Lunar New Year Day Trip to the UK
🌟I've been to London twice. Although it rains almost every day, the charm of this empire on which the sun never sets is endless. However, food, drink, entertainment, taxis, and accommodation are really expensive, so it's best to save money where you can. I stayed near Paddington Station in London, and hotels over CNY 2,000 are very average, so it's up to you.
🌟Today, I'm going to Oxford, which is about an hour's drive from the city center. After arriving at the University of Oxford, the first stop is Christ Church, one of the largest colleges at the University of Oxford. Harry Potter fans should definitely check out the filming location. ➡️ Next, head to the famous Bridge of Sighs at St John's College. This beautiful arched bridge is indeed somewhat similar to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice. ➡️ Then, check out the Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera. The rich collection of books is amazing, and the circular building is also one of the iconic buildings of the University of Oxford.
🌟In the afternoon, take a train from Oxford Station to Bath, which takes about 40 minutes. It's a five- or six-minute walk from the station to Bath Abbey, a church with a super-luxurious Gothic architectural style. It was built in the 7th century and is still well-preserved after more than a dozen centuries. ➡️ Next, head to the Roman Baths to admire the Roman-era hot spring baths. ➡️ Then, head to Pulteney Bridge, a quaint bridge with a small waterfall in the river. This is a must-see attraction. ➡️ Then, visit the Royal Crescent, which is made up of more than 500 composite classical columns and sculptures.
🌟If you have time, I recommend stopping by Bicester Village on your way back to London. There are many brand discount stores here. Burberry is reasonably priced, so you can buy scarves and down jackets.
