I thought about it, like I'm going to clean my karma and put all my thoughts in order😍 but... there're some restrictions for foreigners... so we used one agency to plan our trip for three of us from Kunming... there's really expensive trip and all agencies have the same programs... so we decided to go for 9 days with visiting Everest base camp🤩 I was so existed and tried not to pay attention for little disadvantages in the beginning. first two days we spent in Lhasa. because you should used to altitude. there were already some changes and strange things... 🧐 then our trip had gotten started... we spent most of time in the bus, because we should get EBC in two days... every stop wasn't longer than 30 minutes, excluding lunch, of course (only Chinese cuisine, btw).... finally we had gotten the EBC... the weather was terrible and we all were sad... and the next morning we decided to leave a little longer to wait maybe weather become better instead of visiting one monastery ain Singatse... and the miracle came🤩 but as soon as we saw the peak we rushed to leave the base camp😒 guide assured us we should go ASAP... the next day we rushed to namtso lake, which we were going to visit the day later... so we arrived after 5pm to enjoy our time there till the park were closed🤔🤐 guide told that's because we could have more time at last day in Lhasa for shopping🤮 so finally we rushed from interesting nature spots just for shopping... that two last days in rush became the reason of my frustration😓 so the trip wasn't treatment, but vice versa I felt like I was tired and haven't enjoyed the time there... so my expectations were much more than reality🤧 wish everyone had better trip to Tibet. it's an unreal place. it's another world😌 it worth to be seen... but plan your trip carefully according to your interests😊#tibet

In early October 2021, my friend Anna and I ventured to the on the adventure of a lifetime and a bucket list trip…an 8 day tour through the highest region on earth…we made our way to the Tibet Autonomous Region. To say this trip was life changing feels accurate. There was so much to see and learn about. We saw so many famous and breathtakingly beautiful landmarks. These included lakes, glaciers, palaces, and of course, the highlight…Mount Everest Base Camp. Pro Tip: Bring Advil and drink plenty of water! Ganden Monastery (Tibetan: དགའ་ལྡན) or Ganden Namgyeling or Monastery of Gahlden is one of the "great three" Gelug university monasteries of Tibet. It is in Dagzê County, Lhasa. The other two are Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. Ganden Monastery was founded in 1409 by Je Tsongkhapa Lozang-dragpa, founder of the Gelug order. Potala Palace, immense religious and administrative complex in Lhasa, southern Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It is situated atop Mar-po-ri (Red Mountain), 130m above the Lhasa River valley, and rises up dramatically from its rocky base. Potrang Karpo (completed 1648; White Palace) once served as the seat of the Tibetan government and the main residence of the Dalai Lama; from the mid-18th century it was used as a winter palace. Potrang Marpo (1694; Red Palace) houses several chapels, sacred statues, and the tombs of eight Dalai Lamas; it remains a major pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists. King Srong-brtsan-sgam-po commissioned the building of a palace in Lhasa in the 7th century. Significantly smaller and less elaborate than its 13-square-km successor, it was named the Potala (“Pure Land” or “High Heavenly Realm”) for reasons that are not historically documented, although Mount Potala in India seems the likely source. Tibetan Buddhists acknowledge the Dalai Lama as the incarnation of Avalokiteshvara (Chinese: Guanyin), a bodhisattva whose home was on Mount Potala. Of more than 1,000 rooms in the Potala, the ones considered most holy are the Chogyal Drubphuk and the Phakpa Lhakhang, remnants from the original palace of Srong-brtsan-sgam-po; the latter houses the sacred Arya Lokeshvara (Avalokiteshvara) statue. The Jokhang Temple is the holiest temple in Tibet, housing the life-size image of Buddha Jowa Sakyamuni. The outstanding architecture style and devoted pilgrimage are the best highlights of this 1300-year-old monastery. Not being the largest or the oldest Tibetan monastery, but Jokhang Temple is the most revered and intensely spiritual sacred monastery in Tibet because of its important role in the development of Buddhism in Tibet. More importantly, the Jokhang Temple houses the one of a kind treasure of world Buddhism - the life-size image of 12-year-old Jowa Sakyamuni which has become the most revered idol in whole Tibetan region. Yamdrok Lake is a freshwater lake in Tibet, it is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. It is over 72 km long, 4441m above sea level. The lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and is fed by numerous small streams. The lake has an outlet stream at its far western end and means turquoise in English due to its color. Around 90 km to the west of the lake lies the Tibetan town of Gyantse and Lhasa is a hundred km to the northeast. The ruins of Zhongshan ancient fort stand on the cliffs in the middle of the ancient city of Gyantse, and the entire group of ancient castles is staggered on the top of the mountain, with an altitude of 4020 meters, which looks very majestic in the middle of the nianchu river plain. What makes Gyantse the most famous is that it has a heroic history that can be sung and wept. Baiju Monastery - Built at the beginning of the 15th century, Baiju temple is a temple with three major sects of Tibetan Buddhism: Sakya, Kadang and Gelu. It is located in Jiangzi Town, Gyangze County, Shigatse, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is surrounded by mountains in the south, North and East. The temple is surrounded by water on all sides, about 230 kilometers south of Lhasa and more than 100 kilometers east of Shigatse, with an altitude of 3900 meters. Tashi Lhunpo Monastery (Tibetan: བཀྲ་ཤིས་ལྷུན་པོ་), founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama, is the traditional monastic seat of the Panchen Lama, and an historically and culturally important monastery in Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. The monastery was sacked when the Gorkha Kingdom invaded Tibet and captured Shigatse in 1791 before a combined Tibetan and Chinese army drove them back as far as the outskirts of Kathmandu, when they were forced to agree to keep the peace in the future, pay tribute every five years, and return what they had looted from Tashi Lhunpo. The monastery is the traditional seat of successive Panchen Lamas, the second highest ranking tulku lineage in the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Baiju Monastery in Gaze City. The temple was built in 1427 and is a monastery where the Sakya, Shalu and Gelug sects of Tibetan Buddhism coexist. The most famous thing about the Palkor Temple is that it has a huge statue of Shiva and 100,000 pagodas. The pagoda is called the Jixiang Duomen Pagoda, also known as the "Great Pagoda for Liberation of One Hundred Thousand Seeings and Hearings", the "White Pagoda" or the "White Residence Pagoda". The tower was started to be built in 1414 and took ten years to complete. It has nine floors and is 42.4 meters high. It consists of a tower top, a rafter, a tower belly, and a tower base. The entire tower is small at the top and large at the bottom, with 108 doors and 76 Buddhist halls. The door lintels are decorated with exquisite reliefs of flying dragons, elephants and lions.
