The upstairs seating is the real draw here. You can see all the way to Takeda Castle from your table. The view made the simple lunch I had taste even better.

I had a memorable anniversary lunch here, enjoying a delicious multi-course meal that included fresh fish and a delightful dessert. The combination of flavors was outstanding, and the fresh strawberries and blueberries were a highlight!

Margherita is my go-to for a quick lunch. The sourdough crust is spot on, and the sauce-to-cheese ratio is just right. Got it to go and it was ready in under 5 minutes. Perfect for a fast bite.

The Heshiko set was a fun find! They grill it over charcoal so the skin gets super crispy. Loved finishing it as ochazuke with the dashi they give you. Simple but really satisfying.

This place has a really cool vibe. Modern and chic, but still feels cozy. The drinks menu is huge, which is nice. Gets pretty packed though, so booking ahead is a good idea.

Been here a few times. The view from the windows is nice. I like that you can check out the fresh seafood market downstairs after eating. They usually have some decent local crab.

Nawaya offers a fantastic value for the quality of food served. The course meal, which highlights local ingredients, is a culinary journey worth every yen.

Handmade soba was spot on, and the crab rice bowl had great depth. It's a tiny, cozy spot. My only note was that the sake selection felt a bit limited for a place with such good noodles. Still, a very solid meal.

Staff was super friendly. I asked for a vegetarian option during my quick lunch break, and they sorted it out fast. Made me feel welcome without slowing things down. Good for a quick bite.

The squid rice bowl is really nice. The squid is so fresh and tender, with a natural sweetness. I liked the mix of raw and boiled parts, it gave a nice variety in texture. The staff was friendly and the place felt comfortable for a relaxed meal.

The mochi barley noodles were so chewy and fun to eat with friends! The texture is totally unique, not like soba or udon. We kept talking about it the whole time. A bit pricey, but worth it for the experience.

Just a heads up, they only take cash. Wasn't a big deal though, the food was really good. Had the grilled fish, it was super fresh and the sauce was nice.

Sat by the window for dinner. The canal view is nice, especially after dark with all the lanterns lit up. It's a quiet spot.

I had the chance to try both Matsuba and Kasumi crabs, and they were both delicious! The cooking methods really brought out the flavors, making it a memorable dining experience.

Grilling your own seafood on the little grill is a fun idea. Prices were okay for the beach location.
