Above Obří sedlo the red trail is the only legal ascent in season; descent is red then blue Jubilee Trail on the Polish side, returning via Luční bouda. Round trip 5.5–6.5 h.
Key rules: Krkonoše NP ropes off the summit tundra in summer—stay on path, don’t sit on the moss, the growing season is 6 weeks. Cable car Pec–Růžová hora–Sněžka runs year-round weather permitting (return ~500 CZK in 2025, card only, queue at 9 a.m. can be 40 min). I walked up, rode down—saved knees, saw the ridge in morning haze.
Boots essential: Obří důl is gravel road then rooty singletrack, and the saddle is windy even in July (I needed a fleece). No refill water past Bouda v Obřím Dole, so 2 L minimum. A mistake I made: trusting the “easy family mountain” label—Sněžka is not technical but 700 m+ gain from Pec hurts if you’re not warmed up; do Spindlerův Mlýn side instead if you want gentler gradient. Best light is sunrise on the Polish slabs; worst time is Sunday noon in August when the summit has 12,000 people.

The hills turn pink and white, the scent of honey fills the air, and the paths are perfect for a beautiful photo shoot, a leisurely stroll, or a picnic overlooking the vineyards.
There's an observation tower on the garden grounds from which you can admire the garden from above.
2 km from the garden is the Mandlarna café, where you can try almond coffee and almond liqueur.
The only drawback is that the infrastructure in the surrounding area, unfortunately, isn't ready for such a large influx of tourists. So it'll be difficult with the park...
