Upon arrival, I discovered that although the town is small, it is packed with numerous attractions. Many places I thought were far away turned out to be conveniently included in this area, quite unexpectedly! 😅 Opposite the Peach Blossom Spring lies the Youzhou Ancient Town, and my hotel was just about 200 meters away. 😊 This change of scenery was truly refreshing. Taigu Cave (太古洞) is located at the end of the "Shiwa Taohuayuan" route in Youyang District, Chongqing. Key details of the cave: It stretches approximately 2,500 meters in length, with a width ranging from 10 to 25 meters and a maximum height of 60 meters. The cave's unique features include its "dangerous–mysterious–isolated–awe-inspiring" beauty, with numerous clear stalactites and stalagmites of various shapes and forms that seem almost alive. Venturing deeper into the cave feels like walking through an ancient forest, experiencing the beauty of a bygone era. The high cliffs and large dome halls amplify sounds, creating a resonating echo. Perhaps due to the summer season, there are few people and it is very quiet. Although it is hot during the day, there is a strong breeze from the river, and it cools down in the evening.
