary at The Farm at San Benito💙Must do!
#springwander
🇵🇭Pristine Philippines🇵🇭
We finally found our way to the Holistic Sanctuary after a few twists and turns.
It was actually nice getting to walk around and seeing the sun almost setting too, they have a lot of farm land here for crops, we got to see some of their farmers work around.
As we got to the Spa reception,
They had a therapist assigned to us,she guided and brought us to the Acqua Hydrotherapy Sanctuary spa to have our Aqua Pressure Pools treatment 💦
She explained that these were water pressure pools designed to massage different parts of our body such as the head, neck, upper and lower back and finally one where we lie down for whole body relaxation. We loved the high pressure water pool because it could massage our whole back and legs as moved and aimed at those parts, it felt good and relaxing afterwards👍
In the spa were also sauna cubicles, massage beds, steam rooms and other aqua pools that are available with other treatments.
Glad we had this treatment included on our stay because their treatments are very very expensive💲💲💲
After our treatment, we showered at their open-air shower room—yup you could literally see nature around you or your neighbor shower if you popped your head out a bit😂
Back at the reception, we were served some nice herbal tea, and before going back to our villa, we passed by the Aqua Bar where they served Vegan Cocktails which just means Mocktails 😂😂 then we saw a bit of the infinity pool which we will return to the next day❤️💦

Reflections of Tranquility: A Peaceful Stay by Lake Kawaguchi
#earthdayjourney #lakekawaguchi #conservation #nature
During my stay just outside Lake Kawaguchi, I was fortunate to experience a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature’s splendor. The view of Mount Fuji towering in the distance, reflected perfectly on the calm waters of the lake, was nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the lake, casting soft pink and gold hues on the water, felt like a moment frozen in time. It was the kind of beauty that words can barely capture.
Lake Kawaguchi, like so many natural wonders, is a precious resource, and visiting it reminded me of the delicate balance required to preserve it. The beauty of the lake and its surroundings is a reminder that nature’s resilience is something we must nurture. The tranquil waters, the vibrant colors of the forest, and the majesty of Mount Fuji all rely on the Earth’s careful balance, something we must safeguard against environmental threats like pollution and climate change.

A cute cafe
This is a nice cafe with some animals. Namely the sheep are adorable. We eventually left and I missed the place. It was amongst the most relaxing of experiences. Sheeps are kept outside the cafe in a separate enclosure. They were busy munching when I went there.
You don't need to pay any entrance fee, just need to order something at the cafe. Sheeps looked healthy and happy. The owners and staff are friendly and kind, The food is really delicious. To pet and watch the sheep, you have to at least eat or drink at the café.

Breathtaking Views Of The City Of Sails, Mount Eden In Auckland NZ
Mount Eden is an absolute must do if you’re in Auckland, no matter how short your trip is! Auckland has an iconic skyline and this is the best way to see it, especially at night! It is also a very important place for New Zealand and its Māori population, holding a spiritual place in the history of the city.
There are various entrances to the mount but some of them
Close early, around 6PM so if you want to drive check the times ahead. We parked on a nearby street and walked up the Mount, don’t underestimate it it doesn’t look as steep as it is.
Follow the signs to the top and make sure you stay on the paths, going into the hollow / crater of the Mount is very disrespectful to the history and Māori heritage.
The top of the Mount offers 360 views of the city and on a clear night you can see every part of Auckland with the city illuminated in the distance. In the daytime you can also see why the city gets its nickname as the city of sails, there are boats everywhere!
It’s a great spot for photos and there’s lots of space to just relax, but remember to take your trash with you or use the bins provided!

A Swim Like No Other, The Lakes In The Bay Of Plenty New Zealand
The bay of plenty in New Zealand is famous around the world for its stunning natural beauty, I spent a few days driving around this area and I was totally blown away. We drove from Turanagi to the coast and we followed the lakes along the way. There are many lakes and they all vary in size but they are all equally stunning.
The weather was amazing so we made sure we pulled up at the beach of every lake and went for a swim, I can’t even put into words how refreshing it is. The water is completely clear and clean, and the perfect temperature - the lakes stay shallow for a while and there is no current so they are safe to swim.
Many of the lakes have designated beaches with car parking, toilets, recycling facilities and places to clean your feet - something I love about New Zealand.
If you’re in this area I really advise planning some time taking in these lakes, especially if you love swimming! The only downside is there is very little shade so it’s hard if you burn easily or it’s really hot, avoid the hottest parts of the day.
And of course know your limits, if you’re not a strong swimmer please stay at the beach or in the shallow water!

Heaven On Earth At The Coromandel, North Island NZ
I recently took a trip to New Zealand and ended it with a roadtrip to the Coromandel - about 2.5 hours drive from Auckland.
We stayed in cooks beach and it has to be one of the most naturally beautiful places I’ve very seen, it had everything. It’s built along a stunning beach but it also has an inland estuary and river that flows inland from the beach. There’s also lots of hikes into the surrounding hills and forests along with winding roads to drive off and explore the interior.
The highlight for me was the estuary, it is calm enough to swim and is deep enough to snorkel and see local fish and even a few stingrays. You can also hire a kayak and pedal upstream and explore the various mangrove forests that help support the banks.
We also took a hike up the main hill to the west to reach the Shakespeare cliff lookout which offers stunning views of the surrounding area - well worth the walk! The walk is easy and there are signs along the way for the various routes.
You can also drive up as there is a small car park at the peak of the mountain ( along with a chemical long drop toilet)
There is a small strip of amenities in the town mainly a cafe, pub, grocery store and ice cream parlour. They are very small and get busy so things do run out, we stocked up at a supermarket for essentials before we arrived and that really helped us!
It’s an easy drive from Auckland but the roads do get busy on Friday / Sunday nights as people head there for the weekend.

The Infamous Set Of Lord Of The Rings, Mount Tongariro Pass
This is an absolute must visit if you are doing a trip around the north island of New Zealand, the Tongariro national park is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. It was the setting for a lot of the Lord of The rings Teiloft so it’s a very popular place, the filming location for mount doom. It comprises of a walk through the mountains, lakes and passes that make up the area.
We booked a trip but unfortunately due to the high winds the trip was cancelled, please check the weather carefully and take it seriously - we saw lots of unprepared people. We instead took the smaller walk to the Tama lakes which was also stunning.
It’s roughly a 2.5 hour walk over the barren tundra to see two huge lakes formed by previous volcanic eruptions. There are also small streams and waterfalls along the way, so plenty to see and do!
There are also various hikes that veer off the main routes but be careful as some are quite long and have no toilets. The main routes are well maintained with toilets every 45 minutes or so.
There’s a welcome center and cafes at the entrance but everything them is very expensive! We stopped off at small shops before hand and stocked up to save money!
‼️ Make sure you use suncream and top up often, we walked for four hours and it was very hot with absolutely NO SHADE. Please be careful, we saw lots of burnt people. Even if it’s cold and windy you can burn ‼️
📍Address: Tongariro National Park, half an hour drive from Turangi
🕰️Business Hours: Depends on the weather please check daily!
💰Average Price per Person: £30-100 depending on your group size and guide.
🗓️Itinerary Scheduling: Get there early and start early, try and be done by lunch to avoid the heat and lack of shade

Witness The Full Power Of Mother Nature, Huka Falls Taupo NZ
Huka falls are a phenomenal natural wonder about ten minutes drive from Taupo on the north island of New Zealand. The waterfalls form huge rapids and produce crazy amounts of foam which is where they get their name, ‘Huka’ is Māori for foam.
There’s a small car park at the main entrance with a height over the main entrance rapids, there are various paths that follow the river to various viewing platforms. We only walked for about ten minutes and found two viewing platforms with incredible views.
The falls themselves really are unbelievable and the sheer force of them is hard to comprehend, you can hear the water before you see it. If you’re in the area you really need to visit!
Be careful on the walking tracks as it’s also a popular area for cycling and it can be quite dangerous if you’re not paying attention!
📍Address: 10 minute drive from downtown Taupo
🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: Incredible waterfalls and rapids with viewing platforms
