If you’re planning your first trip to North India, 15 days gives you enough time to experience Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan without turning the whole trip into a race between cities. This is the route I would take, with enough time to actually enjoy each place, explore beyond the main attractions and have a few slower moments along the way. 🇮🇳 Days 1–3: Delhi | 3 nights Start with 3 nights in Delhi. Spend your first day exploring Old Delhi, including the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk. Then visit Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate and some of the city’s quieter areas. Delhi can feel overwhelming at first, so I wouldn’t try to see everything in one day. Give yourself time to get used to the traffic, crowds, heat and incredible energy of the city. 🚆 Delhi → Agra: around 2–3 hours by train 🕌 Days 4–5: Agra | 2 nights Stay 2 nights in Agra rather than rushing through it as a day trip. Wake up early for the Taj Mahal and allow yourself time to simply take it in. Afterwards, explore Agra Fort and visit Mehtab Bagh for a different perspective of the Taj Mahal. Having a second night also means you don’t have to immediately jump onto another long journey after visiting one of India’s most famous landmarks. 🚗 Agra → Jaipur: around 4–5 hours 🩷 Days 6–8: Jaipur | 3 nights Give 3 nights to Jaipur, the Pink City. Visit Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and the City Palace, but also leave time to wander through the markets and colourful streets. One of my favourite things about Rajasthan is that the experience isn’t only about ticking monuments off a list. The streets, architecture, food, shops and everyday life are a huge part of the experience. 🚗 Jaipur → Pushkar: around 3 hours 🌸 Days 9–10: Pushkar | 2 nights Spend 2 nights in Pushkar for a slower change of pace. Walk around Pushkar Lake, explore the colourful lanes and visit the Brahma Temple. The town is much smaller and more relaxed than Jaipur, making it a good place to slow down for a couple of days. 🚗 Pushkar → Jodhpur: around 4–5 hours 💙 Days 11–12: Jodhpur | 2 nights Next stop: Jodhpur, the Blue City. Spend your first day exploring the enormous Mehrangarh Fort and enjoying the views across the blue-painted houses. Then explore the old city around the Clock Tower and Sardar Market. I would definitely look for a rooftop café or restaurant around sunset. Seeing the blue city from above is one of those moments that makes you realise why Jodhpur is so special. 🚗 Jodhpur → Udaipur: around 5–6 hours 🌅 Days 13–14: Udaipur | 2 nights Finish the Rajasthan section in Udaipur, surrounded by lakes and palaces. Visit the City Palace, explore the old streets and take a boat ride on Lake Pichola if conditions allow. Try to catch sunset by the lake. After the intensity of Delhi and the impressive forts of Rajasthan, Udaipur feels like a much more peaceful ending to the journey. ✈️ Udaipur → Delhi: around 1.5 hours by flight ✈️ Day 15: Delhi Return to Delhi for your final day and keep it flexible. Depending on your flight time, you can revisit somewhere you loved, do some last-minute shopping or simply enjoy a relaxed final meal before heading home. 🗓️ My 15-Day Route 🇮🇳 Delhi: 3 nights 🕌 Agra: 2 nights 🩷 Jaipur: 3 nights 🌸 Pushkar: 2 nights 💙 Jodhpur: 2 nights 🌅 Udaipur: 2 nights ✈️ Delhi: 1 final day 15 days / 14 nights The biggest mistake I would avoid is trying to add too many destinations. Rajasthan is enormous, and the distances between cities can be surprisingly long. This route gives you a good mix of history, architecture, colourful cities, local culture and slower moments, without spending every other day sitting in a car. And honestly, leave some room for spontaneity. Some of the best memories in India can happen when you put the itinerary away and simply walk down a street to see where it takes you. #NorthIndia #Rajasthan #IndiaTravel #Delhi #Agra #TajMahal #Jaipur #Pushkar #Jodhpur #Udaipur #RajasthanTrip #IndiaItinerary #IncredibleIndia #Tripcom #TravelInspiration

If you are looking for a completely different side of India, Udaipur should be high on your list. Known as the City of Lakes, Udaipur is surrounded by the Aravalli Hills and is filled with enormous palaces, peaceful lakes, colourful streets and beautiful rooftop viewpoints. Unlike the hectic atmosphere of Delhi, Udaipur feels slower and more romantic, with much of the sightseeing concentrated around the old city and Lake Pichola. Here is my ideal 3-day Udaipur itinerary to experience the highlights without rushing. 🗓️ DAY 1: City Palace & Lake Pichola 🏰 City Palace Start your trip at City Palace, the enormous palace complex overlooking Lake Pichola. This is not just one building. It is a collection of courtyards, balconies, gardens, halls and museums built and expanded by generations of Mewar rulers. Take your time here because the details are incredible, from colourful glass mosaics to ornate doors and views over the lake. ⏰ Allow around 2 to 3 hours. 🌸 Jagdish Temple Walk down from the palace towards Jagdish Temple, one of Udaipur’s most important Hindu temples. The entrance is reached by a steep flight of stairs, and the exterior is covered with beautifully carved stone figures. 🍛 Lunch in the Old City The area around the City Palace is full of small restaurants and rooftop cafés. Look for a rooftop with views over Lake Pichola. Having lunch while watching boats cross the lake is one of the experiences that makes Udaipur special. 🚤 Lake Pichola Boat Ride In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. You’ll pass several of Udaipur’s most recognisable landmarks, including Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, while getting a completely different perspective of the city. 🌅 If possible, time your ride for late afternoon or sunset. 🌆 Dinner with a View Finish your day at one of the many rooftop restaurants around the old city. At night, the illuminated City Palace and lakeside buildings create a completely different atmosphere. ⸻ 🗓️ DAY 2: Monsoon Palace & Udaipur’s Lakes 🌅 Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace Start early with a trip to Sajjangarh Palace, also known as the Monsoon Palace. Perched high on a hill overlooking Udaipur, it was originally built as a monsoon retreat and offers spectacular panoramic views across the surrounding lakes, city and Aravalli Hills. 📸 This is one of the best places in Udaipur for wide landscape photographs. 🌿 Saheliyon-ki-Bari Return to the city and visit Saheliyon-ki-Bari, a historic garden known for fountains, lotus pools, marble pavilions and greenery. It is a much quieter experience than the major palace complexes and makes a good stop after the morning’s sightseeing. 💙 Fateh Sagar Lake Continue to Fateh Sagar Lake, one of Udaipur’s most beautiful lakes. Walk along the waterfront, enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and stop for a drink or snack. 🌅 Sunset at Ambrai Ghat For sunset, head to Ambrai Ghat. From here, you get one of the classic views of Udaipur, with Lake Pichola in front of you and the City Palace rising dramatically across the water. This is definitely a place to bring your camera. ⸻ 🗓️ DAY 3: Culture, Markets & Hidden Corners 🏛️ Bagore Ki Haveli Start the day at Bagore Ki Haveli, a historic mansion on the waterfront. Inside, you’ll find rooms decorated with traditional objects, costumes, artwork and other pieces connected with Rajasthani life. If your schedule allows, check whether the evening cultural performance is running during your visit. 🛍️ Explore Udaipur’s Old City Now simply wander. The streets around the old city are filled with colourful shops selling textiles, jewellery, handicrafts, miniature paintings and traditional Rajasthani products. This is the part of Udaipur where I would avoid following a strict schedule. Stop for chai, explore the small lanes and look for architectural details hidden between the shops. 🎨 Shilpgram If you are interested in traditional Indian crafts and rural culture, visit Shilpgram, an arts and crafts complex on the outskirts of Udaipur. It showcases traditional houses, crafts and cultural traditions from Rajasthan and neighbouring regions. 🌅 Final Sunset For your final evening, return to Lake Pichola or find another rooftop overlooking the water. Udaipur is one of those destinations where the view itself becomes part of the experience. ⸻ 🗺️ THE PERFECT 3-DAY ROUTE DAY 1: City Palace → Jagdish Temple → Old City → Lake Pichola boat ride → Rooftop dinner DAY 2: Monsoon Palace → Saheliyon-ki-Bari → Fateh Sagar Lake → Ambrai Ghat sunset DAY 3: Bagore Ki Haveli → Old City markets → Shilpgram → Lake Pichola sunset 📸 Best Places for Photos 📍 City Palace: incredible architecture and lake views 📍 Lake Pichola: classic Udaipur panorama 📍 Ambrai Ghat: one of the best views of the City Palace 📍 Monsoon Palace: panoramic views over the entire area 📍 Old City: colourful doors, balconies and narrow streets 📍 Fateh Sagar Lake: beautiful mountain and water scenery ☀️ When to Visit The cooler months from October to March are generally the most comfortable for exploring Udaipur. The middle of the day can still be warm, so starting early and planning indoor or relaxed activities around midday works well. The monsoon season can also transform the surrounding landscape, bringing much greener hills and fuller lakes, although weather conditions can be less predictable. 💡 How Many Days Do You Need? 2 days is enough for the major highlights. 3 days is ideal if you want to explore at a comfortable pace, enjoy the lakes and have time for rooftop dinners and wandering around the old city. If you have 4 days, you can add excursions outside Udaipur or simply slow down and enjoy the city without constantly moving between attractions. And if you are planning a Rajasthan trip, Udaipur works particularly well as part of a longer route through Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. 💙 Udaipur isn’t just about its palaces. It’s about the combination of water, architecture, hills and atmosphere that makes the city feel completely different from anywhere else in Rajasthan. Would you visit Udaipur for the palaces, the lakes or the incredible sunsets? 🇮🇳✨ #Udaipur #Rajasthan #IndiaTravel #IncredibleIndia #UdaipurTravel #CityOfLakes #LakePichola #RajasthanTravel #IndiaItinerary #TravelIndia #indianpalaces #UdaipurDiaries #TravelInspiration #BucketListDestinationn #TripMoments

Jodhpur is one of the most atmospheric cities in Rajasthan, famous for its sea of blue-painted houses, magnificent forts and colourful old-town streets. If you’re exploring Rajasthan, I’d definitely include it in the itinerary! 📍 Mehrangarh Fort The highlight of Jodhpur and one of the most impressive forts in India. Sitting high above the city, it offers incredible views over the famous Blue City. Inside, you can explore beautifully preserved palaces, courtyards, royal rooms and an interesting museum. 📍 Jaswant Thada Just below Mehrangarh Fort, this elegant white marble cenotaph is surrounded by gardens and offers beautiful views towards the city. It is much quieter than the fort and worth combining with your visit. 📍 Blue City & Navchokiya One of the best things to do in Jodhpur is simply walk through the blue-painted neighbourhoods. The area around Navchokiya has some of the most photogenic streets, with colourful doors, small temples and houses painted in different shades of blue. 📍 Toorji Ka Jhalra This historic stepwell is tucked into the old city and is one of Jodhpur’s most interesting architectural spots. The surrounding streets are also great for exploring local shops and cafés. 📍 Clock Tower & Sardar Market Head to the bustling market around Ghanta Ghar to experience a completely different side of the city. Expect spices, textiles, handicrafts, jewellery and plenty of local snacks. 📍 Umaid Bhawan Palace One of the world’s largest private residences and an impressive example of Indo-European architecture. Part of the palace is still the residence of the former royal family, while another section operates as a luxury hotel and museum. 📍 Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park Located beside Mehrangarh Fort, this large ecological park was created to restore the rocky landscape around the fort. The walking trails offer a different perspective of the monument and the surrounding landscape. 💡 How long to stay: I’d recommend 2 full days for Jodhpur. Start early at Mehrangarh Fort, explore the Blue City and stepwell during the afternoon, then enjoy sunset from one of the city’s rooftop cafés overlooking the fort. Jodhpur is a perfect stop on a Rajasthan trip, especially if you’re combining it with Jaipur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer. 💙 #Jodhpur #BlueCity #Rajasthan #IndiaTravel #IncredibleIndia #RajasthanTravel #MehrangarhFort #OldJodhpur #TravelIndia #IndiaTrip #Tripcom #TravelInspiration

Udaipur is famous for its lakes, palaces, and royal architecture, but some of my favorite moments in the city came from discovering places that are often missed by first-time visitors. Beyond City Palace and Lake Pichola, Udaipur has peaceful gardens, historic temples, artistic neighborhoods, and viewpoints where you can experience a quieter and more authentic side of the City of Lakes. If you have an extra day in Udaipur, these hidden gems are perfect for escaping the crowds and seeing a different side of this beautiful Rajasthan city. 📍Ahar Cenotaphs Located just outside the main tourist area, Ahar is one of Udaipur’s most peaceful historical sites. This impressive collection of marble cenotaphs was built in memory of Mewar’s royal rulers and features beautiful domes, detailed carvings, and elegant architecture. The quiet atmosphere makes it a great place for photography and a deeper connection with Udaipur’s royal history. 📍Badi Lake (Jiyan Sagar) While Lake Pichola receives most of the attention, Badi Lake offers a more peaceful experience away from the busy city. Surrounded by the Aravalli hills, this beautiful lake is a perfect spot to enjoy nature, take photos, or simply relax while watching the sunset. The views from the nearby Bahubali Hills viewpoint are especially impressive, offering a panoramic view over the water and surrounding landscape. 📍Menal Village & Temples A little farther from Udaipur, Menal is a hidden treasure for travelers interested in history and architecture. The ancient temples feature incredible stone carvings, and the nearby waterfall creates a beautiful natural setting during the monsoon season. It is a great stop for those who want to explore beyond the typical tourist route. 📍Sajjangarh Biological Park Located below the famous Monsoon Palace, this green area is often overlooked by visitors. The park offers walking trails, natural surroundings, and a chance to enjoy a quieter side of Udaipur away from the busy streets. It is especially enjoyable in the morning when the weather is cooler. 📍Shilpgram Crafts Village For a more cultural experience, visit Shilpgram, a rural arts and crafts complex showcasing the traditions of Rajasthan and neighboring regions. Here you can see traditional houses, local handicrafts, folk performances, and artisans practicing their skills. It is a great place to learn more about the region’s culture and pick up unique handmade souvenirs. 📍Explore the Old City Beyond the Main Streets One of the best hidden experiences in Udaipur is simply walking without a fixed plan. The narrow lanes around the old city are filled with colorful doors, small temples, traditional workshops, and local cafés. Take your time, look beyond the main streets, and you’ll discover the everyday beauty that makes Udaipur so special. 💡Useful Tips · Rent a scooter or hire a driver if you want to explore places outside the city center. · Visit viewpoints during sunrise or sunset for the best light and cooler temperatures. · Keep extra time in your itinerary because Udaipur is a city best enjoyed slowly. · Combine hidden gems with the main attractions to create a more balanced experience. · The cooler months from October to March are ideal for exploring outdoors. Udaipur’s famous palaces and lakes are unforgettable, but these lesser-known places reveal another side of the city. From peaceful lakes and ancient monuments to local crafts and hidden viewpoints, these experiences show why Udaipur is much more than a postcard destination. #Udaipur #HiddenGems #Rajasthan #India #CityOfLakes #BadiLake #AharCenotaphs #TravelIndia #ExploreIndia #IncredibleIndia #RajasthanTravel #TripCom #OffTheBeatenPath #CulturalTravel #BucketList

If there is one place that defines Udaipur, it has to be Lake Pichola. Surrounded by grand palaces, historic ghats, and the Aravalli Mountains, this beautiful lake is the reason Udaipur earned its nickname as the “City of Lakes.” Whether you visit at sunrise, sunset, or after dark when the palaces are illuminated, Lake Pichola offers some of the most unforgettable views in Rajasthan. The lake was originally created in the 14th century by a local tribesman named Pichhu Banjara, and later expanded by Maharana Udai Singh II when he founded Udaipur in the 16th century. Today, it is one of the most iconic places in the city and a perfect reflection of Udaipur’s royal charm. The best way to experience Lake Pichola is by taking a boat ride. As you slowly move across the water, you’ll see some of Udaipur’s most famous landmarks from a completely different perspective. The magnificent City Palace rises dramatically along the eastern shore, while the elegant Jag Mandir and the world-famous Lake Palace appear to float on the calm waters. The sunset boat ride is the experience I would recommend the most. As the sun disappears behind the Aravalli hills, the golden light transforms the entire lake. The palace walls glow, the reflections become magical, and the atmosphere becomes incredibly peaceful. It is one of those moments where you understand why Udaipur is considered one of India’s most romantic cities. After your boat ride, take a walk along the nearby Gangaur Ghat. This historic waterfront is one of the best places to enjoy the lake views, watch local life, and take beautiful photos. In the evening, the area becomes especially charming as the lights around the lake begin to shine. For another incredible viewpoint, head to one of the many rooftop cafés and restaurants in the old city. Enjoying a traditional Rajasthani meal while overlooking Lake Pichola is one of the best ways to end a day in Udaipur. 💡Useful Tips · Book your boat ride around sunset for the best views and photography opportunities. · Arrive early if you want a quieter experience at Gangaur Ghat. · The lake views are beautiful throughout the year, but October to March offers the most comfortable weather. · Combine your visit with City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and the old city, all located nearby. · Bring a camera because the reflections of the palaces on the water create some of Udaipur’s most iconic photos. Lake Pichola is more than just a beautiful lake. It is the soul of Udaipur, connecting the city’s royal history, architecture, and peaceful atmosphere. Whether you explore it by boat, enjoy the view from a rooftop, or simply sit by the water watching the world go by, this is the place where Udaipur’s magic truly comes alive. #LakePichola #Udaipur #CityOfLakes #Rajasthan #India #RoyalIndia #TravelIndia #IncredibleIndia #RajasthanTravel #udaipurtravel #IndianHeritage #TripCom #ExploreIndia #SunsetViews #BucketList

Among all the cities I visited in Rajasthan, Udaipur had a completely different feeling. While the region is famous for its forts and deserts, Udaipur feels like a peaceful escape built around shimmering lakes, royal palaces, and unforgettable sunsets. Often called the “Venice of the East,” this beautiful city has earned its reputation as one of India’s most romantic destinations. The magic of Udaipur comes from its setting. Surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains and centered around a network of beautiful lakes, the city feels like a painting brought to life. The reflection of palaces on the water, narrow old city streets, and golden evening light create an atmosphere that feels timeless. The best place to experience this romance is Lake Pichola. A sunset boat ride here is one of the experiences I would recommend to anyone visiting Udaipur. As the boat moves across the calm water, you can admire the grand City Palace, the beautiful Jag Mandir, and the famous Lake Palace floating in the middle of the lake. Watching the city glow as the sun goes down is a moment you will remember long after your trip. Another reason Udaipur feels so special is its royal heritage. The city is home to magnificent palaces that tell stories of the Mewar dynasty. Walking through the courtyards of City Palace Udaipur, exploring the elegant rooms, and looking out over the lake makes it easy to imagine the royal celebrations that once took place here. For a more intimate experience, explore the old city on foot. The small lanes around Lake Pichola are filled with colorful shops, traditional art galleries, rooftop cafés, and hidden corners where you can slow down and enjoy the atmosphere. Some of my favorite moments were not at the major attractions, but simply watching local life unfold around these historic streets. Udaipur is also a city best enjoyed at sunset. From rooftop restaurants, you can enjoy views of the lakes and palaces while tasting traditional Rajasthani dishes. Places around the old city offer some of the most memorable dining experiences, especially when the lights begin to reflect on the water. 💡Romantic Experiences Not to Miss · Take a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. · Watch the city lights from a rooftop restaurant. · Visit Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace for panoramic views. · Explore the peaceful gardens of Saheliyon Ki Bari. · Enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner with cultural performances. · Walk around the old city after sunset when the streets become beautifully illuminated. Udaipur is not only romantic because of its palaces and lakes, but because it encourages you to slow down. It is a place where you can spend hours enjoying a view, wandering through historic streets, or watching the sunset without needing a packed itinerary. That combination of beauty, history, and peaceful moments is what makes Udaipur one of India’s most unforgettable destinations. #udaipur #cityoflakes #rajasthan #india #romanticdestinations #lakepichola #royalindia #travelindia #incredibleindia #rajasthantravel #indianheritage #tripcom #exploreindia #travelinspiration #bucketlist

Standing proudly on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola, the City Palace Udaipur is one of Rajasthan’s most impressive royal landmarks. With its grand courtyards, colorful balconies, intricate artwork, and breathtaking lake views, this palace feels like stepping into a different era. During my visit, what impressed me most was not just the architecture, but how every room and corridor revealed a story about the Mewar dynasty and its centuries of royal traditions. Construction of the palace began in 1559 under Maharana Udai Singh II, the founder of Udaipur, and continued for nearly 400 years under successive rulers. This long history is reflected in the palace’s unique combination of Rajput, Mughal, European, and Chinese influences, creating one of the most fascinating architectural complexes in India. The palace is actually a collection of several interconnected palaces, courtyards, and museums. Walking through the entrance gates, you’ll discover a world of beautifully decorated rooms, peaceful courtyards, and incredible viewpoints overlooking Lake Pichola. One of the highlights is Mor Chowk (Peacock Courtyard), famous for its stunning glass mosaics depicting three peacocks representing different seasons. The craftsmanship is remarkable, with every small detail showing the incredible skill of Rajasthan’s traditional artisans. Another must-see area is the Manak Mahal (Ruby Palace), known for its collection of crystal and porcelain decorations, and the Zenana Mahal, which offers a glimpse into the private spaces of the royal women. The colorful stained glass windows, miniature paintings, and ornate decorations throughout the palace make every corner worth exploring. Don’t miss the palace balconies overlooking Lake Pichola. From here, you can enjoy one of the best views in Udaipur, with Jag Mandir, Lake Palace, and the surrounding Aravalli hills creating an unforgettable panorama. For an even more special experience, visit around sunset. The warm golden light reflecting on the lake makes the palace look even more magical and creates some of the best photo opportunities in the city. 💡Useful Tips · Allow at least 2 to 3 hours to properly explore the palace complex. · Visit early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy cooler temperatures. · Wear comfortable shoes, as there are many stairs and long corridors. · Consider hiring a guide or using an audio guide to understand the history behind the rooms and artifacts. · Combine your visit with Jagdish Temple and a Lake Pichola boat ride, as they are located nearby. The City Palace is more than just a beautiful building. It is a living piece of Rajasthan’s history, where royal traditions, artistic heritage, and breathtaking views come together. Whether you love architecture, photography, or history, this is the one place in Udaipur that truly allows you to experience the grandeur of the Mewar kingdom. #udaipur #citypalaceudaipur #rajasthan #india #royalheritage #lakepichola #mewar #travelindia #incredibleindia #indianarchitecture #rajasthantravel #tripcom #exploreindia #culturaltravel #bucketlist

Udaipur was one of those places that felt completely different from anywhere else in Rajasthan. While Jaipur is full of grand forts and colorful streets, Udaipur has a slower, more romantic atmosphere, with shimmering lakes, elegant palaces, peaceful gardens, and incredible views at every corner. Known as the “City of Lakes,” it is the perfect destination to experience Rajasthan’s royal heritage while enjoying a more relaxed pace. Three days is the ideal amount of time to discover Udaipur’s most beautiful places, enjoy its famous sunsets, and experience the charm of this royal city. 📍Day 1: Discover Udaipur’s Royal Heritage Start your trip at the magnificent City Palace, the highlight of Udaipur and one of the largest palace complexes in Rajasthan. Built over several centuries by the rulers of Mewar, the palace combines Rajput and Mughal architectural styles with beautiful courtyards, colorful mosaics, royal rooms, and incredible views over Lake Pichola. Take your time exploring highlights such as Mor Chowk (Peacock Courtyard), the Crystal Gallery, and the palace balconies overlooking the water. I recommend visiting in the morning when the light is beautiful and the crowds are smaller. After exploring the palace, walk through the old city streets nearby. You’ll find traditional shops selling miniature paintings, handicrafts, textiles, and local souvenirs. In the afternoon, visit Jagdish Temple, a beautiful three story temple located close to City Palace. Its detailed stone carvings are impressive, and it is one of the most important temples in Udaipur. End your first day with a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. Watching the City Palace, Jag Mandir, and the surrounding hills glow in the golden evening light is one of the most memorable experiences in Udaipur. 📍Day 2: Lakes, Gardens & Royal Views Begin your morning at Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, located on a hill overlooking the entire city. The road up offers beautiful views, and from the top you can see Udaipur’s lakes, Aravalli Mountains, and surrounding countryside. Return to the city and visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, a peaceful garden built for the royal ladies of the Mewar kingdom. With fountains, marble pavilions, lotus pools, and greenery, it is a relaxing place to escape the busy streets. Next, explore Fateh Sagar Lake, another beautiful lake surrounded by hills. The area is perfect for a relaxed walk, especially in the late afternoon when the weather is cooler. For sunset, head to one of Udaipur’s famous rooftop restaurants. The views of Lake Pichola and the illuminated palaces create an unforgettable dining experience. 📍Day 3: Culture, Local Experiences & Hidden Corners Spend your final day exploring some of Udaipur’s cultural side. Visit Bagore Ki Haveli, located on the waterfront of Lake Pichola. This historic mansion has been converted into a museum showcasing royal costumes, traditional art, and everyday life from Rajasthan’s past. Stay for the evening cultural performance, where you can watch traditional Rajasthani folk dances, music, and puppet shows in a beautiful heritage setting. For a quieter experience, explore the narrow lanes around the old city, where you’ll discover local cafés, small art galleries, colorful markets, and craftsmen creating traditional Rajasthani products. Before leaving, take some time to enjoy one last lake view. Udaipur is a city that rewards slow travel, and some of the best moments come from simply sitting by the water and watching daily life unfold. 💡Useful Tips · Visit between October and March for the best weather and comfortable sightseeing conditions. · Book a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola, as it is one of Udaipur’s must-do experiences. · Stay near the old city if you want to be close to the main attractions and rooftop restaurants. · Wear comfortable shoes because the old city streets are best explored on foot. · Try local dishes such as Dal Baati Churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi, and traditional Rajasthani thali. Udaipur is more than just a beautiful destination. It is a place where history, architecture, nature, and romance come together. From royal palaces reflected in calm waters to unforgettable sunsets over the Aravalli hills, three days in the City of Lakes is enough to understand why so many travelers fall in love with this magical corner of Rajasthan. #Udaipur #CityOfLakes #Rajasthan #India #LakePichola #CityPalaceUdaipur #TravelIndia #IncredibleIndia #RajasthanTravel #RoyalIndia #TripCom #ExploreIndia #HiddenGems #TravelItinerary #BucketList

The City Palace is located in the heart of Jaipur's old city in Rajasthan, India. It was commissioned by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1729 and is the core architectural complex of the first pre-planned city palace in India. The palace architecture blends Rajasthani Indian style with Mughal Islamic style. It has been expanded over several centuries and includes areas such as the Reception Palace (now a museum), private halls, the Four Seasons Courtyard, and the closed Moon Palace (Chandra Mahal). The palace exterior walls are painted in a pink-orange hue, in accordance with Jaipur's "Pink City" regulations, and decorated with intricate floral patterns. The complex includes courtyards, gardens, and temples, functioning like a miniature city. Existing artifacts include a giant silver urn. The City Palace, built facing Lake Pichola, is a magnificent palace and one of the largest palace complexes in Rajasthan. From here, you can see the entire cityscape. It now serves as a museum housing collections of furniture and decorative items.

#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Laxmi Vilas Palace is located in Ajitnagar area of Bharatpur, India. It is a hotel converted from a royal palace and has a history of more than a hundred years. This palace was built in 1887 and has hosted many heads of state. It has now become a hotel. Because of its long history, the door of the guest room is locked with a padlock, which is very special. The space in the room is very large, with a double bed and a single bed on the other side. There was another door in the room, which turned out to be a family room that could be connected. The people next door were from the same group, so we visited each other's rooms. This room had two single beds, and the layout was slightly different, but the space was equally large. There is a garden in front of the hotel where you can walk around, and there is a swimming pool on the other side. It is really pleasant to relax and vacation here.

#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Jaipur, the Pink City of India, is a very charming city and a very popular tourist destination. There are many representative attractions alone. It would be too difficult to rush around and see them all in one day. The travel agency specially arranged for us to stay in Jaipur for two nights so that we could enjoy the tour in detail. 1. Amer Fort 🕰️Business hours: 0900-1700 💰Ticket price: 200 rupees for foreigners 💞Recommendation reason: Amber Fort, located on the hill, was once the old city of Jaipur. It is composed of many independent palaces, a mixture of Islamic and Hindu styles, and is quite magnificent. There are many walls in the building decorated with gems and mirrors. The most famous one is the "Mirror Palace". When the sunlight shines on the lenses and gems and causes reflections, the whole castle will sparkle! 2. Jal Mahal 🕰️Opening hours: all day 💰Ticket price: Free 💞Recommendation reason: The building isolated in the artificial lake was originally used as the king's hunting lodge. Later, the water level continued to rise, submerging the lower four floors of the hunting lodge, making it look as if it was floating on the lake. However, the Water Palace is currently in a semi-ruin state and requires a boat to reach it. We just took some photos on the other side, so it was free. 3. Hawa Mahal 🕰️Business hours: 0900-1630 💰Ticket price: 50 rupees for foreigners 💞Recommendation reason: Jaipur’s most representative attractions, and the beautiful check-in photos on Instagram of Internet celebrities! The exterior of the Palace of Winds looks like an exquisite honeycomb and is made up of 395 windows. The entire towering brick-red sandstone building stands on the side of the main road, with an exquisite, majestic and noble design. 4. City Palace 🕰️Opening hours: 0930-1700 💰Ticket price: 200 rupees for foreigners 💞Recommendation reason: One of the best-preserved ancient monuments in India, it is not only the residence of successive Jaipur princes, but the current Jaipur prince and his family still live in the Moon Palace. The palace architecture combines the Indian style of Rajasthan and the Islamic style of the Mughal Dynasty, which is gorgeous and noble. 5. Jantar Mantar 🕰️Business hours: 0900-1630 💰Ticket price: 100 rupees for foreigners 💞Reason for recommendation: India's oldest and largest ancient observatory, with the world's largest sundial and other observation instruments, shows the high wisdom of the ancient Indians. When visiting at noon, the bright sunlight makes the sundial scale more obvious, which really gives it a high-tech feel. #IndiaTravel#

Family, on this trip to India, I unlocked a super niche but breathtakingly beautiful place—Udaipur. No travel enthusiast should miss it! Itinerary Day 1: Arrive at Udaipur Airport in the morning, take a taxi to the hotel to check in. The hotel is near Lake Pichola. After dropping off your luggage and taking a short rest, walk to the City Palace, a landmark building in Udaipur. It is recommended to spend 3–4 hours here. The architecture blends Rajasthani and Mughal styles, creating a super atmospheric setting for photos. Day 2: Take a taxi to Jagdish Temple in the morning, about a 20-minute drive. The temple's architecture is exquisite, with a strong religious atmosphere. Spend 1–2 hours here. Afterward, go to Lake Palace. Take a boat on Lake Pichola, about a 15-minute boat ride. The palace is like a dream palace, perfect for taking stunning photos. Spend 2–3 hours here. Day 3: Go to Eklingji Temple in the morning, about a 40-minute taxi ride. This temple has a long history and unique architectural style. Spend 2–3 hours here. In the afternoon, return to the city center for a stroll and prepare for the return trip. Highlights City Palace: Grand in scale, with luxurious interior decoration, numerous exquisite murals and carvings are dazzling. Standing on the palace's viewing platform, you can overlook Lake Pichola and the entire city, which is very impressive. Lake Palace: The white palace stands in the middle of Lake Pichola, as if from a fairy tale, especially at sunset, when the golden afterglow sprinkles on the palace, and the lake sparkles, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Jagdish Temple: One of the most important Hindu temples in Udaipur, with a unique architectural style. Every day, devout believers come to worship, and you can truly feel the strong religious and cultural atmosphere. Food Recommendations Highly recommend Ambrai Restaurant, right on the shores of Lake Pichola. Their Butter Chicken is tender and juicy, and the rich curry sauce paired with soft naan is full of Indian flavor. You must try it! Also, the Indian roti is crispy and comes in various flavors, both sweet and savory. Accommodation Experience I stayed at Lake Pichola Hotel, which has an excellent location. You can see the beautiful scenery of Lake Pichola just by opening the window. The rooms are clean and tidy, decorated with Indian characteristics, and the beds are very comfortable. The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, helping to book various itineraries. It offers great value for money. ♥️India♥️ Our journey lasted 22 days, traveling solo in March. As many know, this country is often avoided by travelers. After visiting, people either want to return or never come back. For me, I want to go again, but I recommend sticking to tourist cities for safety. Here's our itinerary: ✨Rajasthan · Jaipur · Jodhpur · Udaipur ✨Himachal Pradesh · Manali · Shimla · Leh Ladakh ✨Jammu · Kashmir On the way back, we had a 14-hour transit in Kolkata. Overall, it was a fun and memorable trip. The people of India are very kind and helpful to tourists. I encourage everyone to reconsider and visit India. 📍India
