And in my trip from Cologne to Munich, it takes a long train around 5 hours, so I naturally wanted to stop by another city along the way. And Stuttgart turned out to be a good choice in my research. However, due to the nature of DB train getting disrupted, my trip to Stuttgart was forced to shorten to less than 6hours. That said, I still managed to do the following places: 1) Schloss Solitude - an old castle located far away from the city centre, thus the name 2) Schlossplatz - around it is the new castle and many other interesting architecture, so definitely worth a visit 3) Schillerplatz What I didn’t manage to cover but look promising are: 4) City Library 5) Porsche Museum 6) Mercedes-Benz Museum (huge discount one hour before closing)

Stuttgart is well known for its Christmas market🎄, the largest in the world. It is held simultaneously at four venues: Schlossplatz, Schillerplatz, Marktplatz, and Karlsplatz, making it a large-scale market and the largest in the world☺️ Four venues may sound like it would be a lot of work to see, but in reality, if you just walk and look at the shops, you will soon reach the next venue, so the distance didn't bother you. The decorations on top of the shops are particularly elaborate and amazing, so it's a must-see✨ There are Santas and reindeers on the ground, and it's snowing, so it seems that they hold a decoration contest☺️ Every shop sells gluhwein (red wine made with fruits and spices) in original cups, and each shop has a different taste, so please try it. Please note that the business is until 12/23. What an experience & what a place with so much history! I’d advise a full 3/4 hours to spend here to be able to absorb much of the information on offer & it’ll still maybe not be enough…. Well maintained & with so much history, engines, cars etc.
