Exploring Punggol East
#exploresgtogether #attractions #foodie #urbanhike
A day spend exploring Punggol East starts with a big feast at Fatpo. To this day, I still close my eyes and dream of eating that fried chicken bowl. Next, yummy cakes from Whisk & Paddle because we like to queue just like all Singaporeans, to satisfy our sweet tooth!
After all that heavy sleep-inducing food coma, try to burn off some calories to relief the aftermath guilt by talking an urban hike along promenade riverside walk and you will be surprised by the picturesque sights along the way.
How to get to Punggol Container Park
By car: There’s plenty of parking so driving is your best bet when getting to Punggol Container Park
By public transport: There’s a nearby bus stop with bus services 3, 83 and 85 which you can take from Punggol Temporary Interchange. The nearest LRT is Riviera station.

Top 12 things to do in Guangzhou!
When we landed in GZ, we were blown away by how green it was. A stark difference from the concrete jungles we were used to living in China.
During the summer months, the city is full of flowers and greenery everywhere you look.
There is so much to see and do in GZ, you could spend a weekend or a week here without a shortage of things to do! We could have gone on forever but here are our top 12 recommendations (in no particular order):
1. Huacheng Square -surrounded by popular attractions like the IFC building, K11, library and museum. Great view of the Caton Tower (this place is a 🌈 of colour by night).
2. Zhujiang park 🌲🌸🌿(a oais in the heart of the city).
3. Party Pier 🍽️🍹💃(lots of outdoor restaurants and bars with a stunning view of the city)
4. Canton Tower 🌈
5.Cloud Pathway 🏙️🌲(8km scenic walkway through the center of the city, a great way to see some of GZ's popular parks and landmarks).
6. Four Seasons/IFC Building 🍰☕🥂(enjoy an amazing view of the city and Canton Tower whilst indulging in a high tea or cocktail at either one of their 2 bars)
7. Baiyun Mountain ⛰️🚠 (lots of well maintained walking trails)
8. Cycle or walk along the river. Start at Haixinsha Island and carry on to Ersha Island (another place that is worth a visit on it's own) 🚲🚶. We highly recommend going around afternoon/dusk 🌇🌆.
9. Liwan Lake Park 🏞️ (massive park with a lovely lake, gardens and ancient style buildings)
10.Escape the heat and visit some of the massive malls 🛍️ . K11, Parc Central, Grand View, IGC and Taikoo Hui are worth a visit!
11.Sunac Snow Park 🏂(yes you heard right, there is a snow park in Guanzhou complete with a ski lift!)
12.Yuyin Shanfan 🌿🌷🌺🌸🏵️(Stunning gardens, lakes and architecture. The tranquil environment makes it a perfect escape from the bustling urban city).
We ❤️ GZ!

Unique Urban Hike
Between us we have traveled to many cities around the world and I have never experienced such an impressive urban hike as the Cloud Pathway in Guangzhou.
The Cloud Pathway is an 8 kilometer pedestrian walkway that connects several popular parks and landmarks in the center of Guangzhou.
Makes for a great day out but doesn't involve hours of travel. Suitable for all fitness levels and the best part is it is completely free!
