The most famous ancient city
#2023travelwish
The ancient city of Ayyuthaya is one of the most magnificent places to see in the world. It was one of the largest cities of its time and hosted 1 million people in the 16th century. It consists of many temples and palaces where you can take lots of photos. When you come here, the atmosphere is quite different and will take you to ancient history.
How to get there: You can take bus or taxi from Bangkok. There are many tuktuk also available
In 2023, I would like to visit Cambodia, which is famous for its ancient cities again.

Ayyuthaya- Unesco World Heritage Centre
The city, founded in 1350, was the capital city of Ayyuthaya antique empire.Dozens of Buddhist temples, statues and places are protected by UNESCO
The location is around 90 km far from the Bangkok. Since transportation is only by bus from Bangkok, I preferred to come by taxi. about 20 dollars
There are a lot of structure that you will admire, it is definitely one of the most important places in the world that you should see.
However, it makes it very difficult to travel when the weather is quite hot.
You can also experience feeding elephants near this area.
I would definitely recommend to see the living paradise on earth

Visit the site of the World Cultural Heritage City (Ayutthaya)
The big city is located in Thailand 🇹🇭 northern Bangkok
About1.5 hour drive from downtown Bangkok
Because there is no public transportation to the site of the Great City
The most convenient for us with two children is to charter a car 🚙 for a trip.
Dacheng Temple (Mahatai Temple - Buddha statue in the tree)
The Mahathir Temple is the most popular among tourists.
Buddha statue in the tree in front of the temple
This Buddha statue is closed and quiet,
Integrated with fig trees.
Wat Mahathat,
Naresuan Rd, Tha Wasukri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya 13000, Thailand

The beautiful temples in Ayutthaya
Historic City of Ayutthaya
Founded c. 1350, Ayutthaya became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century. Its remains, characterized by the prang (reliquary towers) and gigantic monasteries, give an idea of its past splendour.
Ayutthaya is far from Bangkok just 2 hours you can take a van or trian to Ayutthaya. There are a lot of old temples and elephant also the most delicious boat noodles #ayutthaya

Ayutthaya
Want to walk back to history? A place for your eyes. If you are into historical places that will captivate your eyes. This place is really for you. Ayutthaya is one of the most impressive ruined cities in Asia and a must-see for history buffs visiting Thailand. While a modern-day city has grown up around the ruins, you can find the historic core of Ayutthaya at the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Visit Ayutthaya. See the glorious past of the city through 5 magnificent temples. Buddha Head in Tree Roots will make you amazed. The city had been the capital city of Thailand for more than 400 years, you will see its glorious past through great temples and the old royal palace. The vendors around will convince you to buy souvenirs for “tourist price” so take tour time to go around and find the best offer for the stuff that you wanna buy. Overall experience 10/10 a place you must see.
