The fare is just over 20 yuan. ⚠️ Bring your own water and snacks. A bottle of mineral water at the summit costs 10 yuan, which isn’t worth it. After descending in the afternoon, don’t rush off. There’s a farmhouse restaurant at the base serving bamboo shoot braised pork for 25 yuan a plate. Taking the electric cart is recommended. ⚠️ The caves are cool year-round, but after being in the sun, the temperature difference inside can cause colds. Bring a light jacket. After 4:30 PM, the grottoes are cast in deep shadows by the slanting sun. Standing on the hilltop looking down at the valley, the only sound is the wind. 🍜 Back in town, try “Ma Wenqing lamb.” The stew is tender with no gamey taste. The “Tian Shang Tian” trail has steep steps but is lined with century-old pines that provide full shade. ⚠️ After 11 AM, crowds increase and cable car lines are at least 40 minutes.
