Yosemite, the overwhelming beauty of nature
Yosemite has always been something so high on my bucket list but never thought I would have the chance to go, so on a road trip around California, Nevada and Utah I had to seize the chance. We used the annual national park pass which is around $80 to try and do as many parks as possible - it’s such a good investment as individual trips to the national parks cost around $45 so just two trips justifies the price.
As with all national parks we showed the card then made a stop at the welcome center to grab maps, stickers and fridge magnets then headed into the park. The drive into the main area was stunning, and we were overwhelm so many times we had to pull over to take in our surroundings. We were there during very heavy snow and it honestly felt like a winter wonderland, the snow cover was so beautiful and the lack of other people really made us feel like we were in a fairy tale.
The drive around the park is incredible, the highlights being the high altitude views of the valleys and the main features of the loop. The views you get of the valleys are honestly overwhelming, on a clear day you are able to get such wide views that enable you to see multiple peaks, waterfalls and valleys in one view. Then the loop itself allows you to drive in and around these key features, looking up at them from ground level to get a better perspective.
The sheer volume of water in this park is fascinating, we headed to bridalveil fall which is the biggest waterfall I have ever seen. We were stunned by the level of water falling over it without a break - the sound of the water hitting the rocks and the effect of the spray frozen around the falls glistening was really mesmerism.
It’s a much easier drive than Sequoia national park so definitely a good day trip for families with small Children, there is also a lot of open space for walking and hiking so it is a lot less challenging mobility wise than some of the other national parks.

View From Yosemite Valley Floor
One of the most beautiful national park is the Yosemite National Park where there are more than 2 million visitors visiting this national park thru out the year even in the early winter season, both foreigners and locals.
Yosemite National Park is located in california, where its filled with really tall trees, and scenic mountain ranges that covers over 1200 hectares. There are more than 18 over hiking trials here which takes you to popular lookout like the half dome, yosemite falls, bridalviel falls, glacier points and many more. Each hike ranges from a 1.6km loop to more than 5km over loop, so it depends on the amount if time you have and fitness level. It's good to plan ahead and know what you are getting into, also, during the winter time some places are close due to the ice path making it unpassable or dangerous.

One Of The Top 10 Hiking Spots In US
Many have heard of the ever famous Yosemite National Park that renowned for its amazing views and huge backdrop of giant rock granites, cliffs and waterfall.
During August and Sept I feel its the best time of the year because of its dry weather but hot, and this is where the park is filled with many tourists. As this is a tourists attraction there is an entry fee per vehicle of $35 unless you are keen to get the annual park price if you think you want to come back again.
Yosemite National Park is HUGE! And if you don't wanna to walk there are several lookout points for you to drive around and view these scenic lookout around the park. But for us, we took the liberty to walk instead, and don't be surprise you will see many locals here sun tanning or just soaking themselves in the water to cool themselves off. The make sure, at least get off your car to do some hike to experience the nature in this National park.

Winter Staycation @ Yosemite
During our time in San Francisco, we decided to drive up to Yosemite national park and stayed there for a few nights. It was one of our best decisions (despite the cold) as we got to see snow!
We chanced upon Tenaya Lodge (which had great reviews) on Trip.com and decided to give it a try as well! The reviews we read were trustworthy as it was indeed an enjoyable stay there with great view of the snow, forest and mountain!
It is definitely worth the drive up to Yosemite!
Address - 1122 Highway 41, Fish Camp, CA 93623, United States

Breathtaking View @ Yosemite!
One will not regret taking time to travel all the way to Yosemite and staying for a few nights!:)
Getting There - it was a 5 to 6 hours drive from Los Angeles
Attractions - Breathtaking views of mountain, lakes and valleys
Hotels - There are various types of accomodations in the area. Ranging from Condominiums (with BBQ pits) to Lodges (with many facilities)
Food - Not to worry if you are staying at Lodges with fully equipped facilities as they would have restaurants there for dining.

Planning a West Coast Road trip through Yosemite?
Check out Autocamp at Midpines! It’s about a 40 mins drive away from the National Park, and you get to stay in chic Airstreams! The Airstreams are cosy, have heating, a toilet, small kitchen and living room. Everything you need for a fun glamping experience. They also serve food and drinks on site and barbecue sets for you to do some outdoor cooking.
The camp site is huge and you might want to request for an airstream that is closer to the main lodge for a more convenient experience. Alternatively, you can request for one further out if you want some peace and quiet.
All around excellent stay and worth the small premium!
