Charming town for a day trip from Berlin
An easy day trip from Berlin idea: Wittenberg!
I took the local train from Potsdamer Platz, and it was only about 1 hour 15 minutes, so it felt surprisingly easy to get there without having to plan much in advance. There are direct regional trains from Berlin, and I just got off at Lutherstadt Wittenberg Hauptbahnhof.
Wittenberg itself feels like a completely different pace from Berlin. The historic centre is compact and mostly car-free, with beautiful old buildings and little streets that are genuinely fun to wander around. I ended up taking photos pretty much everywhere because the architecture is so pretty.
I’d give yourself around two to three hours to walk around the centre, see the main sights, and stop for coffee. Everything is close enough that you don’t really need a plan. There are plenty of cafés around the old town, especially near the main, where you can sit inside or grab a table outside when the weather is nice.
One of the main stops is the Castle Church (Schlosskirche) at Schlossplatz 1, 06886 Lutherstadt Wittenberg. It’s right in the historic centre and easy to reach on foot from the main square. The church is open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, so it’s easy to fit into a short visit.
🚆 Getting there from Berlin: Take a direct regional train towards Lutherstadt Wittenberg. From Potsdamer Platz, it takes roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, direct. From Lutherstadt Wittenberg station, the historic centre is around a 20-minute walk.
For me, Wittenberg was the kind of place where a few hours were enough to see a lot without rushing. It’s an easy change of scenery from Berlin, especially if you want pretty architecture, a quiet walk and a good café stop without spending half the day travelling.

Koh Lipe, a beautiful hidden small island in Thailand
Thailand has many beautiful hidden spots. I'd like to introduce one of them, an island on the border of Malaysia. #Koh Pee
Koh means island in Thai. The emerald sea color of Koh Pee, a small, private and quiet island, is incredibly beautiful.
This place is mostly populated by Westerners, so I'm even happier that I found a hidden gem☺️
