🇬🇧My weekly dose of happiness comes from beautiful old houses and antiques✨ 📍Kingston Lacy ⭐️Reasons to visit: A super famous 17th-century English country mansion🕌 Not only is it incredibly beautiful, but its collection is also absolutely stunning! 🏛Historical Highlights: Built between 1663-1665 by Sir Ralph Bankes 19th-century legendary figure William John Bankes took over And transformed the red-brick old house into an Italian-style palace💫 Adding many grand touches: · Ornate spiral staircase · Spanish-style hall · Numerous famous European paintings · Extremely rare Egyptian artifacts 💔The poignant story behind it: Forced into exile in 1841 due to homosexuality But still remotely managed the estate's renovation from Europe This artistic legacy is incredibly moving😭 🎨Current Special Exhibition: Rembrandt's 'Self-Portrait with a Feathered Beret' is currently on display Hurry! It ends on March 22nd🕰 📍 The Den (p13-18) A 20-minute drive from the estate A two-story super large antique shop + its own restaurant So many items you'll be spoiled for choice👀 Simply a paradise for vintage lovers🌈

#uktrip Kingston Lacy is a magnificent historic estate that offers visitors a rich blend of history, art, and natural beauty. The elegant country house immediately impresses with its grand façade and beautifully preserved interiors, reflecting the wealth and taste of the Bankes family who owned the estate for generations. Inside, visitors can admire fine art, antique furnishings, and detailed rooms that provide a fascinating insight into aristocratic life in the past. The surrounding gardens and parkland are just as memorable. Carefully designed formal gardens sit alongside wide open spaces, ancient trees, and peaceful woodland walks. Each area feels distinct, making it enjoyable to explore at a relaxed pace. Seasonal displays, especially in spring and autumn, add extra charm and color to the visit.
