Victor Metropolis Hotel & Rooftop Bar
#hotelreview #hanoi #oldquarter #budget
Victor Metropolis Hotel is maintained by the victory group hospitality and is located right in the heart of old quarter which is just less than a 3min walk away. A boutique hotel where they made the effort to decorate the lobby making it look super welcoming.
For a price of less than 80 dollars a night, with breakfast included is a real steal. A comfy size bed, a bath tub and a bathroom with full amenities, there is really nothing we can ask for. The down side is, the rooms can be abit noisy at times as the walls are not that thick and the rooms are situated quite closely together. Breakfast serves at 0630hrs and have the basic supplies of both local varieties and western delights.

Hanoi Train Street 🇻🇳
#Hanoi Train Street
The Hanoi Adventurer Train Street was on my list. Unfortunately, on the day we visited, the train time was 9.30pm and it was not possible for us to go. So we went during the day
It is a residential area with a train path that runs between houses. We walked down the track, took pictures and sat in a cafe next to the railway track to enjoy some coffee and chat with the locals who were doing their usual business at the time of day. The atmosphere is great Don’t miss it if you’re in Hanoi We were on tour, or you can book a tour. Or you can just walk down the street, buy a drink (you don’t have to buy egg coffee, you can get a coke and watch the train pass very soon and fast! Retreat)
An interesting place! I had this place on my wish lists and I made it by my tour guide.
There are some annoying cafe owners there and you can only get into the train street in their shops. You better ask a local guide to take you there.
An Aesthetic Hotel In Old Quarter Hanoi🇻🇳
Hanoi Graceful Hotel is a 3 star hotel that located in Old Quarter Area in Hanoi City. This hotel has an aesthetic, elegant and romantic vibes.
What i like the most about this hotel is the strategic location. This place near Hoan Kiem Lake, Temple of literature, and so many restaurants. You can just walk to reach that place.
The price that i paid already included breakfast. The breakfast is good and they change the menu everyday. Hotel’s staff are so helpful and humble.

The Most Famous Coffee Shop: Cong Caphe 🇻🇳
If you are traveling to Vietnam don’t forget to stop at the most famous cafe in Vietnam, named Cong Caphe. This cafe is so famous in Vietnam, the place is so instagenic and the price of the food are so reasonable.
Cong Caphe in Vietnamese: Cộng Cà Phê is a coffee shop that has a story behind it. You can easily find this cafe all over the larger cities of Vietnam like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (they have many branches).
The word “cong” means communal or public and reminds of the Viet Cong (Vietnam War era guerillas) or Cong San (communist). The first cong caphe store is open in 2007, located at Trieu Viet Vuong street in Hanoi City.
This time i tried their Yoghurt Coffee, it tasted good, and their fresh lime without sugar! also, for the snacks i tried their Croissants w condensed milk.

19th Century Europe in Vietnam!
Saint Joseph’s Cathedral in Hanoi is a fascinating example of neo-gothic European architecture from the 19th century in the heart of one of Southeast Asia’s biggest metropolitan areas. The inside of the cathedral is distinctively more modern than the external facade would suggest, which makes the cathedral a rather unique. In many ways the cathedral is a strange balance of East and West, old and new, religious and secular. The area around the cathedral is filled with artisan restaurants, takeaways, coffee shops, and bars. Therefore this church and its surroundings are a must-visit site for anyone visiting Hanoi.#Cathedral #Hanoi #vietnam
Day trip to Halong Bay
If you are in Hanoi, Halong Bay is one of the tours you should definitely take. Bus was waiting for us in front of the hotel and then we had 2 and half hours drive to the port. Our tour guy explained to us what we gonna see and also he was telling us a bit about history and development of this area. First stop before lunch at boat was Bo Hon Island where we were exploring big cave and walk around it. After that we took speed boat for 30 minutes drive around some smaller islands and after that we were doing kayaking. Lunch at boat was very nice, many different options to choose. Last stop was at Ti Top Island where we enjoyed at sandy beach. On the way back there was like a party at the boat and they had happy hour for cocktails. Very nice experience and I recommend you to try it.

Lady Bhuddha
Linh Ung Pagoda - Danang, Vietnam!
The perfect location of the Son Tra Peninsula and Linh Ung Pagoda makes it feel like where the sea and mountains meet the sky. It should be the top priority when visiting Danang. 👉 Lady Buddha Statue - The most prominent feature of this pagoda. It is the tallest one in Vietnam with a height of 67 meters. The statue is placed on a lotus-shaped foundation with a diameter of 35 meters. Inside the statue is a 17-meter-wide area that includes 17 floors and there are 21 Buddha statues on each floor.

📍Hanoi Train Street 🚊🚂
#timetotravel
Hanoi Train Street is not really a tourist attraction, but many tourists, especially foreigners, are attracted by its uniqueness.
💰💵❌Entrance- Entrance is free, but there are ladies there who convince people to buy drinks like coffee or milk tea so you can enter their shops. This is also a way for the locals to earn money since you don’t have to pay entrance fee.
🏍🛺How to get there- If you stay in the old street in Hanoi, you can just walk, or you can take a tuk-tuk or a motorcycle to get to the train street.

Halong Bay Vietnam 🇻🇳
#timetotravel
The Halong Bay tour was one of my best travel experiences in Vietnam. We visited the different destinations by boat. The sceneries are magnificent.
Along the way, we were treated to delicious local food on the boat. We also got to know the different travelers at our table. It was great 😎.
We did kayaking, I was scared at first, but then I got the hang of it and it was the best experience yet. Then we climbed to the caves which was not easy at all because there were a lot of people. Taking pictures was not easy either, but we managed it. The last destination was Titop Island where we went swimming for 40 minutes.
At the end of the day, we went home happy and satisfied. It was really a great experience.
Getting There - It’s best to book a guided tour because Halong Bay is a bit far away, especially if you’re staying in Hanoi.
Attractions - Titop Island and Hang Sungsot
Shopping - There are some souvenir shops and probably your bus will stop at these stores.

🇻🇳☕️The BEST and Amazing Egg Coffee☕️🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Hanoi Happenings🇻🇳
☕️Cafe Edition☕️
Would definitely not miss the chance to have THE famous Egg Coffee by Café Giâng,one of the most widely-known traditional coffee shops in Hanoi and the original creator of Egg Coffee in Vietnam☕️
This cafe was founded in 1946 by Mr Nguyen Giang (hence the name) who is the godfather of egg coffee in Vietnam. Their recipe has not been changed at all and their egg coffee today is still made the same way as it was during its early days.
We of course ordered a Hot Egg Coffee that came with hot water in the saucer below for keeping warm. The egg coffee is made by mixing a blend of egg yolk, condensed milk, butter and cheese with freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee. We could actually hear the sounds of blending machines from downstairs where their kitchen is located.
I personally loved this sweet coffee with a creamy topping. It wasn’t very eggy and in fact, we could taste the aroma of coffee in it. It was more like a dessert than a coffee drink and it reminds me of a tiramisu in a cup.SUPER Yummy🩷
Cafe Giang has seamlessly combined both coffee and dessert in a cup. That definitely brought coffee drinking and sweet treat enjoyment to a whole new level. An ingenious invention that pleases the palates of many as it did mine AND an absolute must try!

🇻🇳🍜Delicious Food in Hanoi🍜🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Hanoi Happenings🇻🇳
Tucked away in an alley is this amazing hole in a wall noodle restaurant-‘Pho Suong’
Suong in Vietnamese means ‘satisfy’, according to the owner, the restaurant was named this to trigger customers' curiosity.
It also refers to the way they want their customers to feel after eating their best pho in Hanoi.
And they were right about that, this was on my eat-list in Hanoi, the light and sweet broth is the highlight of their famous dish ‘Pho Bo’ which is made from stewing beef bones and meat for hours. The beef is also on point, steak well done and is not dry also manages to retain a certain level of moisture. Each piece of beef is carefully thin-sliced, tender, and meaty. We were smitten with our Beef Pho, adding the garlic, lime and chili peppers found on the table took the dish to a whole new level. We sweat like crazy eating this dish up but it was totally worth it😋
P.S. Went for a walk after that and had some really delicious Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls from one of the restaurants on Beer Street😋This was another tasty dish especially when dipped in that sweet and sour vinegar sauce.

Train Street @ Hanoi 🇻🇳🚃🛤️
Don’t be fooled by the name “Train Street free entrance”, visiting the train street aint free…
When I reached the entrance, I was greeted by an aggressive stall keeper (who does not speak english) who would not let me to walk to the tracks unless I went to the specific coffee shop he owns…
Visiting a coffee shop is as expected because I know the train streets full of coffee shops, however, I was not expecting the staff to be this aggressive?? When we left, we saw the same stall keeper being aggressive to a Western couple and shouting get out to them… 🙄
But anyhow, keep this in mind when you plan to visit.
I would say I am lucky because I did not look at the train schedule beforehand and I managed to see the train passing through 😍!!! When the train is going to pass through the tracks, you will hear whistles and the staffs at the coffee shops would hurriedly ask the customers to get off the tracks and go INSIDE the store because the track is very close to the coffee shops. The train looks tiny from a far but it’s actually so massive.

Strolling Along the Art Capital, Hanoi!
It's indeed that Hanoi is one of the capital cities that preserve their culture and centuries-old architecture. The vibrant vibe of the city brought me back to ancient times. Though it was revitalized by modern cafes, bars, clubs, and restaurants, Hanoi didn't lose its bygone beauty.
I spent most of my time rambling around Hoan Kiem Lake, which is located in the Heart of Hanoi, The Old Quarter. The various species of trees make the lake unique and mysterious. This lake also offered me a serene ambiance after the boisterous crowd of bars and clubs surrounding the lake. It's best to come here on the weekends because they have more local events and performances. By this, you'll learn more about their culture. You can also see more tourist spots in the Old Quater like museums, Railway Cafe, temples, etc.

🥰The Beautiful St.Joseph’s Cathedral🥰
🇻🇳Our Hanoi Happenings 🇻🇳
We visited the St.Joseph’s Cathedral on Nha Chung (Church) Street, it is the oldest Catholic church in Hanoi. It was very convenient to walk from the Old Quarter. This was one of the first structures built by the French colonial government in Indochina when it was first opened in December 1886 and completed in 1888. In spite of the long wars that destroyed major parts of Hanoi, St Joseph’s Cathedral is still in good condition. Today, it is a historical attraction in Hanoi which remains the image of the beauty of the old Hanoi. This Church makes an impression of the ancient beauty of Hanoi and it is definitely a must-visit sight!
