🗓️ Durdle Door , July - 25 Degrees Celcius 🏨 Stay @Bournemouth 🍴Pack Food Hi All, after 10k views and hundreds of comments on my last Durdle Door which was very small i wanted to weight in the details for the Durdle Door only due to lots of questions raised. Thanks for all the interest ❤️✨ ❓How to go to Durdle Door ? 1. The place has a huge car park. You can drive in and daily park is around 15£ and goes up with time. 2. Busses from Bournemouth or any near coast. These hop in busses are really nice and day go over every coast there. It was around 18£ when i checked but many options. ❓Walking there from the car park ? A bit rough road.10-15 mins walk. On the hill. Left and right shores are there for the Durdle Door. The historic door is on the right hand one. While the left hand one is a beautiful, less crowded one seen on pictures. ❓What shoes to wear in the Durdle Door ? Its a bit rocky there but not harsh ones in the beach itself. Sea shoes are always a good to have. But wear shoes for your travel from car park to the shore itself. Its a 10-15 min walk and rocky. ❓What to eat there ? I would suggest packing sandwiches as there aren’t any restaurants nearby. You can find one just at the exit but haven’t tried. There are small caravans selling stuff but they open late times. Have limited options of crackers and sandwiches anf they are still at the car park so you can’t buy anything in the beach. ❓Where to stay ? I stayed at Bournemouth, 30 minutes away from the Durdle Door and travelled there with car. I also loved Bournemouth and The Hotel Best Western Plus the Connaught. You can stay at Swanage or Weymouth or Lyme Regis but i found them to be more expensive when compared. ❓Did you swim ? Yes, i did. It was 19 degrees water temperature. A bit chilly for my liking but clean and amazing one it was. Probably if the UK ever sees above 30 i will go there for the warmer swims. Hiking down to Durdle Door in summer hits different; chalk cliffs, sea breeze, and that first glimpse of turquoise water that makes you stop for a second. At the top, it’s busy but kind of electric. Families, hikers, groups of friends all soaking in the view, cameras everywhere. The walk down is crowded but fun, and once you’re on the beach it feels like the whole coast is buzzing. By the end of the day, sunburned and sandy, you drag yourself back up and there it is, that plain parking lot again, the most anticlimactic ending to a pretty unforgettable outing. Despite all that, super thankful we drove though because nobody has the energy to wait for a bus after that mini hike!

Bournemouth Beach was nice enough to have a lay and spend a good time. It was a sand beach which i like. Sea temperature around 21 degrees. Lots of places to eat and have a stay. Especially Urban Reef was a great lunch with sea food. The Ivy were our go to’s for a fancy dinner. Picnic Park Deli was a sweet breakfast spot with view. Again for dinner Da Mario Pizza was so lovely. Best Wester Plus The Connaught Hotel had great rooms with ac and a good spa service. Durdle Door , a nice view and sea. Sea clear and cold. Rocky beach. A must visit it was. Has a little walk so cautious of your foot wear. Not much to eat around. Sea temp around 19z Lyme Regis: Nice beach. Fossil walk activities. Found a few nice rocks. The views are stunning, and the photos do not really do justice to how beautiful the coastline looks in person. The only downsides are the high parking fees and the long walk between the parking area and the sea, which can feel a bit tiring. The beach itself is lovely, and the water is slightly cold, but still pleasant for swimming once you get in, and the ice cream boat is a lovely little bonus on a warm day. Overall, it is a memorable place with breath-taking scenery and a really special atmosphere. Summer is the best time to discover this incredible scenery. Located on the South Coast of England, Jurassic Coast stretches across two counties, covering a total distance of 95 miles (153 km). Most of the famous landmarks I would recommendyou to visit are the Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. We stayed in West Lulworth, a small village within walking distance of the Cove and a little hike away from Durdle Door. Staying in West Lulworth allows you to walk down to Durdle Door at sunrise which is the perfect time to see the limestone arch without the hundreds of other tourists! Having been to the UK so many times, I've seen the bustling city of London🏙️ and strolled through many leisurely small towns. But to be honest, for a long time, I thought the UK’s seas🏖️ were somewhat underwhelming. Often they were gloomy and austere, only to be admired from afar. 👀 Until this 3-day trip to Cornwall completely changed my perspective. 🌞 It turns out the UK’s sea can also be bright and radiant Arriving in St Ives, Cornwall, the sunlight poured down, the blue-green sea shimmered, and a few people lay scattered on the golden beach. For a moment, I was almost fooled into thinking I was somewhere in the Mediterranean. The town’s rolling streets hide pottery studios and small galleries🎨. A friend said this is “the light artists love most,” and indeed, the light and shadows are stunning. 🪁 At the world’s end, the sea is there to be heard Land’s End has a more romantic name—the edge of the world. Standing at the very tip of the UK mainland, only the endless Atlantic Ocean lies ahead. The wind is so strong it feels like it could blow you away. Everyone falls silent, just quietly standing and listening to the waves crashing against the cliffs. It’s a sound you can’t hear in bustling cities—the voice of the Earth itself. 🔮 A sea stone gate that has watched for 100 million years Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast looks like an elephant’s trunk dipping into the sea. I picked up a stone, and the guide said it might be a fossil from 100 million years ago, so I gently put it back. This isn’t just looking at the sea; it’s looking at a cross-section of Earth’s evolution. 🌊 Waves as BGM for the show The Minack Theatre on the cliffs has the Atlantic Ocean as its stage backdrop. It’s not a cold sea; it’s a sea full of emotion and stories. 🏨 About this trip We stayed two nights at Holiday Inn hotels, including breakfast—comfortable and clean. Starting the day with a warm English breakfast before heading out was very reassuring. 🚗 The boutique small group had no more than 20 people, the pace was just right, no time wasted waiting or searching for others, leaving more time for yourself. 📝 Some honest thoughts The journey isn’t short, but the scenery along the way is the highlight. Traveling southwest from London, the landscape visibly becomes wilder and more magnificent. Three days is just enough to explore the essence of Cornwall’s coast. Excellent place!!! Must see!!! Parking is close to trail. Amazing walk along Jurassic coast. Nice view. Fill that you are at that time when dinosaurs lived. Nice beach. You can swim near a mountain that looks like a dinosaur!!! Again best is to go there at nice sunny summer day. Can book a ship to look see this amazing view from sea side. Devon is great place visit!!!

#uktrip Day 2 started quietly, but little did I know how perfect it would turn out. Woke up in Bournemouth, staying at the Royal Bath Hotel, with the calm coastal air setting the mood for the day. No fancy breakfast plans — just a classic Tesco meal deal to fuel what was about to be a long but unforgettable journey. Simple start, big plans. Later, I hopped on the bus that takes you through the forest areas towards Poole, passing through Sandbanks — honestly one of those routes where you just sit by the window and watch everything change outside. Trees, water, open roads… the ride itself felt like part of the adventure. Got dropped off at the bus stop for Old Harry Rocks, and that’s where the real Day 2 began. We started the trek from there, and wow — that walk towards Old Harry Rocks was something else. The views, the fresh air, the cliffs, the sea stretching endlessly… it was peaceful, freeing, and genuinely one of those moments where you forget about everything else. The trail was beautiful from start to finish, and I enjoyed every step of it. One of those days where your legs are tired but your mind feels lighter. After a full day of walking and soaking in nature, the evening was all about celebrating. Ended the day with the best dinner — pizza and a glass of wine at RL Murrino Beach & Bar Restaurant 🍕🍷. As if the day wasn’t already special enough, they surprised me with a slice of cake since it was my birthday 🥹🎂 — a small gesture that genuinely made the night. But of course, the day couldn’t end there. To finish things off properly, I headed to Cameo Nightclub for some partying, music, and late-night energy. From a Tesco meal deal in the morning to dancing the night away — Day 2 really had everything. Views, trekking, good food, birthday surprises, and unforgettable vibes. Day 1 began with coastal air and no rush — exactly how a trip should start. Touched down in Bournemouth and kicked things off with lunch at Harry Ramsden’s because honestly… burger + beer by the sea just hits different 🍔🍺. No schedule, no pressure, just good food and the sound of waves in the background. Since it was my first day, I decided to take it slow. Checked into the hotel, took a breather, and let the travel fatigue fade away. Later, I headed out to roam around Bournemouth beach, walking along the shoreline, watching the waves roll in, and just soaking in the calm. Sometimes the best plans are the unplanned ones. Ended the day back at the hotel, relaxed, recharged, and ready for what was coming next. Day 2 was for views, walking, and a bit of chaos 😅 Left early for Durdle Door, went up the track, and finally saw it in real life — one of those views that actually looks better than the pictures. After that, some trekking, then sitting by the beach, taking it all in, doing absolutely nothing for a while. Peaceful, quiet, and unreal. But the walking didn’t stop there. Headed towards the other end and trekked all the way to Lulworth Cove — tired legs but worth every step. While waiting for the bus back, I grabbed a burger and chips… or at least I tried to. In the blink of an eye, a seagull decided it was his lunch now 🕊️😭. Embarrassing? Yes. Funny? Also yes. To make it even better, the restaurant shut right after — no second burger, no revenge. Eventually made my way home, ordered Domino’s, relaxed, laughed about the chaos, and called it a day. Beach walks, long treks, iconic views, stolen burgers, and zero regrets. Our trip to weymouth, we visited durdle door, man o war & lulworth cove. We had such a lush time. Great an easy to get to even if you dont have access to a car. The bus drops you right off at each point! The Jurassic Coaster is the bus by first buses. Plenty of times to get there and back.
