Victoria
Victoria was the last stop on our Alaskan cruise, and we only had around three hours to explore the city. We found some walking trails from the cruise ship terminal towards downtown and Chinatown. The Parliament building was impressively beautiful under the glow of the setting sun. It is next to Royal BC Museum, which was already closed - but I definitely plan to go back and visit! Not far is Chinatown (Canada’s oldest), where we grabbed a late night bubble tea snack before heading back to the ship.

In the gold mines 🇦🇺
Location: Golden Point Victoria 3350, Australia
Admission fee: $29 for child, $49 for adult
Despite it’s pricy ticket, this tourist attraction is quite worth the cost due to the fact that you could spend a whole day there. A musuem presenting the story of Ballarat, a goldrush boomtown, it has costumed characters that interact with crowds, horse coach rides and even underground mines.
It encompasses a lot of different shops, from areas where you can look at old bowling pins, to shops that display old vintage clothing and jewellery, and even a church and an undertaker shop.
There are also areas where you can use a pail to sift through the soil in search of gold, which is a great place of entertainment for families with kids. Complete with food outlets and many different attractions within it, it’s a great place for a fun family day.

💕 stunning nature at Twelve Apostles
#valentinescape
One of the highlights along the Great Ocean Road was the Twelve Apostles and is recommended as a must-do experience. We were won over by the truly breathtaking view of the Twelve Apostles. From different lookout points, we were treated with a different stunning vista of the limestone stacks rising out of the ocean. We also learned about the history of the area, including the early settlers and shipwrecks that occurred along the coast.
Indeed, it is a nature spot for anyone to see how these limestone stacks evolved over thousands of years through erosion and continue to be shaped by the ocean. Maybe when we visit again next time, we will have another different view of the Twelve Apostles.

Close Encounters In Werribee
Had absolute fun and a total different experience in Werribee Open Range Zoo located about 40-50mins drive out of Melbourne.
You will have a chance to do tours be it the public or pay for a private tour where you will be able to get even closer to the animals and a guide will drive you around in a small 20 seater bus which would go off course at times and not following the public tours. This brings you to an experience into the savannah where you will come up close with rhinos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, bison and much more. The guide will also gives you a very brief explanation of the animals and allow you to understand more of its habitat and its behaviour.
Furthermore, you will also be able to get tickets from trip.com itself, and in addition be able to claim with trip coins too! This is definitely an experience not to be miss!

Apollo Bay Staycation
Had the most amazing stay at apollo bay with Seafarers Getaway.
Imaging having a bbq, with great food, wine and an amazing view of the ocean and the sunset. It was just breathtaking.
Apollo bay was also just a 10mins drive away with great food especially the fish(Barramundi) and chips. Seafarers Getaway is also approx a 45-60mins drive to the popular great ocean road and also to the famous otway rainforest where you can catch glowworm at night.
We also get to feed the lamas right before check-in and also seeing them grazing the grass early in the morning!
This is a place that I would definitely come back.

Great Ocean Road Scenic Spots
Great Ocean Road has a couple of scenic spots that you can stop.
The above photos consist of a few:
- The London Bridge
- The Razor Back
- 12 Apostles
- Thunder Cave
Most of these scenic shots are approx 500-800m one way so it's a relatively good hike and also wheelchair friendly!

Great Ocean Road(12 Apostle) Stay
One of the most beautiful stay we had was at pebble point. Very close to all the scenic spot.
Overlooking the valley, with an amazing view and with a promising sunrise to catch. Waking up in your bed to see the sun rise is just amazing!
This also includes an ensuite toilet of your own, making this a very comfortable glamping experience right by the great ocean road and the many scenic spots here.

Morialta Falls Hike
Morialta Falls Hike located a 5mins drive from the town of Rostrevor of South Adelaide.
There are several walking trial for this in Morialta Conservation Park. But the 3 popular ones are the First Falls, 2nd Falls and the giant cave.
First Falls and 2nd Falls have a total of 4.1 - 5km return loop, depending on the path you take. It is a grade 4 hike where it goes up steeply at times but definitely do-able if you do it slow. Take some time to absorb the view. The path is gonna be gravel with a few rocks but you don't need to do some rock hoping. But of course this isn't wheelchair chair friendly and requires a certain amount of fitness.
The giant cave only requires a short steep climb of a total of 89 steps. There after you can continue with the loops of the falls if you would like.
There is a short walk to the bottom of the falls(800m one way) which allows you to take photo with the falls.

Gorgeous Mackenzie Falls
Mackenzie Falls located in Grampians Victoria Australia
A short hike(1.2km return) for both the lookout from above and a hike(1km return) towards the base of the fall with a total of 200m elevation. D
The hike to the base of the fall requires people to be physically fit as this isn't wheelchair friendly. steps down towards the base can be quite step and climbing up from the falls require some good cardio. Remember to bring water with you although it's a pretty short walk but it can be really tired especially for someone who does run like myself.

Victoria, B.C
Another great day trip! This was my first bus tour and while I didn’t care for the people I was on the bus with I had a great time in Victoria. Started with a long boat ride which I loved and it was a great time for some to catch up on sleep. Then we went to downtown Victoria and China town. A really cute town with unique sights, town hall, the harbour and China town are all so different. Last stop was Butchart Gardens. I won’t lie I did not expect much, I like exploring but a garden would never have been on my radar. It was amazing! Really. Flowers of all kinds everywhere and nothing looked the same at all. Always new things to look at, I think I took the most photos here. There were some crowds but it’s done in a way that the line keeps moving. If there are is people in the way give it a second they will move on soon. #victoria #bc #canada
Victoria Chinatown
Chinatown is one of the oldest districts of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Many buildings date to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when reformers associated with Sun Yat-sen organised opposition to the Qing Dynasty from here.
Today Chinatown remains one of the best places to get Chinese food in the city and is a popular tourist destination.
Chinatown is just a short walk from the Inner Harbour, where float planes and helicopters from Vancouver and ferries from Washington State arrive, and not far from the cruiseship terminal.

In Victoria, BC, a breathtaking moment unfolded as nature painted the sky with vibrant hues. A double rainbow appeared, casting its ethereal glow across the cityscape. The first rainbow, its colors rich and vivid, gracefully arched across the horizon. Its beauty alone was enough to inspire awe and wonder. But then, as if in response to the collective gasps of onlookers, a second rainbow emerged, delicately mirroring the first. The dual arcs seemed to dance in perfect harmony, a celestial spectacle that filled the hearts of those who witnessed it with joy and a profound sense of connection to the natural world.#Victoria BC

Small, fun capital of BC
Victoria is around an hour's ferry ride away from Vancouver and another 40 mins bus ride to the city center.
It's a lovely small city that's charming and very picturesque. Of course, you have to visit the Parliament building, which is a grand building with lovely domes overlooking the harbor. The garden area around the building is also a very nice stroll.
The harbor area is full of energy and life, and there always seems to be something going on. It's also a good place to stroll along and get lovely views of the water.
There's also a Chinatown in the city which offers many cool narrow alleys. You can also get some Chinese food here.
A bit afield, there's the market for the beginning (or end) of the long TransCanada highway. A nice sign marks that point and the area is also has great sea views.
Overall Victoria is a great day trip from Vancouver. It's calm and quaint and offers you several attractions! This city is full of greenery!
