Beautiful rural restaurant with an attached hotel. There is also a beer garden. The interior is a bit plain, although it has obviously been modernized. We were very happy with the food. The service was also OK.

That was a super delicious dinner as a short stop on our bike trip from Donaueschingen to Passau. Top cuisine. Very friendly and attentive service. Only fresh ingredients. Simply perfect.

We went to Anno for the first time today and to be honest we expected more from it. The ambience is really great, which is probably why we had high expectations. The Swabian schnitzel was good, but quite dry. The medium onion roast beef was almost done, but still quite tender. The sauce might be too salty for some people though. All in all the food was OK, but we would have expected more for the price. Visually everything looked very appealing though.

Early in the morning, we drove north from Titisee Lake along the B500 federal highway to the heart of the Black Forest, passing through Triberg, and arrived in Hechingen at noon. Our destination in the afternoon was Hohenzollern Castle. It was not early, so we found a parking lot nearby after getting off the highway. We looked up and saw Hohenzollern Castle on the mountain not far away. We walked a few steps and turned a corner and entered the Hofgut Domane beer garden. Business was good and there were many people. The sun was shining, and we sat under the shade of the trees and ordered the smallest beer, but the smallest drink here was half a liter. The dishes were served quickly and were a little rough, close to the style of farm dishes, but fortunately the combination of meat and vegetables was good. The German children were running around in the shade of the trees, and they even flew towards us, which was very cute. The weather was a little hot, and it was really comfortable to drink a large glass of cold beer. After a simple meal, we went up the mountain to see the castle. We had to rush to Ludwigsburg north of Stuttgart that day, so we didn't have much time.

Restaurant is located on 8th floor of the hotel. Has a nice rooftop bar we couldn’t use due to rain. Not many seating options. The served burgers and fries (very limited menu) are average at best. They don’t ask you how you like your patties done, so mine were overcooked. The chili cheese fries are soggy, the regular fries are better. Drinks are excellent and fairly priced. Background music was present but not bothersome. Service was quite good and attentive.
