Busy but got a table. The mushroom soup was a real treat, especially with that warm roll. Had a glass of Pinot Noir with it – the earthy notes matched the soup perfectly. A bit loud for a proper chat, but the food and drink pairing made up for it.

Stopped by after a travel mix-up, and the staff were so kind helping us sort it out. The pub felt really cozy and clean. Saw some amazing-looking fish and chips go by to another table – wish we'd had time to eat!

Had the beef Wellington. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the beef itself was cooked perfectly pink. The mushroom duxelles inside was a bit too salty for my taste, but the meat's flavour was spot on.

The memu is full of summer falvor freshness wwhihc is light and savory. The fish is cooked to perfection though the shiny reflection ray from the cars outside back into the restaurant is glaring and uncomfortable.

Came here for breakfast two days straight. The bacon was nicely done, and the sausages had a good snap to them. Eggs, black pudding, the lot – all spot on. Even grabbed a couple of cakes to go, which were lovely. Staff were really friendly.

Popped in for a weekend bite. As a coeliac, the staff were really clued up on what I could have. Went for the sausage and mash - proper comfort food, really hit the spot.

The warm focaccia when you sit down is such a nice touch. The duck with orange sauce had this incredible depth of flavour. It was all so thoughtfully presented.

Great spot to bring the dog. They even have a special menu for them, which is a nice touch. Food came out fast too.

The lamb and new potato pie was the star. Proper homemade pastry, rich filling. A solid 20-minute walk from our hotel, but no regrets.

Lovely spot with a rustic feel, those stone walls are great. The seating is really comfortable, which is so important to me. I had a drink and just relaxed there for ages, it was very peaceful.

Came in with the family, host was really helpful with the menu. Had the linguine and Korean chicken, both solid. Desserts were the highlight though, really good. Nice relaxed spot.

Grabbed a takeaway from here. The butter chicken was spot on, rich and creamy. Portions are decent for the price. Nice to have a solid Indian option in Bakewell.

The steak and kidney pudding was a proper cosy pub classic. Perfect for a catch-up with mates on a chilly evening.

Loved the old beams and traditional decor. Such a cosy spot for a quiet drink.

Popped in for a late lunch. The tomahawk pork cutlet was the standout - perfectly cooked, juicy inside with a proper crispy crust. Portions are definitely generous, no skimping here. My only niggle was the chips with the fish were a touch soggy. Still, left very full.

Breakfast was spot on after the drive from Manchester. The staff were really friendly, and they had a decent selection of juices to kick things off. My only gripe is the coffee could be a bit stronger for my taste.

Helen and the team are lovely. They even popped to the shop for us. Food's always good, and they're really patient with the kids.

The gluten-free pasta was cooked separately, which I appreciated. It had a nice al dente texture, and the sauce was rich without being heavy. A solid option for anyone with dietary needs.

A real gem. The creamy chicken curry was spot on, rich and flavourful. What really stood out was the wine list – found a lovely Spanish white that cut through the richness perfectly. Staff were friendly, no complaints there. A solid dinner.

Been back a few times this week. They really know how to keep their cask ales here—proper temperature, perfect pour. The food's hearty, no skimping on the portions. A solid local.

The bar area's had a nice refresh. Food was really good, but the lunch portions felt a bit small for the price.

Been coming here for years with the kids. They always have that same solid kids menu, makes it easy. Tried the pie special last week, just as good as I remember. Staff are always friendly.

Ordered a bunch of fish and chips for a group. The fish was a decent size, batter was nice and crispy. Chips were spot on. Staff were chill about our big, messy order. Solid for a takeaway.

The steak and ale pie was spot on - the pastry was homemade and the meat just fell apart. Really nice staff, too.
